While on an overseas trip I trusted them to come to my house 4x a day. I came to discover that they had not been showing up as scheduled and my dogs had gone 11 hours with no one visiting my house. I tried numerous ways to contact the pet sitter directly Via the app, text messages and phone calls as well as calls and messages to the company. I never got a response from the pet sitter until late that evening after I had neighbors go feed my dogs and let them out. The pet sitter said her car broke down and was towed. Not once did she think to inform the company to send a replacement to care for my animals. I also was informed that the pet sitter was acting very strange on the street days prior to the point that the police were called. It took 2 days for the owner of the company to return my frantic phone calls/texts. I didnt have great cell service but was receiving texts as well as messages in the app which I received none from The owner until 2 days after the incident. I found someone else to care for my animals and fired her immediately. I would seriously think twice about using Animal Companions. Especially when you can't get In touch with anyone in an emergency.

Let me start by saying they are local, they care about our pets, they give them the individual care that each one needs (meds, lotions, etc) they meet the pet prior to intital care and they keep your pets regular schedule as much as possible. They are prompt, trustworthy, veterans which meand they are responsible, and they have never failed me or my pets in any way. These guys have checked on alarms at my house, continued on as if nothing happened when I forgot to pay them before I departed for Mexico (this only happened one time). They send me pictures almost every day along with the highlights of the visit. I have 4 dogs- Cooper who is very hard to please, Monkey who is very energetic and destructive, Walter who is a service dog and therefore he is much more needy than the rest, and Axle who is just an overall handful-- These guys came in, took control, and the dogs ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!! Worse dog walking experience I've ever had and I've been employing dog walkers for 7 years. I'm…read morewriting this as a warning to any pet owners who love their pets - do NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! To start you should know that while they operate a Houston business the owner is actually based in Dallas and has next to nothing to do with the business. He is unreliable, impossible to reach and has an unpublished address (I should know because my lawyer had to go through the Texas secretary of state to find it and then discovered that the company is no longer in good standing with the state! They do not have the legal right to operate under "The Pawfessionals" but continue to do so anyway). Darren Burleson, the owner, never let on that he was not in Houston. I have many complaints against this company but I'll leave only the worst. My dog walker, Russell, didn't show up to walk my dogs for the last 3 months and I was charged anyway. I started to become suspicious because the dogs were having accidents in the house, but I work long long days and thought maybe they needed to be walked twice. When more frequent walks did not resolve the problem I began leaving things in a certain way and taking pictures to see whether anything (leashes, collars, etc.) had been moved during the day. Much to my surprise for 2 weeks the dogs' belongings went completely undisturbed. I then went to my building to find out how often the walker's fob had been used...only to discover it had not been in 3 months!!!!! I tried to get my key back from the walker before telling the owner what I had discovered. After all, he had a key to my house and had proven himself unreliable and untrustworthy. If he found out I knew then he would worry his job was on the line and he might steal from me or worse, do something to my dogs. I wrote numerous e-mails to Darren, the owner, telling him to have Russell leave the keys for me and I left a note, taped over the lock on the door so that Russell would have to read it IF he came. Only to come home to the note still taped over the door. Russell hadn't even come to drop the keys. At this point I was irate. I tried to contact Darren who told me he would get to the bottom of it and get back to me. But he never called me back!!! Instead he E-MAILED me that Russell would be by in 20-30 minutes to drop my keys. At this point it was the evening. I'm a single female living alone and the last person in the world I want to have to confront is this man, Russell. Besides I was headed out of the house for the evening and wouldn't even be home. He sent a man who had violated my trust and stolen from me to my house at night when I wouldn't even be there!!!!! Darren was unavailable for my phone calls but thank God my amazing building has such a wonderful front desk. I told them the situation and they immediately deactivated Russell's fob and assured me he would not be allowed in the building. They met him at the door and took my keys. I then received a text message from Russell, who was presumably worried he would be fired, admitting that he had not been walking the dogs and trying to make up some medical excuse for it. I then wrote to Darren and even took a screen shot of the admission text and sent it to him. He NEVER EVEN REPLIED. HE NEVER REFUNDED MY MONEY. HE AND HIS COMPANY STOLE FROM ME. Do NOT use this service if you care at all about your dogs, your belongings, your home or yourself.

Alyson with Tanya's mobile groomer is amazing!…read more They are usually booked out in advance (no weekends, Monday through Friday only), so I felt lucky to be able to schedule an appointment via text a few days ago for the only day I could be home. I was ecstatic when I found out Alyson would be grooming, the same groomer we had last time. She is so pleasant and kind, she is knowledgeable, and after a 10 minute meet and greet inside the house, my 90 lb dog loves her. I was able to book the grooming in advance via text, they confirmed the day before, and then Alyson text me when she was on her way. Regarding cost and time, I don't have a basis for comparison, however this does feel like a premium price but for a premium service. My 90 lb rescue is a St Bernard mix that gets easily matted, the grooming cost $140 (I tipped an additional $30, total $170), and it took about 2.5 hours. As I don't have know how much grooming would be at a brick-and-mortar or another mobile groomer for the service he received, I am unsure if this is above or on par. This is a premium 1:1 service, convenient, and the time savings and care given is so well worth it! If you can dedicate hours to another task around the house or if you work from home, it feels like I was given the gift of time back to my day too. She does come inside to get to know your animal to become comfortable with them. So you need to be okay with that. This allows your animal to become familiar and comfortable with her too in their home first which I appreciate, it shows how passionate she is about animals. If you want to be updated during the grooming or if you'd prefer to get quoted if anything additional is needed, she is responsive to questions via text during the session. I am so happy I found them, and I am already thinking about when I can get her booked again.
