I would suggest going during a week day as weekends get pretty busy here. They seem to be working on improving the games here, which is great! The ski ball machines used to not have many balls, but they seem to be working on restocking these. There is a little gym area and a trampoline area. The bummer is you have to pay extra for these.. even if you have a pass. The pass only gives us a discount. However, the passes are definitely worth it as you get free games every day. They keep the building fairly clean, which I appreciate. I would say, besides the extra cost of the gym area and trampoline, they could improve on the cost of the food. It is incredibly expensive here. One thing that is wonderful at this location, as a parent, is they heavily monitor who enters and leaves the building. As a parent this is a place that we must visit. The games/machines are very entertained for kids. Fortunately the place was empty at the time of our visit. No lines to used the games/machines. The salad bar was great. The employee in charge of keeping the food at the salad bar did a great job. We got the reusable cup to use it "forever". Some employees were very helpful but some were lazy and unfriendly. The mousse for example was not very energetic. The most disgusting thing was the female bathroom. I'm visiting SLC and my daughter wanted to stop by. I'm used to Chuck E Cheese being clean and food ok not the best but definitely not the worst. Well to my surprise this is the only Chuck E. Cheese in town. The service was not up to par, stood in front of the counter for 10 minutes before anyone took my order. Half of the drinks on the fountain machine were out. I got the Stary and in my first sip there's was some kind of debris in it. Looked closer at the machine and it is filthy! The food is below average. Everything at the salad bar is old and just plain gross looking. It's 1p and not many people here (a plus for me). This place definitely needs better management. read more

Most terrible experience I have ever had. Went for a friends daughters birthday party. I ordered just a personal pizza and after waiting for 1 hour ,went and asked where my order was. She told me it would be out soon without even looking into it. I told her I had been waiting for 1 hour, and she just apologized and said it would be a while. I had to ask her to please go back in the kitchen and check at least. To make sure my order was still being made. She walked around the corner to the tickets area, came back with a calculator and a piece of paper. She looked up and saw I was still standing there. Shocked she says.. oh yeah coming. I waited another 30 minutes and had noticed others that arrived after me were getting their food. At that point I went back to the front and requested a refund. I had to wait an additional 20 min in line because 2 other workers were doing ... nothing. Once I finally got to the register, no one had a radio for the manager. So I had to wait at the register for another 10 minutes to get a refund processed. When the manager finally came she questioned my order. I had to tell her yes 3 times that's my order (I gave her the receipt before she started questioning me) Then she gave me 10.00 in cash even though my order was 13.75. So, I didn't even get my money back. After dealing with this for now 2 hours, the party was done. It was time for me to go. All this happened to me, but I also need to mention the parents had also ordered pizza when they arrived, and had to wait an hour for their first 2 pizzas, and the rest trickled through after another 30 minutes. The bathrooms were covered in urine. Tables were not being cleaned, we had to clean our own. They no longer sell tokens, but time cards for fun. 10.00 for 30 min. So while your stuck waiting for your food for an hour and a half, you have to buy more time on cards for the kids to have fun. Which ends up being more expensive than being able to regulate tokens. It's very evident why these are all closing down. Parents don't waste your money here. Go somewhere else, anywhere else. read more

I find myself here in Chuck E Hell again. Finally gave into my 4 year old son's constant begging to come here. Telling him it's closed only works so many times. He did learn all his letters of the alphabet and all, so he earned it. This place is pretty clean. I even saw one person out on the floor cleaning the machines. Yes, it was one teenage kid cleaning for about a hundred kids, but that is still a good sign. The staff here is very helpful and if the machine runs out of tickets or your tickets get jammed up, they will help you promptly. The games all seem pretty new and there are some fun ones. I love getting our portrait drawn on the one machine. Who needs family photos with a professional photographer when you have the Chuck E Cheese portrait booth. Believe it or not, the food is pretty decent here. The pizza is thin and crispy. The wings are not bad. They even have Gluten free pizza and cupcakes as options. There is a well stocked salad bar for those who want to try to be healthy. Here is a tip...sign up online and get lots of coupons. I had a coupon for 100 tokens for $20. Add in another $10 for a small pepperoni pizza and a drink and you have yourself a complete night out for the kids. Chuck E Cheese comes out every hour and does his singing and dancing and then throws out some free tickets. Kids follow him around like the Pied Piper and love every minute of it.. We decided to go last minute for my sons 2 year old birthday! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The PIZZA was so good! Well seasoned crust and the cheese bread was exactly what it should be CHEESY! Lots of fun games to play and lots of space to run around. Their show area was fun too with videos playing in the background. I liked how you could load up a card with either Time or Points. Since my son is only 2 his attention span doesn't always last through an entire game which can get frustrating at arcades but because we did it based on time we were able to have fun knowing we can just walk to the next game if he got distracted. From the moment I walked in the door I was appalled at how dirty this place was. Uneaten food, candy wrappers, and other trash littered the floor everywhere. There were so many people that we could not safely walk from one end of the arcade to the other. That's upper management / corporates fault----not the staff working here. No one did the check in or check out stamp policy which is somewhat sketchy. This was one of several Daddy-Daughters dates here. This place is always fun for the kids. As of July 2017, they have switched from a token system to a card system which has its pros and cons. Pros: You don't have to lug around a cup full of coins that can be easily lost. You can recycle your card, refill it, transfer balances between cards. Cons: It feels like each of the games now require more points to play as opposed to one or two coins. You have two kiosks that you can use, but at times one or both will stop working. You will then have to rely on the sole person at the counter to do the work. And she is not the least enthusiastic to help and moves like a sloth. This time around, I came here on a Friday evening and the place was happening. I had to wait for about 30 minds for the pizza I ordered. That I feel is too long. I would expect service to be quicker. They do manage to keep the place clean for as busy as it gets. One annoyance was the lack of trash cans to deposit your trash. People don't clean off their tables (no where to put it), and the staff don't clean the tables fast enough. Idea: Now that you've gone to a card system, also get away from the ticket system. Those ticket dispensers always jam and don't offer the right number of tickets. At this visit alone, I had to get a helper 5 times to unjam dispensers. Why not put the reward tickets on the card itself at the end of the game? When you're done for the day, scan the card for tickets. All of this can be done digitally and you can save money and trees. And with the savings, pass it down and reduce the number of points required to play each game. Everyone benefits. read more

