New Tires, brakes, rotors, oil change and battery! I went in and got a quote a few days ago from Logan. Price was less than what I expected, without battery. Brought it in this morning to get all of the work done. I asked them to check connections on battery, although I was pretty sure needed a new battery. Price with battery was still less than what I expected! Very happy! They did everything I asked, didn't try to sell me anything else. And professionalism was top notch! I paid these folks to replace a motor. I guess now I'm going to have pay someone to verify the VIN on the engine block. That should be enough tell you everything about my experience here. But just in case, I had an old Liberty that was a solid car mechanically. A problem with the cooling fan caused the motor to overheat. I gave them almost $4800 for replacement and wound up with a vehicle that can't be trusted for a drive across town. At less than 700 miles it had to go back and have the original problem repaired, for which they had a bill prepared for over $350. It was dismissed. The car had a sandwich wrapper and a red bull in the console when I picked it up, along with some grease on the carpet. The very next day a valve stem broke-off mid thread, totally unrelated, of course. I forgot to mention the steering being totally out of alignment following the first repair. It's been about 10 months and 6000 miles since the repairs and I've had to add 6 quarts of oil. You now have to shift into neutral when idling at a stop light to keep the engine running and I've added 6 quarts of oil during this timeframe. The work was supposed to carry a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. On my second visit a gentleman came out to assure me that they ran an "honest shop". I've left a couple of messages and have had no call returned. t's a take one off and put one on repair you'll probably be okay, but cover your butt. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS MECHANIC I WASTED OVER $3,000 JUST TO BREAK DOWN 9 HOURS INTO A 19 HOUR TRIP! THIS WAS THE DAY AFTER I GOT MY CAR BACK FOR THE THIRD! I had to take my car back 3x over an oil leak that they supposedly fixed. After the third time they told me there was 6 other things wrong with my car after they "fixed" a $3,000 problem. (Let's not forget the $140 in Ubers that it took to drop and pick this car up. They didn't care at all when I let them know that this is still hitting my pockets.) This shop took my car for over a month, took $3,000, and never fixed the issues. I was told by the owner that it is my fault that the car had an oil leak that I SAID TO GET FIXED BUT THEY DIDNT. Stated, "you have three oil leaks, but we only fixed two because we didn't see the other one. You will have to pay the us more to fix this leak." I don't think it's good business for a customer to ask to repair the oil leak in their vehicle. Instead of repairing the entire leak they did a half baked job and I still have a MASSIVE oil leak. This oil leak was one of the three that I had. Apparently when you ask a mechanic to fix your oil leak and they don't fix your oil leak, then it is actually your fault and they want more money. LETS NOT FORGET THAT THEY SAID THERE WAS A VERY MINOR OIL LEAK AFTER THEY FIZED TWO OUT OF THREE. 5.5 quarts of oil leaked within an 8 hour drive is way more than a "minor" leak. (Mechanics and owner told me it was minor. 5.5 quarts of oil leaking out in 8 hours is anything but minor.) This shop knew I was taking my vehicle from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania and I had to BEG them to fix my car. After $3,000 they still did not fix it. They actually told me it would be AT LEAST another $3,000 to fix my "clutch" which Logan the service advisor said was my problem. I loved the the owner called me after and told me that I don't even have a clutch in my car. When I corrected the owner he stated, "well if he says it does then I wouldn't doubt it." Then why did you just say I don't even have a clutch and it was just my entire transmission needing to be replaced? So which one is it, clutch or transmission? I'm guessing it'll be whichever one makes this shop the most money. These people are massive crooks and Logan is possibly one of the worst service advisors in the world. The owner is a money hungry clown who has no idea what he's doing or talking about. WHEN YOU TELL SOMEONE YOU ARE GOING TO REFUND THEM BECAUSE, "You and your vehicle have become a nightmare and a headache." Then after throwing your hands in the air and treating your customer like garbage, you have your owner call and tell them that you won't fix anything I PAID TO HAVE FIXED and you won't refund me my money. IF YOU WANT YOUR VEHICLE TO BREAK DOWN, THIS SHOP IS THE ONE YOU ARE LOOKING FOR! IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED LIKE IT IS YOUR FAULT THAT A MECHANIC DOESN'T FIX YOUR VEHICLE AFTER YOU PAY THEM $3,000 THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE! IF YOU WANT A SERVICE ADVISOR (LOGAN) TO TREAT YOU LIKE AN ANNOYANCE AND A BURDAN THEN YOU WON'T NEED TO LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN HERE! LASTLY, TO THE OWNER! