Haven't been here in some time to order food. Sat at the bar and the bartender was great, to food however still needs some major work. Today I ordered the "famous " chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. All I could taste was salt on this very chewy steak. Instant cream gravy could use some help, but thank god I don't have a shellfish allergy, as the Texas toast complete with garlic taste like it was apparently grilled where shrimp had been grilled. This is the worst location! The food sucks! I went Saturday, March 7th around 3:00pm in the afternoon and wasn't crowded at all. It took 30-minutes to get Cheesy fries and an additional hour to get 10-boneless wings. I had to remind the waitress to check on my order. When I finally received my wings, the were cold. This was my first time here so I didn't know what type of food to expect. We were seated right away and our waitress was awesome i forgot her name if not i would include it on this review. The food was great other than the fries being a little too salty. I ordered the California chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. The food arrived rather quickly and our waitress was attentive with a great attitude. The bathrooms are clean and they have plenty of big screen tv's to watch games. Ordered from them tonight for delivery thru Uber Eats. Order came on time but half the order was not there. Hubby ordered a sandwich and soup which was not even in the bag! When I called the restaurant all they said was "well it looks like we might have made a mistake and forgot to make the sandwich and soup, you will have to contact Uber for a refund"!! You think you made a mistake? WTH! You admit you screwed up and rather than try to solve the problem they tell me I have to call and take care of it. So I contact Uber and they give me a refund immediately so kudos to Uber... then I open up the order that I did receive! It was a chicken fried steak that I could have hammered nails with. The meat was basically cooked to a rock inside of batter that was so over cooked that when you "tried" to bite into it it would shatter. It was totally gross. The gravy had a film on top that looked like it had been sitting in the styrofoam container all day. Macaroni and cheese was cold and congealed. I mean I guess I should be glad the sandwich and soup didn't come because if they had been as bad as the food I did receive I would have had to pay for even more horrible food. I will say that since we couldn't eat the CFS we ate the banana pudding and it was decent! Bottom line, if you like your teeth don't order the chicken fried steak and for sure don't order delivery from them. Guess you're ok to eat dessert there. This is the best location to me. The service at the bar has always been quick and friendly. The bar tenders even rooted for my under dog college team to win with us. The banana pudding is amazing!! Very disappointed. This is my very first time at a BoomerJack's and it's enough for me to never try it again. When we arrived, there were plenty of seats but none where they preferred us to sit. The host told us that he doesn't know what's going on with management when the restaurant doesn't close for another 2 hours. Our waitress was great, although she had to be the bearer of bad news regarding the drink menu. Apparently, we couldn't order anything from the drink menu. She said we were better off making up a drink to order. On top of that, I ordered the steak queso, which is an appetizer, but still managed to come out AFTER everyone else received their orders. Needless to say, my queso was cold. I did let the waitress know and she took it of the bill. The manager also came over at the same time I was typing this review to check on us and was empathetic about the situation. Great place to hang out before a ball game and have a couple drinks. The queso and chips were really good, it's better when you mix the dip. The salsa on the other hand was really bland. I went this past Saturday for the Basketball game. Worst experience since I've been in TX. The waiters took for ever to take our drink order. Once I finally got my drink (shot of crown apple on rocks) the drink was half filled with water. I asked for another shot and got the same thing. The food took way too long. While waiting I was watching the bartenders make and handle the drinks. Smh definitely will be in their faces when they make my drinks. Nice Restaurant but Lacking in service. Order two dinner entrees, one was their steak with side salad and the other entree was the country fried steak. Mind you this place is open till midnight so us having dinner at 9pm in a almost empty restaurant with plenty of workers you would figure our dinner would come out in a timely manner. NOPE!! After waiting almost 30 minutes, my side salad usually served before the main entree came out along side with my cold steak and cold country fried steak (white gravy on top was solid). Great place with good service! I love how this one had patio furniture for us to sit in as we waited for our table. Our server Lauren was as sweet as can be. One of the girls in our party was running super late but she was so patient with us. She had great recommendations and checked in on us constantly. First off no one mans the host table so you stand there awkwardly waiting for assistance/looking around to see if you're missing a 'seat yourself' sign. My server was very attentive, almost annoyingly attentive because I just wanted to sit and eat alone in peace. The food was sub par, the skillet queso wasn't skillet hot like you'd expect, and after awhile it started to taste like nothing. I go to this Boomerjacks for lunch sometimes during the week when I'm craving a cheeseburger, because it's the closet place to my work (that I know of) that has a gluten-free bun. Because "gluten-free" is a fad these days, I feel that as soon as I say "gluten-free" I get judged for being "one of those people." Not that its any of your business, yelp community, but my gluten-free-ness is not by choice, and if my body would allow it, I'd eat handfuls of wheat for all five meals. Just like a big strap-on feed bag of hops and barley. Then I'd wash it down with a 12 pack of Busch. Head for the mountains. Anyway. That being sed, this Boomerjacks' gluten-free bun is a serviceable substitute for a real person bun, and the burger is always delicious (I get mine medium), with a sweet-spot combination of onions, pickles, cheese, tomato and shredded lettuce. Sometimes tomatoes can be gross and mushy, but I have yet to have anything besides crisp tomatoes on my cheeseburgers at this Boomerjacks. I'm not sure what dressing they put on their regular cheeseburgers, as I'm never asked about mustard or mayo. For this one tho, I'll leave it to the professionals, because whatever they're using, it goes great with swabs of Heinz 57. At the