After speaking with his current daycare they stated he was not due for 2nd distemper until 03/01/2026. It is not good to give adult dogs 2 distemper shots in 1 year. Choosing Meadowlake for daycare for my border collie was the best decision I've ever made! Not only is facility and pricing amazing, but the staff is just phenomenal. Every single person that works here is kind, professional and genuinely loves dogs. They take such great care of Kirby that it literally makes my heart melt. She is beyond excited every time we are pulling into the parking lot. Like trying to jump out the window excited! Lol She gets all of the love, playtime, mental stimulation and energy exertion a border collie could ever want at daycare while I am working full time. This makes us both super happy! They charge you a separate $25/day on top of the daily lodging rate of $45/day, just to let your pet play with other dogs. The fact that lodging doesn't include group play with other dogs is beyond ridiculous. Who wants to leave their dog closed and isolated 24/7? They're not transparent about the pricing. Look elsewhere, many other boarding places include group play in the lodging daily rate. Some even have cameras for less money. read more

Our boy loves Meadowlake! He is a Great Pyrenees and 100+ pounds, so obviously traditional kennel boarding will not work for him when we take long trips. Meadowlake offers a variety of larger accommodations that make us feel good about leaving him for a few days. We always upgrade to the platinum package so we get a daily photo, and he clearly is having the time of his life playing with the other dogs and staff. They even took the time to do some holiday-themed photos for no extra charge when we were away for Christmas. The staff is very friendly, passionate about pets, and professional. Their services are a little expensive, but considering how well they take care of our dog, it's worth every penny. We will be using them for the foreseeable future. read more

I took my pups here for the first time to be boarded. So far, they seem to enjoy it. I wish there were cameras to allow you to log on and see them. The prices seem reasonable when compared to other places. It would be nice if all the rooms had a sound barrier instead of making this a luxury. My boy dog is neutered and was able to do social play but my girl dog could not because she isn't spayed yet. I get this, but it sucks. My girl dog is now barking at people which she didn't do before her visit there. She had play time but it was with a worker and with her brother and then other times she is in her "room". I used this place twice and I won't use them again. The communication between them is frighteningly bad. They've just changed their rules and drop off it at 2pm, would have been nice to have been told that when I made the reservation and not been scolded by reception when I dropped them off at noon. It seems they have a price tag for everything and some of those things are mandatory for you to pay. My dog had a bath there on his last day (so he could stay there until 7pm instead of midday) and he came back smelling worse than when we sent him. read more

They have so many different lodging options for you pups which helps since mine are all polar opposites lol so I like the fact that I'm able to choose the best options for my babies! I love Meadowlake Pet Resort. I go to the Pearland location. My puppy went there for a 10 day training and whenever I go out with him, I (he) always gets praise regarding his great behavior. When he signed up for his initial doggy daycare evaluation, he also got one free week which was great for the both of us! He's also done boarding and a bath there and he looked great after his bath and blow out. The people there are really nice and love on my little Kobe, which makes dropping him off there so easy. My only cons: In my opinion it is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for and I have liked it thus far. We adopted a 2 year old pup two months ago and had an unexpected trip come up....we were so nervous about finding the perfect accommodations for her while we were away! I called Meadowlake and asked if we could come in for a tour and they said absolutely, any time during normal business hours. We met with Ariel and she was so thorough and answered all of our questions during the tour. She definitely put us at ease! They also offer to do a free daycare evaluation (and if your pup passes, they get a week of free daycare). When we checked her in, it was an efficient process and they assured us we could call to check in. We totally got suckered into adding on the monthly pumpkin munchies because they looked edible for humans! We were 100% THOSE people who called to check on their dog every day and they staff was so nice! When we called they said everyone loves her and she loves everyone and they were giving her lots of pets! Since she passed daycare, we have taken her for the free daycare and she loves it! She comes home happy and exhausted and today the staff member lit up when we told him who we were picking up. He said he loves her! I appreciate the staff's enthusiasm - it truly puts my mind at ease! We've already booked two more boarding stays with Meadowlake and are confident out pup will love it! read more

The customer service was good. I brought my dog in for a grooming, I was told that he got a lion cut, because he would not let them cut on him any further. I took my dog here for overnight stayed with the Gold Package (cost more than a regular Silver Package) for a week, he got kennel cough when he got home, I had to take him to the Vet and got some meds. After that I noticed alot of red spots, rashes on his belly and his underarm areas. He was bitting, scratching his body to the point his fur fell out. At first i thought he got allergies so i didn't really pay attention but today i was sitting next to him petting him I saw fleas running all over his body. I was freaked out. That moment i thought of this place right away because I only keep my dog inside the house i dont take him out seeing other dogs or anything so i know it must came from this Meadowlake on 288. read more

