While this was a very pretty bouquet, it did not last very long compared to the several others we received. I think the roses were near the end of their life...and to be honest, an arrangement sent as a sympathy offering shouldn't die a week after receiving. But the colors were beautiful and of course I do not know what the sender actually chose, or how much they paid, but this would have been more stars if it had lasted another week or so. We actually did change the water, but we didn't recut the stems...maybe that's the secret. It certainly brightened our spirits and so 4 stars it is!! I have to write about this because I purposely picked a local florist and spent quality time picking out the flowers. I didn't order from an online company because I didn't want to take the chance of the arrangement being different. Well, that's exactly what happened! I've been sick over this and I only hope my complaint reaches out to others that are thinking of using this florist. I called to let them know how disappointed I was and the woman didn't want to hear it at all! She was quite rude and didn't want to deal with an unsatisfied guest. About a month ago I had ordered a silk flower arrangement from another florist. When I walked in to pick it up, they had sold it- because they had made it FRESH! When I went to leave, I saw the sign "classic flowers" and in a panic went in and told them exactly what happened with the other florist, and asked if they could help. They said yes! So here is what I ordered: -Silk white calla Lillie's with a little bit of greens. -Cinderblock square shaped centerpiece -A pretty pink bow - For the glass centerpiece to be filled with pink marbles - which I had dropped off. - i asked for the bow to match the colored marbles. I was assured by the man I ordered with that he would do his best to get it by Friday, worst case would be Monday morning at 9. This arrangement was for my best friend who just had her baby- and named her Calla Lilly. The vision I had for this arrangement was very sentimental! I come in on the weekend - it's not possible to pick up. Ok no prob. The callas were ordered and in but the centerpiece was not put together. I asked to see the flowers- and they're not white- they're pink and white! I had waited so long for this - and paid 55$ UP FRONT that I figured I would trust the florist, thinking that things don't always look great until it's all finished. I was wrong I go in Monday morning. Powers out from the storm! She didn't have hot glue. But my pick up was supposed to be 9am- so what happened over the weekend when you had power? I felt so bad because she looked like she was in panic mode over all her flowers dying and was complaining about not knowing what to do about her shop. I didn't want to complain because I'm a small business owner too- so I chose to be sympathetic and kind. I get a call Tuesday to come pick it up.. and I was irate. It was really hard to smile and just walk out of the store. I could've put this together myself. None of the pinks match. And there was no pretty bow on the vase! I had to ask for one. And it didn't match!! What is this light pink along the inside of the centerpiece? It's hiding the marbles!!! This is NOT worth 55 dollars. I was embarrassed to give this to my best friend. In my honest opinion, it does not matter if you are a straight man, or a gay man, or even a woman, if you know nothing about flowers, then you know nothing about buying flowers. I know nothing about flowers... I know roses might send a more serious than I wanted message, and I know that some stuff makes me sneeze. Going into the shop, I knew I needed something that would send the kind of romantic message as I was waiting at the airport, because i missed a certain someone thats kind of, sort of, special (not short bus special). The lady working today, helped me out, I told her i needed a bouquet thingy, and nothing too big, something simple, but pretty. She simply asked how much i wanted to spend. I told her, and she went on her way, making the rounds pulling out flowers from the different fridges. It took her all of maybe 5 minutes to whip up a very nice mix bouquet that was much larger than I expected for the amount i specified. The only thing I need to say is their customer service is very poor! There is one lady there that is so unhelpful she so rude I'm a returning customer when asking to check on my order she couldn't find it even when I placed them in advance! I ordered Valentine day Flowers from Classic Flower's website. The website showed a picture of the bouquet I selected and stated the bouquet I would receive would be "as Shown". When it arrived it was probably only about a third the size and count of the flowers in the displayed picture. I immediately got on the phone to complain to the owner. The woman that answered the phone told me the owner was not there and the person I was speaking to would not handle the complaint. She took my name and number and told me the owner would call me. It's been two days now and no call so far. The only thing good so far is that the flowers were delivered on the correct day. Or perhaps the best part is that I did not pay a lot more money by ordering the deluxe or premium version of the bouquet. read more