We go in the mid day on a mid week and this place is usually dead. This can be good or bad. Good because there are 1 or 2 other people in the entire place. Bad because staff kinda doesn't care, the salad bar is late to be put out or refreshed. They keep the place cold. And Chuckie isn't that excited to come out and perform for 4 people including the kids, lol. I love the hand stamping system, great security. Free admission however the food, drinks, and tokens can put you back more then you wanted to spend for lunch. Completely understaffed. We arrived around 8pm. This place was over crowded. There was trash everywhere. No clean tables. I only saw one staff member cleaning. The salad bar was disgusting so we didn't bother ordering food. A ton of the machines were out of order. Others didn't give us our tickets. In the half hour that we were there, my child won 135 tickets and that got him a plastic shoe string and a dinosaur the size of a quarter. We go to arcades all the time and can get so much more for that. We only came here because we were on vacation and looking for something for the kids that was opened that late. I have been to this location a lot of times so I decided to write a review. This is a great location, it is often clean, and the staff are really friendly. The kids love it when they go there. The place is well kept with the amount of kids that go in and out of that place, they really do a good job! The pizza that we often order is always good, as good as Chuck E Cheese's pizza gets. Now don't be thinking it is gourmet Pizza, because it is not, but it is pretty good for Chuck E Cheese's pizza. Despite my decades long dismay over the mouse beating out Showbiz for the "where a kid can be a kid" jingle as well as inferior experiences at other locations, I finally spent some time at this location and...you know what, they did a good job. Sure, they're mostly all younger kids, but a lot of them take the gig seriously and really want the kids to have fun and I appreciate that action. Pizza is a total miss, the sauce over-sweetened to a sugar overload, naturally, I suppose, but we've all had worse and you're not coming here for a good pie...unless you're insane, that is...or a kid. Same with the chocolate birthday cake, which is to me much closer to the junk that they use to make Ding-Dongs and other Hostess treats, but hey, the kids. Speaking of which, one area that did need a lot more attention was the male bathroom, which smelled strongly as if the receptacles had been forsaken and they'd simply decided to paint the place in urine, which may not be too far off, because, kids and all. Lots was to the good. Aside from that bathroom, place was mostly clean. The animatronic mouse worked fine. The staging to the video from the hostess was kind of entertaining and they didn't pay the dude enough to make all those faces on video. I didn't see a lot of non-working games, video or otherwise, which is pretty awesome and the junkImean prize counter had some mostly reasonable variety, I guess, with the dude not playing things too fast and hard on the ticket points. A visit to Chuck E. Cheese is a bit like a religious experience. There's shameless idol worship, children speaking in tongues, a healthy amount of singing and crying, and you will find yourself faced with the ultimate question: "why am I here?" In spite of "free admission," a trip here can be dang expensive. After pizza, wings, two sodas and a modest amount of tokens we came away $40 the poorer. The food isn't the worst I've ever had, but it's definitely what you'd expect; perhaps a single slim notch better than your grocer's freezer case. The "games" are mostly absurd. Think of those rides outside the grocery store, then slap a zany mid-90's skater mouse on it and you get the general idea. Ride a train. Ride a helicopter. Ride a racecar etc. The downside here is mostly the noise. Dear lord this place is loud. Dozens of machines all screaming out for your precious tokens, each more obnoxious and shrill than the last. The skiball and basketball were pretty fun though. Finally, you can have your birthday here. There's a big stage and tons of cafeteria-style seating for your 50 best ankle-biting friends. The mouse himself (I suspect it's an employee in costume, but who knows?) appears, alongside a handler, and a pre-scripted video plays while the mouse dances around and pretends that he's talking to you. It's a little creepy. They play the music to the happy birthday song and sing, but when they get to the "happy birthday dear so and so" part, they just have dead silence where the name goes. It feels kinda insulting and cheap to me. Like they should at least put the kids name up on the big screen so they can feel special. They also keep trying to pump up the crowd with "I can't hear you!" shenanigans which always pissed me off as a kid. It's a little sad watching a half-hundred slack-jawed cabbages trying to get their enthusiasm whipped into overdrive by doughy teenager in a polyester polo-shirt and a perpetually grinning rodent. read more