We had a horrible experience at this place. We dropped our dog off on Thursday night in perfect health and condition. I called the next morning at 730am to check to see how he did that evening. The staff member who answered said she would check with lodging and call me back. No call back all day. I called again at after 5 And no answer. I left a detailed voice mail asking about my dog and how I call earlier. NO CALL BACK. I called again at 6 and reached a staff member which apologized after I voiced my concern about no one getting back to me. She called me back about 30 mins later. I then received a call on Sunday at 12 stating that my dog had an irritated eye and they had flushed it out and the noticed it while they were bathing him. I asked them to call me and let me know if it gets worse and update me. They called back at 347 saying it was still irritated and he might've of scratched it with his paw. I asked if there was vet on staff to look at it and they reported no, he would have to be taken to ER vet. I asked them to send me pictures and they said that they would. I attempted to call back around 415 when I didn't receive any pictures. Message that they were closed and unable to leave message. They call back around 5 asking if I got pictures which I reported no. They mumbled something about wrong phone number and hung up before I could talk with them. They finally sent pictures. I left my vacation early to drive back and get him because I was worried about the care they were providing. When I picked him up at 730 next morning, I took him to his vet to check his health. He had lost 7 lbs in the 3 nights he was there and his demeanor was lethargic and concerning. I would not recommend that place to take care of your dog. The lack of communication was the worst and the condition that I got his back was unacceptable. read more

We adopted a rescue puppy (ok, a 4-footed terrorist) back in January. After she ate 2 couches and busted through her wire crate, we realized that we needed help... but we were not certain what we were going to do. We initially brought her to Meadowlake for boarding and doggie day care... she did not pass the evaluation for gen pop. I did not want her to be locked up in solitary confinement, but realized that the problem would not get any better if we did not do anything. We took her to the training evaluation and decided that to have a good, happy dog was worth the investment... (hey, it was much less than either one of the couches...) After her 15 days at the Ivy League program, we picked her up tonight. She smelled great (they had just given her a bath.) She was excited to see us and we were excited to see her too! She is a different dog. Her spirit is still there, but her energy is contained. She understands her role in the family, and our role as well. We realize that our training is just beginning, but we have a much happier puppy. She is no longer leash aggressive, she responds to commands and did great on her field trip to Petsmart on the way home. UPDATE: We just returned from our followup training visit at Meadowlake Pet Resort. We were very curious to see how Little Girl reacted when we got there. My wife was a little nervous because LG was trembling as we drove up... but it was with excitement. She was so happy to go there and see everybody. She really enjoyed her visit there and the follow up training. It was also really good for us. Additionally, we really enjoyed the refresher training for us, and also the phone support that they offered. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We even got some "puppy souvenirs" at their gift shop (pet toys and the lamb treat that she LOVES. read more

My dog has been boarded here at least 6 times now. He seems so happy to go and super tired when he comes home. He normally has a private suite with his own doggy door so he can use the bathroom as needed. He also has an AM/PM play time with other dogs. This gives me the comfort of knowing he's staying active and having fun. They also provide a nightly tuck in service so he has some one on one time to get belly rubs and love before bed. I've also added extras like swimming, which he loves. I love bringing him here because I know he's well taken care of and the staff are friendly dog lovers. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!! Can I come play here? When they told me there was a story time party on Friday, I immediately asked if humans were allowed to go. The staff here are AMAZING and make Theodore (my dog) feel like he is apart of the family. He gets so excited to come to daycare here. Usually he gets nervous when they come to get him at the door at other places but here, he runs right into the door and doesn't even say goodbye to his mom! They give you a sweet report card after every day of daycare to let you know what your dog was up to. They also do parties and post photos on Facebook. You can also purchase a "birthday party" for your dog with full on cake, hat, and photo booth! We are getting ready to have him do boarding training and are excited about him staying in one of their nice suites with access to a patio. They also just built a splash pad for water loving dogs! I drive 20 minutes to Pearland to take him here before driving back a different direction 25 minutes away to go to work cause he and I love it that much. This review is solely based on my initial phone call to Meadowlake which left a bad taste in my mouth. After looking at their website I decided to make what should have been a quick phone call to confirm pricing for overnight lodging. The lady who answered needed everything short of my social security number to give me a rate. She asked my name, phone number, email address and even my home address! Why in the world does a facility need my home address to give a price? So you can inundate me with junk mail I'm assuming. So I gave them all fake information except for my email address. Then after gathering all this information she goes into her scripted spiel. I mean she went on and on and on. After about 5 minutes she started sounding like that character from Charlie Brown and I tuned her out until I heard her give a dollar amount. Still not even sure if that was the nightly rate but it was the only thing that caught my attention so I went with it. Then the up-selling starts (Insert eye roll), and if that weren't enough she went into detail about the various platinum, gold and silver play packages they offer. Did I mention that she detailed EACH LEVEL? ONE BY ONE! This quickly turned into the longest call ever. Like a time share presentation without the free accommodations. I just wanted out! The entire interaction was very rehearsed and used car salesman-esq. I don't want a constant barrage of information when I'm only calling for a price. If I call for a price give me that and then if I'm interested Ill ask more about the place. That should then be your queue to give me a BRIEF description of what you offer. Nothing was genuine about the call. It was clear that the lady was reading from something. So while I can understand the intent I'm much more likely to go with a place who gives me a quick, unscripted rundown (maybe 3 points) and a price without needing my first born child. There is no reason to be on the phone nearly 10 minutes for this information. Put it on the website for crying out loud! P.S. I woke up the following morning to find my very first spam email from this place (insert another eye roll) with no unsubscribe option. read more

