This is the place to be on hot days!! And you get 2 parks for the price of one!! We usually get to Great America early and hit all the rides, then when it starts to heat up around 1-2, spend the rest of the day here. The wave pool and lazy river are our faves, I could stay in the lazy river all day. They also have some water rides and small slides. Always fun times!!

As I'm sitting here writing this I'm sitting in a waterpark that isn't this one but still reminds me of the struggle that really is Boomerang Bay! Boomerang Bay reminds me of a bit more depressing Knott's Soak City before the current year as Boomerang Bay is very small with only 5 waterslides a small kiddy area with a little lazy river and a very shallow wave pool! The park itself really needs some love as they totally need more slides to make it so you can spend more time here! However the plus side to all of this is that Boomerang Bay is free for you to attend with a ticket or season pass to Great America! Pretty much if it wasn't for if you couldn't get in here free I wouldn't see any real reason to come here otherwise as there just isn't much. This waterpark is more or less for you to come Cool off in on those forever Summer California days as it's just big enough for that to keep you nice and wet just don't come here expecting to spend a whole day unless you just plan on lounging around in the small lazy river! Gold & Platinum Season Pass Holders get into the waterpark early so if your one of them definitely take advantage of that as that way you can hit the slides and then spend the rest of your day in all the awesomeness that is Great America! One other thing that I thought was super cool is the lifeguards here offer a class inside the waterpark to teach your kids how to swim that's really cool because I've never seen another waterpark do that! Overall a good place to cool down and get wet for a bit with the few slides they have all of which are great fun for everyone! I just hope Cedar Fair gives this park some love before my next visit!

Came here last weekend with my husband and 3 year old and some friends because I found out that Great America was only open for 3 more weekends. Wanting to feel not ripped off in getting the gold pass, we came here bright and early to wait for boomerang bay to open. We got to the park around 10:30 and proceeded to go straight to the water area. We waited about 15 mins before they opened the gates to let people in because that doesn't open until 11am. Have your gold pass or ticket ready again as they do check. We weren't sure if it's because we were there early or if it was just the end of the season, there weren't that many people and no lines. We got a good seat in front of the wading pool. They also have a wave pool towards the back that constantly oscillate the water creating waves. The hubs and I were able to take turns going down one of those giant slides too. Overall a good place for kids to play in the water and play around.

Dropped by here over the weekend. The weather was in the 90s so it was perfect. The swim park was clean and the people who work there seemed professional. I would definitely go back.

My family and I have been season pass holders for more than 6 years. We absolutely love coming to Boorang Bay. We always rent a Cabana tho as it gets VERY crowded.

A season pass-holder for the second year in a row but on July 4th was the first time the hubs and I brought the kiddos here. I'm being very generous by giving them three stars because they really need to expand- more water slides, decent flowing showers with a bit more privacy, changing rooms, more cabanas! And let me tell you... I am the BIGGEST germophobe! It really took a lot for me to get over myself and bring my little girl to the wading pool area to play, but when I later saw a toddler wearing regular diapers in there, that was it for me. Snatched up my baby girl and off to the showers we went where a bunch of people in line for the changing rooms watched as i struggled to soap down my daughters body and keep the shower running. The showers are posted between the changing rooms- everybody can see your business! I didn't like the idea that we had to walk around the rest of the evening with wading pool water still left in our skin. Just, EW. Cabanas were all sold out that day, there are less than 10 of them. We were lucky to have snatched up four lounge chairs. Water shoes at the little shop they had were decently priced. I paid more for the ones I was wearing from Walgreens. Food service and Dippin' Dots are in the area, so that was a plus. Unless you want your funnel cake, then you're SOL.

Empty pool that we paid to go to for little one that we could not even go on

I dont know if this company pays to have reviews removed immediately, but I just posted a one star review that has disappeared. We came specifically for the little ones slides. We were told it closed at 8 at the gate, then it took so long as new clients, for them to get us all registered. Then once inside they're us no map. We had to walk for what seemed like miles to dusky get to the water park of which we came for. By the time we got to the little ones slide at the back of park, we were just getting in line for our three year old first slide at about 5:15 when we were rudely told by punk kid lifeguards who wanted to play cop, to get out of water with no explanation. When asking any of them why, at least three of these very young employees, could not answer. Finally at closing of the park I asked a supervisor who said they found unclean, trainted water, ie some sort of contamination. We feel like we should get our money back with it being our first time and we bought a season pass since it seemed like a better deal. Very disappointing. If they'd not taken so long to register us, and if they'd had a few posted directional maps it would've been helpful. Not everyone has the ability to go on line and look for a map.

Do they have a lazy river?