Valentines day plan: Step 1. Plan a week ahead, choose a beautiful bouquet, compose a romantic message, verify that she will be at work on valentine's day and triple check the address. Make sure it will be a wonderful surprise when it is hand delivered to her desk. Step 2. Order from Classic Flowers in Chelmsford after verifying they deliver to Billerica. Step 3. Have florist's driver get lost. Have driver call recipient at lunchtime. Get voicemail. Don't bother calling the person who placed the order. Step 4. Girlfriend gets to call driver back (surprise!). Give driver directions to building. Have driver say he will be there in a few hours then later decide it is too much hassle to drive back. Step 5. Have owner of Classic Flowers leave me a voicemail shortly before 4pm saying they don't deliver to Burlington (building is still Billerica). Step 6. Check the town of Billerica tax maps in case I was actually stupid. Nope. Building is still in Billerica. Verify delivery instructions on receipt. Address is correct. Step 7. Call owner to clear up confusion over town & provide directions to the place & save the day! Step 8. Have owner tell me too bad. I can drive to their shop & deliver them myself. Step 9. Write Yelp review & letter to FTD. Guess which steps were not part of my original plan! Mistakes happen, but in the final analysis it is how the business handles the problem that makes the grade. Every year the gentleman I am dating has sent me long stemmed white and red roses. Not an inexpensive item at all. Always gorgeous flowers. However, every year for the past 3 years at least, I received my delivery, with a tiny card saying 2 mylars. That means 2 balloons should have been with my flowers. They were not. I told my honey, do not buy them there anymore. It is a matter of principal. I was so mad yesterday when a flower delivery came from the same place I told him don't waste your money anymore. I was fuming. Again the card said 2 mylars. The delivery people said the same thing as last year, we only deliver. Well the company needs to get this straightened out. It is not good service to have this situation happen every year. I called extremely furious, since, I look forward to giving the balloons to my son who is handicapped in a wheel chair and does not speak. His face lights up when he holds the balloons and seems to hold them in the air like he is flying a kite. Precious moments for sure. I was ordering flowers for a funeral. I spoke with someone who identified herself as Lisa, the owner, She was very cool, callous and abrupt. Had it not been for the fact that the family had said they were ordering their flowers there, I would have sought another florist immeditatley, she was so abrasive. When I saw the arrangement I had ordered, I was extremely embarrassed. I paid a lot of money for not a lot of flowers. I felt obligated to apologize to the family as I felt they expected more of an arrangement from me, given my relationship to the deceased. An over all horrible experience. read more

I was supposed to receive 2 dozen red roses for mothers day. I received a tiny bouquet of sickly green lilies and yellow carnations. I can honestly say they were ugly. Nothing about the flowers or the arrangement made sense. The vase was small and the lilies were huge almost tipping over the whole arrangement. The colors were a miserable mix of the sick green along with a few splashes of pink wilted carnations. Isn't it a rule in business to be nice, understanding, and considerate to the customers? Apparently, not at this place! I went in not too long ago to get the corsage for my prom date. Give credit where credit is due, the corsage came out very nice, but they weren't willing to own up to a mistake they made. My mom and I know nothing about flowers, and we thought we were getting one type of flower when we actually got another. If they told us ahead of time that the flower AND color was unavailable, then everything would be okay, but they were very rude and insulting to us. The employee said he didn't recall the conversation about having the orchid we requested, but the owner said that the flowers never came in, so which one is it? We were speaking very quietly asking what could be done, but the owner yelled at us with other people listening. We were then offered a discount because we insisted we didn't get what we ordered and the corsage was a double upgrade that costed $65. In return, a 5 dollar bill was slammed on the desk with the phrase "here you go". We were insulted for our lack of flower knowledge which was embarrassing since it was it in front of other customers. DO NOT GO TO THIS FLOWER SHOP! If I could give a zero star rating, I would. We will not be returning for any reason and neither should you since they showed NO RESPECT.