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF KNOWING MY FAMILY AND I MOVED ACROSS THE COUNTRY, AND BECAUSE OF YOU, WE GOT STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY WITH NO SERVICE AT 11:30PM AT NIGHT. LUCKILY I HAD OIL IN MY CAR EVEN THOUGH YOU TOLD ME THE OIL LEAK WAS MINOR. IF I DIDNT HAVE OIL IN MY TRUNK WE WOULD HAVE BEEN STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR OVER 10 HOURS WAITING ON OUR RIDE. THE WAY YOU HAVE DONE BUSINESS IS THE EXACT REASON WHY SHOPS HAVE A BAD NAME. Luckily this horrible garage has a warranty that is backed by an aftermarket company. So if they do mess up your vehicle after saying the have fixed it, you have the option to take the vehicle to someone who actually knows what they are doing. (: Southside Garage, do better. I hope that you go out of business sooner rather than later so nobody has to deal with the crap that you and your company pulled on me. You are the exact reason why mechanics get a bad wrap. You steal from people and do half baked work. DO BETTER! read more

The auto repair shop seemed 'good' at one time and we trusted them, with our cars. They fixed them properly. Then they hired some guy named Logan at front desk You use to be able to talk to the actual technicians about the issues with your car before they repaired them. The last time I had my car repaired there, few days later it started making an odd noise. I thought it should be check out so took it there in evening. Logon told me I had to leave my car there overnight to checked out. I needed to know what was going on so I reluctantly left it there hoping I could get feedback from a technician the next day. Logan said it was checked out but he didn't tell me who checked it or what happened. Didn't notice until couple of days later since I hadn't drove it since I got it from the garage that the hood of car had some kind of hand print type stains possible chemical stains because nothing takes it off. Also my radio knob was broken in half. I called to ask about this issue I asked him if I could talk with one of the guys that has worked on my car in the past. Logan was very rude, said he didn't know anything about it. And would not let me talk to anyone else. We won't take our cars there anymore if we have to go through Logan the front desk guy. read more

When my car developed an oil leak, I went to several locations for an estimate. Southside was very, very reasonable and did not try to tack on additional 'maintenance items' like other places. On the other hand Firestone and Manager Brandon turned my business away by trying to tell me the popping sound when I turned was not my CV Joint, but my transmission and they won't touch it. I called a couple of other garages before I found Southside Garage and the others were way higher on their labor rates and parts I found Southside Garage by the high reviews and I am so glad I took my 2012 Nissan Altima there because they were professional, kind and up front with the diagnoses and charges to fix it. Its been two weeks since they fixed my car and I am a happy customer being a woman in most cases some businesses take advantage of the fact that some are not educated about cars or mechanics of a car and I felt very confident that they would take care of the issues with my car without charging for something I didn't need!!! I brought my car in to be checked by a mechanic, a young lady said it would be free to check beforehand over the phone. I got there at 8 in the morning on a Tuesday as they had told me over the phone what time did I want the appointment and I told them 8 when they opened, and I was one of the first persons to get there for my car to be checked. I still waited after over a hour for them to check it with people coming in after me, and they were being checked in first, which was no problem because I'm sure they had appointments. I finally got my vehicle checked by the mechanics and they told me nothing was wrong with my vehicle, only the cables needed to be tightened. The mechanic said he had only tightened some cables to my new battery I had just bought a couple days before from AutoZone, because I was told that it was the problem my vehicle was shutting off in the middle of driving which was the only reason I took my car to this mechanic to be checked. After changing the battery it was still doing the same thing so brought it to the mechanics to be checked instead, and the gentleman said nothing was wrong, the process to wanting to charge me 50.00 dollars to tighten the cables of the battery after the young lady told me over the phone, no charge to check my vehicle, and then 2 days later my vehicle is doing the same thing shutting off in the middle of traffic so I'm not sure if they even checked my vehicle or just tightened my cables to get me out the way and not having to deal with me. I feel sad because I work in the army 2 hours away, and in the Oklahoma heart hospital and my car is my transportation and was really needing help to know what was wrong and they kind of rid me off like it wasn't important for them. read more
