They have a lot of rules, and the rules are not posted nor published anywhere, and they are rude to you when you don't know a rule. To be ADA compliant with so many special and specific rules, the rules should be posted in the restaurant, on the website, etc. For example, the waiters are slammed, and you are not allowed to walk and get a beer from any other bar on the property in between visits of the waiter. read more

My friends and I came in with a party of 20 people eating and drinking upwards of $1000 of drinks and food at the restaurant. We were told by the "shift manager" that she would not serve our group anymore because she did not like what we were talking about at our table, whatever that was,, eavesdropping on our private conversations... which was something like, making jokes and having fun. She was then backed up by the manger and told us we were not welcome while 3 of our parties were tabbed out and the other three we're waiting for their tab... yes we we're leaving like a normal dinning experience with friends. This was completely weird, completely unwelcoming, and a complete break down of a society on woke weird ass agenda. Just a strange-ass experience. Had high hopes as this place had been recommended by several people here in Boone. The beer was mediocre at best and were fairly weak with low ABVs. The Dunkelweiss was weak, and tasted closer to a saison. The stouts were very weak and had little taste, other than the coffee stout which tasted like stale coffee. The service was great, and we didn't eat so I can't speak to the quality of the food. Nice atmosphere too. read more

We've been in Boone for two nights and came to Booneshine both nights! First night they lost power but we did get to sample the beer and that was worth a trip back. Dinner was fabulous! The tasting room is actually in the Italian restaurant next door to the brewery, which is located in a storefront of a strip mall. There is a bar, which is at one end of the restaurant, which had very simple seating, like the eating area of a fast food restaurant. The bartender was very attentive, and I had a seasonal pumpkin beer, which I don't usually like, but this one was pretty good with nicely balanced flavors. If beer is the most important criteria for you in a brewery, the beer was pretty good. If you are looking for a brew pub atmosphere, this isn't it. With so many craft breweries in the area, I probably not come back. read more

Being out of town, we decided to make a pitstop here to check it out. It's a cute place. We ordered a flight to share and man oh man, they have some great beers here. We also ordered a flatbread, it took a little bit to come out but it tasted pretty good! I'm used to a little more interaction from bar tenders at brewery's cause I usually have a lot of questions, but the waitresses were in their own world and didn't have much conversation with me. I would give an xtra " star" if I could. We were here dec 15th 2020. What an attentive young staff. I came in first to see that all cdc guidelines were in place and being followed for our safety and theirs as well. Indeed they were, scan code for tasting room menu, an additional precaution, very good idea. My husband had a stroke over a year ago and needs alittle extra consideration. Young women that greeted me at the door ( wish I could remember her name) was warm and very accommodating. Dillon our server was just wonderful as well. Overall vibe , energy, whatever you choose to call it was just right from beginning to end. That's not an easy thing to achieve these days as we all know. I am writing this in hopes that people will continue to support this brewery and staff, they have only been open about a year, we can imagine the challenges they are having. We loved the " Palette Painter" mosaic ipa and also tried and bought the " Golden hour" double ipa. Food was outstanding also! We recently moved closer to this area from the Asheville area , been to quite a few breweries, tried even more craft brews . Booneshine is right up there with Sierra Nevada in my opinion as far as quality of beer and food . I like that it is smaller and local, so It takes the number one spot for me now. Staff deserves recognition. Please help keep them open / supported during this pandemic. If we lived alittle closer I would be doing take out food / beer here. If everyone follows safety guidelines, they can stay open and we will definitely be back! There is outdoor seating with a roaring warm fire pit as well as a good sized indoor tasting room. The new Booneshine location is awesome! Visiting from Boston and have been to Treehouse, Trillium, and others in New England. Trust me, this is ABSOLUTELY on the same level. They have done an amazing job. Great beers, promoting local, excellent outdoor space, friendly and accommodating service, and the food is out of this world. There is a beer here for all - ambers, IPAs, Porter. And the food will please all. Family and dog friendly under the patio timber frame. We came last night and had to come back tonight. well the last place and 3 reviews once again. The beer was outstanding , i will say that. Nothing wrong there really really good beer. 2nd the food, good but way over priced for the amount you get. Expect to spend a lot if your hungry. 3 The service- not much better than lost but still better , lots of confusion but at least nice and not rude or hateful. Just seem to need to be trained better or have more experince. Between the 3 here i would say its not as good as App brewery but a lot better than lost province . read more

Avoid during Covid. We took out of town friends there this week and it was a disaster. The two girls at the front desk were overwhelmed and didn't have a clear plan how to handle customers. Put a large chalkboard at the entry with a list of your current beers. Have your customers chose a table on the lawn AND have servers serve! We ended up going to other pubs that had a better plan how to stay open during C19. read more

Our baseball team had the absolute worst experience here. 45 foot bar was empty and we had the kids at adjacent table and we were told we couldn't "stand" near the kids. What?! Stopped by here after dinner with friends. I and my wife sat down for a flight, some wine and desert. Server was friendly and we sat down and ordered almost immediately. Good food, nice atmosphere and manager on duty was very kind. Not a fan of leaving bad reviews but feel compelled based on experience last night with the hostess-Katy. She shouldn't be client facing... sour disposition and tone and disrespectful to our party of four. First time feeling discriminated against and not sure why. We sat up in the loft and were refused service for drinks and food in that area in addition to being told we couldn't move to a table when we wanted to order food because she said the loft was being shut down when it was only 7:20 and two other tables had just sat down. Instead of kindly explaining their rules, and recommending an alternative solution so we could eat after buying several beers, we left. That was additional revenue for 4 people that was lost by her lack of customer service skills. Service like this at the front of the house will cause problems for this great brewery. read more

I have to believe there is usually a better system to get a beer, but we had to wait in a line for a hostess/cashier, then stand around to get the beer. This is not your typical brewery on the outside. The atmosphere is more like just a regular restaurant, could be more hipster if you asked me, but that's ok. You win some, you lose some. The customer service was exceptional. I tried a flight with one of each beer and they have some pretty interesting flavors. I am not sure how long this place has been around, but I have a feeling it may get better with time. They have an extensive food menu for a brewery. You can basically y have dinner there too which is cool. I had an appetizer that was ok. The beer cheese dip was slightly watery tasting, which was sad. I think if they did some work, maybe spice it up just a bit, it would be a lot better. Indoor and outdoor seating is a plus! read more