Yes! if you're planning on staying in the water for more than one loop i suggest renting a personal tube as they usually make you exit after one time around the river.

As a Snoopy fan, I was super excited for Snoopy Land, with a whole range of Snoopy-themed rides, merch, and buildings. There was a good selection of food options, like Panda Express, American diners, a Southern restaurant, a funnel cake spot, Dippin Dots stands, and more. I was also impressed with how big the water park is. I spotted plenty of water slides, a lazy river, a water playground, a wave pool, and plenty of lounging seats. Definitely need to visit again and do a pool day!

Fun fun fun fact seriously try to sit with all adults as if you ride with kids even if they are behind you both share the same lap bar so if one closes it on you it's really right even for me! There are a few seat belts and the one that attaches to the bar to make it just that much tighter on you so don't forget about that little thing because you know you want it on! Once you've been strapped down to the car you try going and that's when you realize this whole becoming restrained part was totally worth it as you find yourself riding heavy down this radical wooden coaster like I said it rides heavy but you don't feel it as the whole ride is very smooth and just awesome coaster ride in it's own way which makes me kinda forget that I've been strapped down to the car the whole review through! One thing I've noticed at the park over the several few Grizzly rides is that the time of the ride opening seems to be later after the park is already open for a busy minute so plan accordingly! Overall awesome coaster for anyone but like I said don't ride with the kids if you don't have to!

There's various picnic areas throughout the park, and we were placed in the picnic area across from the playground. The picnic area had about four picnic tables and garbage bins. It was spacious enough for twenty-eight kids and five adults. The play area was a hit with the kids, ropes, tunnels, and more. The rides are more for younger children such as four or five. The group we had were kindergarten, first, and second graders and kiddie swings and granny bugs were not appealing to the age group of campers. The kiddie roller coaster was a hit. They have a zoo portion but unfortunately we were not able to view. The bathroom stalls near the rides and the play area were too small with only two stalls, made for long lines. Overall, a fun experience that the children enjoyed. Maybe more bathrooms to accommodate the large summer camp groups and a few updated rides to cater to the older children.

Unfortunately we only had 7 so we couldn't do the 8 person reservation. I called to get info about wait times (I understand that they can't give me an exact estimate so I told them give me worse case scenario) and I was advised that the group of 7 could have some long wait times so we opted to just come up with 3 of us. Upon arrival, place was dead other than 2-3 staff members within sight. We asked the individual behind the counter some basic questions being first timers at that location, we ended up purchasing 2 races and we received 1 for free because it was Tuesday and that was just a deal they had. After they took our money they said "well it could be about 30 minutes until you all race" which we responded saying that it's totally fine we will hangout thank you. Well since we had 30 minutes to kill why not buy some arcade credits and mess around (very mediocre arcade at best). After we purchased arcade credits, about 15 minutes went buy another employee came up to us to let us know that if we wanted to race we would have to wait till about 4:45-5pm because a group rented out the facility and there's just nothing they can do. Keep in mind when we purchased our races, 2:23pm to be exact, we got told 30 minutes. Somehow between multiple phone calls to confirm before the long drive and the day of upon arrival purchasing our races not a single individual let us know about this possible booking. ALSO no we did not show up before this group event, they were already there. Which in their defense the employee giving us a refund said "well we are not allowed to tell people about bookings". Great totally understandable I run a business my self and I understand private information etc. however the lying of race times, letting us wait for a bit and following up with "if you don't take the refund we will give you 2 extra races" well thanks but I find it hard to believe we got the full reasoning behind the situation... also to add more context, no we weren't those customers causing issues, being overly loud, or causing any sort of issues. Civilized beings and in return got a pretty S*** end of the stick. K1 speed its self is great but this location is ran by some individuals that have zero interest in making the experience rememberable. K1s slogan "Arrive and Drive" they have printed on their business cards left out crucial information. Arrive and drive past. Keep your money and spend it with a business that will give you the proper attention. Not asking to be treated like royalty. Just some common decency.

There's a little bit of everything, from hands-on science exhibits to animals, climbing structures, and the dinosaur garden. What I appreciated most was how interactive everything was. The exhibits encourage kids to touch, build, experiment, and play rather than just look at things. The zoo itself is small, but that's actually part of the appeal when you're visiting with young children. We saw flamingos, meerkats, rabbits, and other animals without having to spend an entire day walking around a massive zoo. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was incredibly crowded. It felt like every exhibit had a cluster of kids around it, and it was sometimes hard for my son to get a turn or really engage with certain activities. I understand it's a popular destination, but the crowds definitely took away from the experience a bit. That said, it's easy to see why so many families love this place. It's clean, well-maintained, educational, and genuinely fun for young kids.
