We stopped by here for dinner while in the area. Nice restaurant with great service! The restaurant itself gives you old school vibes and is very welcoming. The menu has many options to choose from. Our waitress was fantastic! She had a great personality and really made us feel right at home. I ordered the wings half southern dry rub and the other half garlic parmesan. Excellent food! Who makes their own croutons anymore? It definitely helped the salad. Homemade dressing too. NY strip sreak was cooked perfectly. Ordered some truffle fries - enough for 3 people (I hate to waste food like that so wish I could hqve ordered a small portion). Decent beer on tap too. My three sisters and I just had a great dinner! The food was excellent - served on warmed plates. The service was very good as well. We sat outside, which needs some sprucing up. I was visiting family in the area and was looking for a good place for us to have dinner. My son suggested Boondocks. The choice did not disappoint. We enjoyed an order of firelogs. The peppers were spicy and deliciously stuffed, wrapped in bacon and served piping hot. Wow! I loved this appetizer! My son enjoyed surf and turf while I enjoyed grilled swordfish. My fish was perfectly cooked and served with a caper butter. His meal was just as tasty. We shared my truffle fries. The serving was huge and they were yummy. We will definitely be back! read more

Our family stopped here on our way back from Knoebels for some dinner. Nice, clean place with decent music playing. We ordered two dishes times two for the four of us, the Garden Salad with added grilled chicken and the special blackened chicken with Alfredo pasta. The salads we very good, the grilled chicken was tasty, croutons were fresh. The chicken Alfredo was very good. We could have eaten a little more but it was adequate. read more

I called to ask about specials looking to investigate what's the menu was like. Michael the new proprietor answered the phone. Michael said today is Burger Tuesday. Michael described the house special burger. OMG goat cheese, roasted butternut squash, garlic aioli and arugula. Delicious! Yes this is what I ordered. Then Michael told us about the drink special, a martini flight. Three mini martini glasses hanging on a little tree. Salted Carmel, Apple Cider and a third one that was equally delicious. The food is well prepared and well thought out. I highly recommend. Drinks are delicious The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All very sweet. While ordering delivery has become a norm in our lives, dining in was a treat. Michael stopped by our table and chatted with us. What a nice guy. I loved this meal and experience. Spent an extended weekend in the area and came across this place to eat. The service was great. The food was even better. The Manhattan Crab soup was good. It just needed a dash more salt and pepper. The firelogs, something I've never had before, were really good. Their cheeseburgers were even better. Alcohol beverages were priced very fairly. I'll be back. The owner and staff was very nice. The Boonburger was great. The burger was a bit much for the bun but overall good taste. The crab cake was all crab and had a great taste. we sat outside under the trees by the creek, which made pretty sounds. Our server was very attentive, but not intrusive. For the first time in 20 years, I ordered a burger and the owner came out to make sure that I really did want it cooked really rare and he was so attentive to my preference that I was very impressed. Everyone was very friendly. My burger was cooked to perfection. My friend and I commented on the fact that we were glad that the place we had originally intended to go to was closed, and we will definitely visit again. read more

First time at the Boondocks and I have to say, it exceeded mine and my wife's expectations! Upon walking in, the staff was very friendly and the owner himself was even helping out in the front of the house! We were seated right away and as we entered, the atmosphere was very nice! Bright and elegant but not super classy. My wife and I both got burgers and I also got a bowl of the French Onion soup. I had never had the soup before but I would definitely say it was very tasty. The burgers (Tuesday is burger night btw) were appealing to the eye and tasted just a good! The waitress was very nice, personable and even gave suggestions to help us choose when ordering. Overall, I would definitely recommend Boondocks. An establishment that takes pride in their food and what they do and are looking to build their new restaurant up! read more
