As soon as I walked in, I was honestly overwhelmed by how many suits they had. I walked around for a bit trying to find someone to help me, but either the associates were busy with other customers or didn't acknowledge me. Eventually, I approached one associate, and after explaining what I was looking for, he was very helpful. He found my size, the color I wanted, and was informative throughout the process. I was also happy to find out they had a special. It was actually cheaper to buy the full suit than just the jacket alone. So I ended up getting a full suit for the price I originally planned to spend on just a jacket. The issue came with alterations. Since they offer tailoring services, I asked the associate to have the suit tailored to a slim fit. He told me the jacket was fine as is, and that only the pants needed hemming. I trusted his judgment since I'm not too familiar with how suits are supposed to fit. A week later, I picked up the suit, and I wasn't thrilled with how it looked. After trying it on again, I noticed the jacket felt too big. A different associate helped me this time and agreed it needed further tailoring. I had to pay an additional $56 to get it adjusted properly. Overall, K&G is a great place to find a suit at an affordable price, but be cautious with tailoring. Don't be afraid to speak up or ask for a second opinion to make sure you're getting the fit you really want.

It even has a bar area, where you can get a local draft beer, wine, coffee, or espresso. It's definitely high-end (even the on sale items could run you hundreds of dollars - for a dress, say), but it's really high quality and well worth a visit if you're shopping for something nice!

Bottom line: I think the quality of these places are not what they used to be. Walked in on Saturday afternoon, and literally stood there thinking someone would approach me. No one did. Now, I'm not going to lie, it was pretty busy, but I don't think that excuses the lack of attention to your customers. I almost left. The lady who eventually approached us was minimally helpful (and not nearly dressed like someone working at a men's clothing store, if you get my drift). I had to ASK for my measurements to be taken - she had a disappointing "well if you don't see your size we don't have it" attitude. She was obviously more concerned with hanging out at the counter with her co-workers. And this store succeeded in one thing. I didn't think I could have a worse experience than I had the first time I wondered into one, but really this one is the worst. Here's some context. MY SON is getting married. I decided that due to the occasion I should add somthing new to the wardrobe. It's a very special occasion. I tried a bespoke tailor but really not enough time. So now I go into this Jos A Bank on a Wednesday. My first instinct when a young man came to measure me was to run away, as he didn't make me confident that he was getting the correct measurements. But I allowed him to continue. Saturday comes around and I get the message to return and pick up my new suit. I return to the store to find my suit had some oily spots on it. I bring it to the attention of one employee and they ask me if I will have time to run it to the cleaners before the wedding. I politely said no honey, I will not accept the $700 suit with oil. I was then asked to return after a couple hours to pick it up again. A couple hours goes by and I return for the 3rd time to get my suit. I am told it's all cleaned up, and so I take it and I also purchase two more ties and an overcoat. I return home and take my suit to my closet to prep it for the wedding. I see many more oily spots, even larger than the first few I saw in the store. Now I have to return to the store for the 4th time during rush hour, with my brand new suit with oil spots. 1 hour of traffic later I get back to the store for the 4th time with the suit. I show the manager and he informs me that there are two options. He can have it cleaned, or take measurements and have a second suit made. It's Saturday and express that im feeling anxious about everything as I need the suit to be ready to fly on Tuesday. I'm assured everything can be ready before. Remember I said fly on Tuesday for the 5th time. Monday rolls around and I call the store, I haven't heard anything. I've had no updates, no reassurance. I leave a message to return the call at my office as I did not have my cell on this day. Hours and no return call. I call again. I get told "the manager is still out, I'm sorry". I ask for someone to call him and ask him to call me. Finally I get a call and I'm told "I called and left a message on your cell". Now I'm getting pissed and worried. I finally get the update: Your suit will be ready to pick tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9am. At this time I needed to be at work before the airport at 11:30. I always communicated and over communicated my schedule and flights and when I needed this suit by. I was guaranteed the whole way through. I had guarantees all the way until it was too late to even find a replacement suit off of the rack. I fly tomorrow and this store had over a week to fix this situation. I'll wear and old suit to my sons wedding day and didn't even get an apology. It's very odd and strange for a store to sell $1000 in merchandise amd them treat customers this way. I ultimately returned everything and will swear to god I will never return to Jos A Bank again. When I returned everything I didn't even get a "hey we are sorry", it was very informal and it even had a guilty feel to it, like I should have not returned what I purchased for $1,000 after all of the failures. If I could give less than 1 star I would. This place ruined a special day and gave no consideration to it being their fault.
