Don't go to the Apple store when your older iPhone has a problem. I've never received helpful or affordable solutions from Apple. Mostly the recommendation to buy a new phone. I recently took our iPhone 6 to IFixers for a problem with the touch screen and a gps issue. Both repaired for under $100 ea. Worth it! The only hassle is not knowing when the phone is ready to be picked up if you don't have a phone you can be reached at. The person who runs this business is like a real friend and treats you like one. I didn't get the name of who helped me out but she was remarkably honest and real. I called to see if they could unlock my iPhone 5 to tmobile from verizon before heading over there and she was like, "well, you can't really do that." I'm all like.."aw poop. so I'm out of luck?" and she's like "oh no, I mean all you have to do is just put the sim card into the iPhone and you're fine. A lot of people will try and scam you but yeah, it literally doesn't take any real work for it to do. But if you're needing to cut the sim card into a smaller piece to fit the iPhone, then come by and we can do that for you." NO Freaking way. I'm like.."dude you rock. i love you. I'm coming right meow." within 3 mins of being in this place, my former verizon iPhone 5 was now running perfectly on my tmobile network and she did it FOR FREE. Thank God for places like iFixers iPhone repair to clean up my mess after a crazy drunken night. I've put my iphone 3GS through hell and back. Once it ended up swimming in the toilet and this past weekend, I dropped it one too many times and cracked the screen. The phone still worked fine, but who wants to look at a cracked screen!? The first time I went there 11 months ago I asked them how much to transfer my data to a new IPAD. They quoted $125. I ended up firing up my new IPAD. So I paid about 75 dollars in January (3 months ago) for a battery replacement for my iPhone 6. This was probably one of the worst decisions I have made spending wise. I never exposed my phone to water nor overcharged it, and here I am having the same problem since the day I brought it in. I was having problems where my phone kept powering off unless it wasn't connected to a power source. So I got it fixed on the day I came in, and noticed yesterday that my battery was loose, you could feel it once you start shaking my phone. I called them and some guy told me he would still have to charge me for the same price to replace my battery AGAIN because my warranty was overdue. So I thought about it, "Hmmm, if I were to get my phone battery replaced again, then I'd have to go back to these guys again after 3 months to replace my so called "new battery." Sounds definitely like a scam to milk out your wallet lol. So instead of going back to these guys, I went to Cupertino iPhone Repair and they fixed my battery for 39 bucks! (They also replaced my battery in 15 minutes!) The guy who helped me also gave me the battery that was placed by iFixers, and he noticed that the battery was totally dead and also super burnt out. Also noticed how my screen was uneven when iFixers placed my iPhone screen back on (PLUS THERE IS A SMALL DAMAGE ON THE AREA THEY HAD TO USE THE TOOL TO LIFT THE SCREEN). I don't think that I could get a refund from iFixers since my warranty is not valid anymore. I hope you guys don't make the same mistake I did! My boyfriend's iPhone 6s has several cracks in the screen, water got in, all screen functionality (keyboard, buttons, etc) cease to exist. We took it to the Apple Store, where they told us it was beyond repair and all data was lost. We took it to Cupertino iphone repair, where they worked on it for 1.5 hrs and broke the home-touch button. Finally we tried this place on a last ditch effort. Dropped off the phone about 30min before closing. The guy fixing the phone was super nice, and stayed overtime to completely fix the iPhone (even after closing). I think you can finally start believing in miracles once you've had to go through iFixers. Came in with a super water damaged iphone 5...and I was really praying that Alma could fix it. Okay first things first, the young dude that runs that location is a very nice young man, super professional and very thorough. BUT, iFixers is not an Apple-approved vendor, meaning the screens they are using to replace your cracked screen are "knock-off" which can and will ruin your phone. This is the reason I'm writing this, I went to get my screen replaced last week, it was 175 bucks after-tax, worked perfectly when I got it back, I thought everything was good, that was until I woke up the next morning to a flashing green screen when I tried to use it, so I took it back, he fixed it again but this time he gave me my phone back and it said "iPhone disabled, connect to iTunes to use" First things first, why was this time different than last time? Second, who the hell uses Itunes anymore... Long story short, I took it home tried to connect it to my roommate's computer and it wouldn't even register, so I had to take it back AGAIN to have him completely wipe all the data off my phone. It works again, this time for 4 days, and guess what happened on the 5th day, BAM flashing green screen again. I would not recommend going here for screen replacement unless you don't have insurance but even then BEWARE. P.s. I never dropped the phone after he had fixed the screen so this was not self-inflicted, this is the result of faulty screens being used to replace the existing screen. read more