tail end of the burger, I always think I could order one more, like maybe it was a little on the small side. But after eating all the fries and letting it settle, I'm always super-full and satisfied. They have a lot of TVs, which is one of my criteria for a good restaurant. The music they pipe in is usually classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Bob Seeger, etc.) or neo-classic (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc.), all of which I enjoy but I think is a little loud for lunch (I assume because I'm getting old). On my many visits there, I have yet to be served or seated by an unattractive waitress who was not wearing shorty-shorts. For a shallow man such as myself, this is also important. The last time I went, the waitress seemed intrigued by the comic book I was reading while I waited on my food, though she didn't ask me about it (It was the Flash). So, if you're looking for a prompt lunch in the Arlington area that includes a cheeseburger with a gluten-free bun, fries and an iced tea that's right around $10, and you think the height of a lunch-time dining experience is ESPN on 20 different screens and waitresses in shorty-shorts who may or may not be interested in the comic book you're reading, then I highly recommend this Boomerjacks. read more

Bartender sucked-- drinks tasted like weak candy punch, however, instead of complaining about the weak cocktails, we just ordered extra well shots to make 1st original drink taste better. I was visiting Dallas from MA just for a weekend. We were at Cowboy Stadium for a tour and stopped here to visit after finding it on FindMeGlutenFree.com. (We picked a crazy day to be there, as it was the Texas vs Oklahoma football game, which I guess is a big deal down in TX!) They had a lot of gluten-free options and confirmed that they had a dedicated fryer for french fries and they were gluten-free as well. First time ordering from this Restaraunt. Ordered the Poblano Double Smash Burger customized, and let me tell you it was cooked perfectly, as well as given a great portion. The burger itself was juicy and tender, while the flavorings were well balanced. I would state that when ordered for delivery it was partly assembled, and the rest I found out after I ate my meal, came on the side for me to assemble. People of all ages at this bar. -Service: Sat in the bar area and it was decently busy. Received pretty good service especially taking into account the time and location. Food: Ribeye (medium rare of course) w/ veggies and mashed potatoes. Ribeye was delicious. I ate more than half of the steak before I realized I didn't put steak sauce on it. This is my first time i've been to this location. I've been to the one in Bedford and one in Ft. Worth, but this location is by far my favorite. The atmosphere is awesome. I've only had chicken tenders. It was really good. So were the wings. This is a fun place to hang out after work or to watch a game. There are lots and lots of TVs. I like that it is non-smoking too since I'm pregnant. Our waitress was awesome. Without even requesting that our check be split (hubby and I were there with a group of friends), she remembered who ordered what and split the ticket for us. AWESOME! Went here on a Thursday night and it was about a quarter full at most. That may not sound like a lot, but this place is HUGE. Flatscreen TVs were everywhere showing pretty much every sport that was going on at the moment. The crowd was very eclectic and seemed like a great hangout place for anyone. Service was very prompt and attentive. The waitress made sure to check on us often to see if we needed refills or wanted anything else. That may have been the reason why I ordered a few more drinks than I probably normally would have, lol. The drink specials here are great and I liberally took advantage of their happy hour deals. I also ordered some appetizers (fried mushrooms, buffalo wings, onion rings) but I really can't say too much about them. They were very run of the mill, but they weren't bad by any means. The weirdest thing about this place was the music. When I came in, they were playing 90's hits which quickly skipped to modern hip hop, proceeded to jump to country and then to old school rap. Throw in some Miley Cyrus and One Republic and you just get a mess. In summary, a great place to hang out, relax, and get a few (or a lot) of drinks. OK after reading a lot of the reviews about this place I was a bit skeptical but we had a great time! We came here to hang out and watch football games on Saturday before heading to the LSU game at the Cowboys stadium. Our waitress was fabulous and very attentive. We tried the chicken wings, they were a little small but the flavoring was good. We also split the bleu cheese burger and it was delicious! I've been to Boomerjack's in North Arlington on several occasions and have always been satisfied. Their food is typical bar food but is decent and their waitress service has always been good. This is the only reason that I am giving them 2 stars. Now why I'm not giving them a higher rating. On a recent visit I found out that they jack up the prices on both the food and the drinks if there's a concert at Cowboy Stadium, as well as limiting their menu. This happened during our most recent visit which was at least 7 hours before the concert was even going to begin. I wasn't going to the concert and didn't even know there was one that evening. In any case, why should I pay extra, just because they may do more business due to the concert. No way to treat your customers. read more

This has become home base for my friends and I for sports watching. And even if we just want to meet up for a random evening of drinks and conversation. The menu consists of standard bar fare. Burgers, wings, fries, mozzarella sticks, some salads. To be honest, the food is good but don't expect a great variety of selection. The Jalapeno Cheese Sticks are probably my favorite item. They have Happy Hour all day, EVERY day and specific drink specials everyday, except Fridays. The best drink specials? Monday and Tuesdays. $2 You Call Its. Can't beat that! Absolutely terrible service! The waitress dropped off some waters and never came back until I had to lean out of our booth, flag her down, and shout MA'AM for her to even come over and take our drink order. After having to do the same for each time we needed refills we had all officially given up and were beyond ready to go but we thought we would give her one last chance by ordering food. Oh and little side not that even though we were sitting in the restaurant portion of the place the manager walked past our booth FIVE times but never said a word just looked at what we had on the table and kept walking but the second we ordered food he all the sudden deemed us as important to talk to because he then came and asked how the food was.
