Listen, the food is absolutely delicious. The employees are friendly. The wait time, if you don't call in your order is atrocious. Truly, you won't wait longer anywhere in Enid than at Lenox. I waited nearly :45 minutes for a burger and tots. Super satisfied once I got it, but holy crap..... I was just dumbfounded. There was one person ahead of me in line, but the rest of Enid must have placed an order that day, because I waited and waited and waited. The price you pay, I guess for getting one of the best burgers in town. I'll keep eating there, I'll just call it in next time. read more

One of the oldest joints in Enid. My wife went there years ago. The food is not over cooked as some places in town do.

Lenox hasn't been reviewed before? Surely not. This has been a staple of the community for more years than I can remember. Decades, in fact. This place is so tiny, you can't eat inside. There are tables out by the window, which is where you will place your order, if you haven't called in already to pick it up or have Instagrub bring it to you. They run specials daily, looking forward to tempting your taste buds with tantalizing burgers, fries, tots, drinks, specialty items and nostalgia. This little slice of heaven has changed hands a few times. Some good, some bad, but this go around, the cooks are on point with the food and drink. The menu floats around Facebook and there is a profile page for them, too. It is worth it to take the time to pick up an order and get your grub on with some made-to-order deliciousness! The lady working was kind of rude. Kept constantly asking if "Is that all..?" After each time I'd take a breath. I remember this place being the best place to get burgers. It was the most boring burger I've ever eaten. The meat was dry, the cheese was greasy, the lettuce had a slimy film on it. You can tell this is not fresh and a lot of the ingredients were sitting out all day. This place has really become run down and is just disgusting. read more

I continued today in my life long search for the best hamburgers along my travels. And this I chose my route to be able to hit it for lunch. And was lucky to get the Thursday double meat burger special. Just can't rave enough about the beef! It was perfectly blended and seasoned, seriously the best meat I have had in a long time. This place is so fun! I go every time i visit my brOther in Enid. They have fabulous old - fashioned burgers. The inferno is especially delicious. They also have yummy fried pickles and mushrooms. Free refills on drinks! For some reason their diet coke is phenomenal. . Not sure what makes their soda machine so great. Beware: seating is very limited and only outside. I guess you'd have to eat in your car on a cold day or take it home. But it's well worth it in my opinion. read more

We always love finding the perfect little local joint when traveling. The Lenox was DEFINITELY it. Burgers were old school with nice toasty bun. Fries were hot, crisp and delicious and the cherry limeade fabulous. Do yourself a favor and bypass all the chains and go to the Lenox instead. A locally owned little shack on the side of Grand Avenue which provides very good "homestyle" burgers for a very reasonable price. A Large single patty hamburger, tator tots and a drink were all less than $7.00. It started getting very busy at about 11:30 so I would suggest calling in your order before you head that way if you are going there around lunch time. Got this recommendation from a long time Enidite (Enoid? Enidian? Whatever. Just pick one Enid, and we will all cooperate. None of this changing around every single time I talk to a different person. I personally like Enoid, maybe you could go with that? It sort of sounds like a type of alien, which would definitely move this town up the cool meter if you embraced that and had little alien sculptures all around town. Maybe a flying saucer on top of the court house? I would be able to see it from my office at Broadway Tower. That would be the one reason to be excited to come to work, on the slim chance that the flying saucer might take off that day.) Lenox is a diamond in the dump type of place that everyone seems to know about and recommend but declines to tell me that when driving there what I need to be on the lookout for is not a drive-in a la Sonic, but a 6'x10' decrepit white shack in a gravel parking lot. Details, people. Details. The menu is on a dry erase board, but I doubt that it has changed in the last decade. I ordered the small double cheeseburger and fries. (Don't hate on me for ordering the double, my recommending source told me that the burgers were incredibly flat and tiny.) There is no drive thru, you have to get out of your car (THE HORROR!) and walk up to the shack to order. It was cold so I ran back to my car after ordering after I saw that it was an accepted practice by the other patrons. They have crushed ice (which like I said in an earlier review, is the best form of H2O that there is. So why am I telling you again if I already said it in another review? You people just don't seem to understand how much crushed ice is the best thing ever, better than gummi bears. Well that's a bit of a stretch, not better than gummi bears, but awesome nonetheless. I digress) and they also have a pretty large shake, sundae, malt, etc menu. I didn't get to try any of the desserts, but I wish I had. The lady that calls out when your order is ready is remarkable. I heard my name called when I was parked 50 yards away with my window up AND the radio on. Amazing. I ate all of my fries on the way home. Yes, all of them. They were hot, crispy, greasy, and wonderful. They were like fries from the McDonald's visits of my childhood. The downside of this is that I had to eat my burger alone. The burger was charcoal-y goodness. I definitely wouldn't be afraid to order a double or triple burger, but then again I had the small, so maybe the large burgers come on a bigger bun or something. The toppings were expertly arranged, no reapportioning of pickles and tomatoes necessary. They don't have Heinz ketchup packets, but that was okay. I still haven't completely abandoned my Kerry-hating, "Don't eat Heinz ketchup" phase, so I felt a bit of camaraderie with them and their Heinz hatin' ways. I digress. I would say that Lenox is nothing particularly special, but I can only say that because I've been through small-town Oklahoma more than a few times where the "local hamburger stand" is alive and well. If you're from the Enid area, you probably already know about Lenox and have been there. If you haven't seen a hamburger stand like this before, pull over and grab a bite to eat. We've been in the area for the past 30 days just finally tried Lennox today. Wow this place does make a great burger. The meat was a very good quality and seasoned extremely well without an abundance of salt like most places do. The buns were grilled which is one of our personal favorites. All the vegetables on our burgers were fresh and crisp. Our burgers were prepared very well. I ordered the double and thought it would be a big mess stuff but it all held up very well. On a personal note I expected to feel extremely bloated and full but the quality of the food here was such that although I was full, didn't feel overly stuffed. I'm often referred to as a picky foodie kind of guy and I have to say this is one of the better burgers I've ever had in my recent memory. I would say this burger is probably as good as if not better than any burger in this entire area. The service was extremely friendly and efficient. The owner or manager was extremely informative friendly and helpful. We can hardly wait to go back to try some different versions of burgers such as the hickory the inferno or the mushroom Swiss. We really enjoyed just driving up in the parking lot walking up to the window and ordering and waiting in our car for them to notify us our order was ready. It was a charming experience for my wife and my young son. If you're looking for a great burger at a reasonable price I don't think anywhere in the Enid area you can beat Lenox. I will be back here as often as I can be in the area. Just try it I'm sure you will enjoy as much as we did. read more
