Not only did Doug and the service guy talk over me and ignore me, but Doug tried to keep my phone, I assume to try and delete the picture I had. He turned away from me and I had to physically rip my phone out of his hands because he had a death grip on it. Then the guy in the service department refused to give me my keys so I had to go through the keys to get mine. I've had nothing but issues with these people since I got the car last year. I purchased a used vehicle with an extended warranty ($4000) I found out this warranty does not cover what is stated. if you purchase a used vehicle make sure they change the hoses, the oil is changed and tires, make they match. Some dealers try to add on stuff etc. Plus tack on charges thinking you won't notice. I do the math and homework. Boomer did not even try any of these tactics. Everything was exactly as told to us. Very honest folks! I understand dealerships have limited or no quantity and less manufacturing because of covid. One refused to give us a price without coming in. Run away from these dealerships. I spoke with several people at Boomer there and all met or exceeded my expectations! My son picked the GT1. They took us seriously. Didn't play games and gave upfront pricing. Traveled 3 hours each way to pick up vehicle from another dealer. Very friendly and respectful. Drove the car to my son a hour and 20 minutes each way. Tech person came to give him overview with the sales guy. Lastly, noticed on website they do free window tinting. Requested beforehand they do this 5 hours prior. They indeed did that too! Forgive me for a very long rant. This is mostly for the service department. In April, I decided to go to a local small business to have my struts looked at. As I live way in the middle of nowhere, I thought I could save a drive and potentially help a local small company. I went to a place that was supposedly reputable, and they said the struts "could" be changed but they had identified an oil leak. They quoted a price of $650 for a valve cover gasket and $1700 for struts. I told them to order the gasket and give me a call. They told me it should be in in 2 days. Fast forward 2 weeks later, I give them a call, and they said it hadn't come in yet but would give me a call. By this point, I was beyond frustrated. I decided to call Boomer Kia to see if they had the part. I talked to Jacob and he said he could totally have the part that day. Just for kicks, I had him quote me on the job. He quoted me at $350. Yeah, $350, 300 bucks lower than the place that had yet to even get the part in. Jacob was so patient in listening to me rant and get, well, irate on the phone in regards to the other place. So, I asked him to quote me on struts. He said he would get on it and call me Monday (this was late Friday afternoon). On Monday, he called me to let me know the struts would cost $800. I nearly fell off the couch! Was the other company padding their labor charge? Taking advantage of location? Charging more because I'm a tiny little woman? Who knows, but it was outrageous. I made an appointment with Jacob for the valve cover gasket. On the appointment day, it was finally nice to put a face to the voice who had been so nice and understanding on the phone. I told him all my concerns, and they started checking out my car immediately. Yes, I was approached by a salesman. I seem like the quintessential target: after all, I have a 2010 Kia Forte with 307k miles on it. If I was in sales, I'd be all over me. However, I explained this was the only thing I got from my divorce, the car was sacred to me, and it was a work horse. The salesman was pleasant, not pushy, and genuine. About 20 minutes later, Jacob came to talk to me. He confirmed it was the gasket and had ordered the part to be picked up and also said the struts could totally wait. While I was talking to him, I had him price a new battery ($153, still cheaper than out in the sticks), and told him to slap that on my bill. Long story short, we had a hiccup (thanks Auto Zone for sending the wrong part), but I was done in a little over 4 hours. This included 2 recall jobs I had been putting off. Jacob also had to show me some pictures he took on his personal phone: when they removed the valve cover, my engine was absolutely pristine! You can't fake that level of cleanliness; this is all because I have been meticulous in service of my car. Take care of your car and your car takes care of you. Those pictures were a hot topic throughout the service department, as they see vehicles with a fraction of the mileage come in there looking WAY worse than mine. Jacob walked me to the cashier: drum roll please. The total cost for the gasket AND the battery came to $347. Yeah, $347 on what would've cost me over $900 in my crappy little living area. I was practically skipping out the door. So, I don't know about the reviews about sales. Honestly, every car dealership I've ever known have had awful reviews. I think it's the bad rep car sales gets in general. However, I can tell you that Jacob really took care of me. I mean, I even thought about sending that man a fruit basket. After bringing my vehicle in from another dealer trying to sell me on a transmission with my vehicle still under warranty. Jeff and the guys were great! After the foreman stepped in they diagnosed my issue and after receiving my vehicle back I will say it shifts way better and my fuel economy went up immediately from the issue I was having with it shifting a bit off. Sure they are a dealer, and sure the price is going to be up there. After sitting there for 5 hours finalizing all the paperwork and my son and daughter-n-law took the car home, changed insurance and received the temporary tag from Service Oklahoma, just being on cloud 9 having this car and My grand children 11 and 14 years old were ecstatic. After experiencing a devastating car accident, my car was declared totaled on November 20th 2019. I had a 2015 KIA Forte, that I had purchased at Boomer KIA almost 5 years ago. I returned back to Boomer KIA not only because I enjoyed my KIA but the customer service was phenomenal almost five years ago. I returned to Boomer KIA this past Saturday, November 23rd 2019. My salesperson was NICK. Terrible salesman, he not only wasn't knowledgeable about selling cars but I could count on one hat how many worlds he said to me. He didn't ask me about my life...how many children I had or their ages...he wasn't in tone to my financial journey and he wasn't sensitive to what had just happened that ripped my heart into pieces and turned my life upside down. He was outside working with (I guess a more qualified individual) other customers! He told me that he could not call my current lender (from the totaled car - to verify what I was saying) I went to another dealership and they did just that... The only good thing about Boomer KIA is the popcorn! All of the salesman and employees are in their own lil world. I sat back and just watched everyone, it was like watching zombies walking around or something. No one was really communicating with anyone...no laughs, no genuine conversations, or good sense of humors. Outside of the heck up with my finances, I left and went to ENTERPRISE... Enterprise was like night and day to Boomer KIA...I felt appreciated as a customer, valued to be there, and respected. My saleswoman sat down and got to know me...in doing so it became easier putting me in a car. The reason for this review is to advocate for the families kind of like me in the future...the way Nick treated me didn't feel good. Boomer Kia sold me a lemon a couple years back; I spent all of my savings on it. The engine locked up 3 months after buying it. When I brought it in, the financial guy said "You didn't sign up for the warranty", while the truth was I specifically asked for the warranty and he said it didn't cover this particular car. He then proceeded to try and sell me another car... Then everyone in service and sales watched while my brother and I spent over an hour trying to get the lemon car they sold me, on a trailer to take off of their lot. They literally stood in a line out by the overhead door in the back, and just watched. If I had known better at the time, there is a lemon law that protects people from this but lesson learned. I was told my Eric smith I'd have to wait 6 months after purchasing my vehicle to receive my second key for my car during Covid lockdowns. They lost my key or something and it's been two years I've been trying to get it. They won't give me a second key, but will charge me $300 for a "replacement". Car manager was ok tried to strong arm us into a deal we didn't want but we stood firm and got what we wanted tern wise and they did beat our banks interest-rate by almost 4% which I loved. Once we stepped into the finance office James Champ took it to the next level and showed us tire customer service and what being apart of the Boomer KIA family was about first time KIA buyers and I think from here on out these guys will have my business moving forward. I've used boomer Kia for car maintenance needs since 2018. Since I first used them for an oil change they put me a mail/email/phone call list. They consistently send me letters and emails on selling my Kia/trading in/ getting a extended car warranty. I have asked to be removed but every time I've gotten a oil change it starts again. They have okay service, but it takes forever. Making an appointment still means you will be waiting for hours. They denied us and ran our credit 12 times. Told us to come back with a cosigner.
