Ordered a casket spray for my aunts funeral. I was a florist…read moremany, many years ago and recall being taught to use all the flowers that were on their way out (dying) for funeral arrangements because the flowers only have to last the 1-2 days after the arrangement is made. Funeral arrangements cost a LOT of money. Due to knowing that, I always send plants with flowers in them or vase arrangements. When your booking the funeral and you need certain pieces, there is know avoiding getting what you get and hoping the flowers are not wilting. Bedford Florist was great! See below pic for yourself. Lily's were in full bloom. Since it's for a funeral, that's okay and my preference since I was not taking it home to enjoy. Note, I did pay $420 for the casket spray...which is why there are roses, stargazer lilies and orchids. If you want to spend less, it is doable there. We spent…read morea lot of time checking out the variety of letter-pressers in the Boston metro area, and there are so many amazing folks making beautiful invitations. For us, it came down to another breathtakingly good press and Jenni at Pigweed. We chose Jenni because she seemed easy to work with - responsive and sweet - and she's obviously very, very talented. The save the date card process was absolutely painless- Jenni seemed to intuitively get what we wanted and we *adored* what she produced. The wedding invitation process wasn't quite as painless - we went back and forth for some time about what we wanted (for the save the date process, we told her our vision for our wedding, and she came up with a great design; for the invitation, she seemed more at a loss and we ended up directing the design process a little bit more than I would have liked), but eventually, we did get it - and we were happy with the design, and the invitations came out beautifully, and we loved them. And the price was reasonable, especially compared to other letterpressers in town. That said, the hardest thing about working with Jenni is that she can, at times, vanish (Cior O. seems to share these concerns). There was a period of a few weeks when she just became unreachable, and we started to have a mild melt-down thinking that maybe she had *actually* vanished. She did surface after about a few weeks or so, but this was after at least five or six emails and a few phone calls that went to her voice mail, and this definitely added some stress to the whole getting-ready-to-get-married thing. The worst part was that she only kind of acknowledged that this wasn't super professional (she ended up giving us 40 beautiful free thank you cards). I would have preferred if she had just said to us "Look, I'm sorry. I dropped the ball." It made me think that her heart isn't in the whole letterpress thing (and, at least when we got married, Jenni had other work - a web design business- the letterpress thing was really a side gig for her), or maybe her heart isn't in the customer service portion of her business. All of this to say: Jenni is sweet and very talented; if you do end up working with her, I'd suggest making a very clear timeline with her so that you get what you need in a totally stress-free way.