First and foremost you must know about the location of iFixers. I made the mistake of taking my phone to MacPro, a similar business one building over [DO NOT GO THERE, THEY ARE HORRIBLE!!] iFixers is tucked between several businesses in a large brown building. There are no large signs visible from Steven's Creek; only a small sign on their door... so do not expect to drive by and easily find it. I recommend parking on the street or the parking lot behind the brown building and then walk around the front until you find it. It is a very very small shop, but it is a hidden gem! Alma seems to be the main employee here. She said she works 6 days a week. She is down-to-earth and honest. Her knowledge and skill for iPhones is obvious. A week ago, I accidentally got something lodged into the headphone jack of my iPhone 5S. I did everything I could to get it out: screws, needles, pins, even screwdrivers! It eventually fell out, but I severely damaged my headphone jack in the process. I thought I could be slick, save money and repair it myself by purchasing the $10 part and $10 tools on Amazon. Through watching some YouTube videos I presumed myself an expert and attempted to repair it myself. The entire charging port needed to be replaced. The charging port includes the headphone, the loud speaker, the charger and home button. However, I eventually realized during my installation that I had purchased the charging port for the iPhone 5. So I re-installed my old charging port with no problem. A few days later I received the correct iPhone 5S charging port from Amazon and once again I attempted to install it. After multiple attempts to install the charging port I could not seem to get my phone to turn on. I figured I had somehow damaged the cables to the LCD screen. After about my 6th attempt I tried plugging the phone into the charger. OF COURSE it turned on! If I had only known sooner!!! However......... I quickly realized that my loud speaker, headphones and home button were not working. :-( I was so disappointed! Not only had I installed it incorrectly somehow, but I had damaged the cable connected to my home button. So even by reinstalling my original charging port... I was left with no functional home button. At this point I was tired and frustrated and decided to FINALLY suck it up and take it somewhere to get repaired. I drove around and couldn't find iFixers and assumed I was confusing it with MacPro... without going into too much detail let's just say I'm surprised they are still in business. They told me my phone would be ready that day... I leave for vacation in 2 days, so I really needed it fixed ASAP. Additionally, my iPhone is also my business phone and being that I was leaving I desperately needed my phone for work. I arrived as soon as they opened and they told me that they would diagnose it, call me and I could pick it up later that day. They close at 6pm. At 5pm I called them, concerned... had they figured it out yet? I knew myself that installing a charging port takes no more than 15 minutes. How could it take all day?? I was furious. At this point I realize [by checking Yelp again] that I had taken it to the wrong place!! The next morning I returned to MacPro and requested my phone back. I took it straight to Alma at iFixers. I told her everything that happened and she quickly told me what she assumed to be wrong. She already had a couple phones she was working on that day, but she told me I would have my phone back within a few hours. I gave her my phone at 11am and it was ready by 3pm! She installed a new charging port and a new home button. I have a white iPhone and she was out of white home buttons so she had installed a black home button instead. She told me when she gets the shipment in she would reinstall a white home button at no additional charge. Sweet!! My phone works perfectly now and I can go on vacation content. THANK YOU ALMA FOR FIXING MY MESS!! I recommend iFixers to EVERYONE!! Don't make the mistake I did and think you can fix it yourself from a YouTube video. It's not worth it. And don't the make the mistake of taking it to MacPro. iFixer's prices are very reasonable. One of the few places opened on a Sunday, kudos! They were able to diagnose my boyfriend's iPhone but we were unable to get anything fixed as they didn't have any new batteries for the iPhone. (They charge $49. Cupertino iPhone repair charges $60 when I got a friend's fixed a couple months ago but now charges $65.) We were told the diagosis would be free, but what they failed to inform us is that it's only free IF you choose to let them fix it. Since he had to fly back to San Diego that day, we had to pay $10. Not that I mind, but it would've been more professional had we known about this fee ahead of time. Regardless, it was a blessing in disguise as they only charge $25 for a new battery in SD.
