We have a 2 year old Basset Hound who was used to having my husband home with him all day. When his job required him to go back into the office we hired Houston Dog Butler to come every afternoon and spend an hour with Archie so he didn't have to be alone all day. BEST decision we've ever made. They are extremely professional and send thorough reports immediately following their walk with a GPS map of the walk route, a great little blurb about their visit, and a number of adorable photos! I started looking forward to these reports each day! You can honestly feel the love they have for Archie which makes us so happy. I don't even know where to begin! I was so nervous being a first time puppy mum and even more concerned about how I would manage with work. I contacted Jayce and he arranged an appointment at my house immediately. We had a great chat, gave all the in's and outs of my puppies needs, set up the lock box and it was done!! There is something to be said for first impressions and this has continued with each interaction with all the team members. Tahnya is amazing managing all the schedule updates and the dog sitters are too awesome for words!!! Most professional, competent and customizable pet service I have found. Head and shoulders above other pet sitting services I've tried. I have 2 high energy, rescue German shepherds who are super protective of their home and generally not amenable to strangers entering, let alone "leashing them up" for a walk. These guys match walkers to your pet so I got 3-4 walkers/sitters who were experienced with large protective dogs and they handle them like pros! I work in medicine and it's amazing to know that no matter how crazy my schedule gets, my pups get the exercise and "miles" they need to be happy boys. The walkers give them plenty of love as well, and, now when the walkers arrive they dart downstairs and greet their new best friends with tails wagging. One of my dogs has some health issues (sensitive to heat, has seizures) and they always go out of their way to accommodate him and make sure he is okay. I spent time researching dog walking services and just did not feel confident until this company. The owner drove from Dallas just to meet me in person! It put my mind at ease knowing that no matter what each day the same reliable person was coming into my home and caring for my little fur baby. I've only had my pup for a year and in that year we've only tried one walking service - and to our surprise we've only had to try one. Houston Dog Butler has been absolutely amazing, especially with our challenging little guy. He tends to get freaked out by new people, which made us super nervous since we wouldn't be around. After just a couple of visits, he now jumps when he sees Emily or Kenedey come thorugh the door. Even when they occasionally have a new person come in, they're super quick to adjust and help figure something out so that our dog always gets his walk. Houston Dog Butler has an app where you can schedule your visit, provide information about each dog, and pay for services. I lost my wife of 40+ years in 2017 and most recently my only brother. Both in a 10 month span. I used the Bog Butler service after my wife's passing to go on a trip with my son and some friends. I also used them during the Christmas Holidays. I was very pleased with their level of professionalism and friendliness. I got daily communication from the great dog butlers every time they came to my home. The pics and text messages were great! My dog and cats were very content. Most recently, I called the Dog Butler after hearing that my brother had passed away. I called after 7 PM and they answered the phone. I was totally amazed at the level of after hours service, I expected to leave a voice mail. I explained the situation and fully expected to hear that they could not schedule coverage in such short notice. I was leaving town the next day. Was I surprised! They were very comforting and told not to worry about the pets. They had all of my instructions from the last visits and not to worry about the pets. They had it covered. I was sooo relieved. Fabulous, just Fabulous. I've used a few dog walking services in the past and Houston Dog Butler takes the cake. There's a lot of wonderful things to say about this company but I'll focus on one item that I've been so impressed with, something that stands out from the other services I've used... Transparency: this is a huge concern for me. I'm letting you into my home to care for my dogs, right? I want to know about that! I want to know that you showed up, that you actually walked the dogs for the time period that I've paid for, I want to know that my dogs like you and are happy. HDB crushes this. Every day after the walk I receive a couple texts from the walker (usually the same person every day). The texts contain a google map showing where they walked and for how long they were out in the neighborhood. Every day I receive 4-6 pictures of my dogs out on the walk, and there is always a note about how the walk went. The list of great things about this company is extensive. HDB is absolutely amazing. I've been using their services for almost two months. The walkers are fantastic with my babies and, they love having them come. Everyone is so friendly and professional. We use Houston Dog Butler on a weekly basis for midday walks when my husband and I have long days at work. We have used private dog walkers in the past and have to say we are very happy that we found Houston Dog Butler.