My dog stayed here back in February and to this day he is still traumatized from his experience. I called to check in on him a couple times and they said he was doing great "just shy". Well, I would not call that the case once we picked him up. We came to pick him up and it took them about 20 mins to bring him out, once they brought him out he looked like he had no idea what's happening to him. He looked so scared and terrified and had a red bloodshot eye, he ended up biting my husband, and he had NEVER bit anyone in his life before. He was so scared of everything he finally calmed down after 2 days. And that's when his kennel cough started. So not only was he traumatized but sick as well. Afterwards, Everytime he would hear grooming clippers or even landscaping trimmers, he is petrified. We can't even take him to groomers or have groomers come because he is so scared we have to groom him at home. He freezes up to the point that he is paralyzed and can't move for a couple minutes once he hears that sound. Prior to going to Meadowlake grooming him was easy, he was never scared, just a crazy barking doggy. He is now scared of everything, I don't even know how to get him over his fears. read more

This place has turned my dog around in two personal training sessions, and made our life with our 'fur baby' a joy! My Pembroke Welsh Corgi was very out of control, bossy, and guarding territory. Also, she has started the habit of biting at our hands when we were forcing the issue on getting her to do something. The trainer Jeff is very knowledgeable, patient with dogs, and has very effective training methods. I couldn't be happier and so glad my friend recommended i go here. I would encourage anyone who is having dog training issues to try them. Also, my dog has started going to day care twice a week to improve her socialization and she loves it. The staff is very sweet, but also skilled in dog training. Even though they expect your dogs to behave, they still know how to have fun with special events, a paw-shaped swimming pool, and birthday parties (including cake, bobbing for dog biscuits and bubble chasing) for your dog. We spent $1800 for training that we could have got at home with a $20 book. While we were very big Meadowlake fans before and referred many people there we are no longer supporters. I boarded my dog here three times in the past. Two times they over medicated my dog even though his medication bottle had the directions clearly typed by the vet. I was not told, but rather discovered it when I reviewed the bill and noticed an extra "medication administration" charge on each day. You can also never speak to anyone. The only "reservation specialist" they have is Dominique, who is NEVER in her office. Nor does she return calls. The third time I boarded my dog I left her a voicemail at 0900. I called back at 1100 and actually spoke to someone at the front desk who said she was standing next to her and that Dominique would call me back shortly. At 1600 (4 pm) I still had not received a call so I called back. Dominique's voicemail said she was gone for the day and to try the front desk for a reservation. No one at the front desk ever answered. To sum it up, this place is irresponsible, undependable, and is NOT recommended. read more

The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because I can't do zero. I boarded two of my fur babies for 13 days. I took them to the vet before we boarded to make sure they were caught up on all their shots and were extremely healthy. The staff was extremely nice at check in but when we went to go pick up our babies, my big baby had an extremely horrible rash all on his back side near his tail, his butt and testicles. The entire area was extremely swollen! When I first asked what happened she said I don't know what you're talking about and then said oh let me call my manager. The manager was rude and unhelpful. She said she called us to inform us, which was not accurate; we never received a phone call. While we were there, the lady at the front said oh yeah, I remember now, Paco does have a rash but it's not that bad. Upon check-in they had said they would take him to the vet if anything happened, they didn't! They were going to let me walk out of there knowing my baby was sick and in pain! We dropped Paco off at 136.8 pounds. His pick up weight was 120.8 pounds! My baby dropped 16 pounds and has an infection! They neglected my son, they didn't feed him properly, nor did they care for him. When we asked how much they fed him, she said they gave him food based on weight -- 2 cups! A 140 pound dog, given only 2 cups a day! Who does that? They also weren't trying to make it right. For $1600, we deserved better. My babies deserved better! I'm disappointed in myself for putting my babies in harms way! The least this place can do is offer to make it right! I WILL NEVER BOARD HERE. If you love your fur babies like I love mine, go somewhere else! read more
