Due to COVID precautions, staff are unable to touch customers' phones, so I'll sort out the SIM card thing later tonight. I like the strict COVID precautions and it is good to see the staff adhering to them. Clavell gave me a sheet that explains how to set up my new phone. Easy access to this location, right off Mannheim and the Ike. Free parking. Quarantine hours are slightly restricted, but they are open to 6:00 pm today, so I was very happy to get in and score a new phone today. Great staff. Very clean store.

I do not enjoy spending money on phones, so I did some extensive research online prior to making my purchase. This included seeing what att had to offer me. I had iPhones for quite a few years, but I was definitely not willing to spend upwards of $400 plus just so most of the downloads and upgrades would be unavailable in a year. Thus, I purchased the Motorola Play G6. Of course, my local Lagrange att store didn't have it in stock so I had to make do and head out to Oak Park since I needed an actual phone for my work shift. I was easily able to make the purchase online. Upon my 30 minute commute in rush hour traffic I arrived and the Security guy graciously asked what my name was and how he could help. About 5 minutes later the store associate came to assist. She was knowledgeable, professional, and actually down to earth. We even discussed the upcoming Bears game that was scheduled that evening. Now the only reason one star is knocked off is because she didn't set the phone up for me. In her defense, she did say she would do it if I had some time, but she was also quick to note that instructions to do so myself are available online. I thought I would let her get back to her commissions so I departed. The wonderful security guy held open the door for me as I left. I'm unsure if people actually enjoy going to att stores, as I just associate it with harassment and high prices. However, this experience in Oak Park was definitely positive.
