I went to this place trying to get my computer diagnosed and repaired in July last year. The person…read moretold me very confidently that it was the issue of the fan, and the only thing needed was to replace it. Also, they promised a date when the fan would be available, and I believed it. However, when the day came, they said they would need another few days. Using the computer was very important to me, so I got annoyed and switched to another place. At the new place, I was told the issue with my computer was because of a completely different reason, and they helped me repair it smoothly. Glad that the delay helped me avoid further loss with this unreliable KY electronics. Unfortunately, although the diagnosis result was a complete error. I was not refunded for the diagnosis fee. Edit: The business owner replied saying that my job was on May 29, 2024, which is completely false. I wasn't even at the Bay Area during that time. Either he intentionally mixed me up with someone else or simply made up the story. Apparently, I have no point of making up a negative review if being satisfied as the customer, but the business owner has full motivation to respond to negative reviews by making up stories when he cannot reasonably dispute it, and it seems he has been doing it for many other reviews as well.

When I dropped off the phone, they said they would call me for update 1-2 days later. I didn't receive any calls, so I called them and they didn't even work on it yet. 4 days later, I called again. They said they found the issue and would try to fix it. They specifically said they would call me back to let me know if they could fix the phone or I would need to replace the parts. Almost 2 weeks from the day I dropped it off, no calls at all. I called them and the staff there said I was supposed to call them and blamed everything on me. Before bringing my phone here, I called and asked for price. After 2 WEEKS of inspection, they gave me whole different price. They were unable to fix the phone at all and want to overcharge me to replace the part. It was a total waste of time and money. I paid $40 just to have it inspected and nothing was fixed. Staff was unfriendly and lied to customer. Make sure to have them write down the price when you drop off your phone or don't come here at all.

I brought my iPhone 14 Pro Max (256GB) to Talk N' Fix at the Great Mall in Milpitas on July 2, 2025 for a back glass replacement. I paid $130 and thought everything was fine. Then, on July 11, my phone started shutting off every 1-2 minutes and dropping calls -- something it never did before. I brought it back, and the man who originally worked on my phone said he was "too busy" and sent me to another tech. That tech said he would diagnose it, but all he did was force restart the phone and tell me to leave. When I mentioned the issue started after the repair, he got defensive, told me "don't say that," and blamed me for supposedly damaging the phone again. I later returned to speak with the boss, who told me to come back in 3 days. When I did, the same technician opened the phone and replaced the battery. He said if it was a motherboard issue, they'd have to send it out and charge me extra -- which made me uncomfortable since they were already denying fault. After replacing the battery, he tried to charge me $29, saying the battery was the problem. I refused to pay since the phone worked fine before they touched it. He eventually let it go -- but then asked me to leave four 5-star reviews just because I had family with me. I declined. The phone worked for 12 hours, then the issue came back -- shutting off every 2 minutes again. I texted them for help, and they ignored me. I took the phone to uBreakiFix in Santa Clara, where a real tech diagnosed motherboard damage -- a common issue from poor laser back glass repairs. They tried a new battery and charging port, but the phone still kept shutting off. The verdict: Talk N' Fix likely damaged my motherboard, and now I have to buy a new phone. I told him it was fine since I had to leave town the next day and won't be back until Monday night so if it was okay to do it on Tuesday. He said sure and that he will contact me the following week. I didn't receive any call on Monday so Tuesday morning I gave him a call to see when I should bring my phone in to get it fix. The call went to voicemail so I left him a message to call me back. Couple hours later no call back. I had a bad feeling so I gave him another call later in the day telling him to just let me know if he can do it or not, so that I can start looking at other shops to do the fix. Over a day later and still no response. When I called him the previous week he had always picked up my call so it seems like he was purposely screening my calls the following week. Dude, if you can do the job let you client know so we don't waste each other's time. Looking at the other 1 start review it seems like if something goes wrong he will not answer your calls so be careful with this guy.
