You get split into two groups if the group is larger- team 1 on the bags, team 2 on the side turf. Jerome was the instructor (and the owner here), and is very patient with new people and just correcting form in general. People tend to lose their form when they get tired (myself def included), and he was there mainly at the bags helping my friends and I out and making sure we weren't approaching it in a poor fashion. I believe most of the people here are regulars, so its got a pretty "familial" feel. My one note is about the cleanliness- the gloves stink! I'd bring my own and get past that though. You can get a better deal if you buy packages at the Jym directly instead of online, so call ahead!

I decided to check it out because I was looking for a more intense workout, on top of the swim classes already take. I signed up for a one-day free class, and I was absolutely hooked! This is a full body workout and you will get a really, REALLY, good sweat. If you decide to continue beyond the one day free trial, there is a 30 day intro option which is about $39. If you decide to do it continuously it's about $60 a month. Yes, you heard me right! You get a quality work out AND it's affordable. I've tried doing title boxing and I love kickboxing, but their prices are insanely high for the average spender. Once you're signed up classes are unlimited, and you can pretty much come anytime during the week when they're open. Jerome is the instructor/owner and he's really good about helping you get going. DON'T feel intimidated. There are people of all levels in the classes, the most important thing is to keep moving and to keep hitting the bag. If you can't do a certain exercise you can always alternate it for something else. I like it because it's not all boxing, but other exercises incorporated into it as well. I definitely recommend you give this a try. If you don't feel the class is for you, then don't worry. There will be no one trying to harass you into buying something you don't want. I plan to continue on a monthly basis. :)

This place is good for that but is great for the young guys that are truly making a go at a career in the sport. The young thirsty guys add to energy and vibe of this place. Instructors are extremely knowledgeable, patient, and above all supportive. Makes me smile thinking about the instructors walking around during sparring with direction and positive energy and feedback. This place has been open for a while and has been producing champions and professional grade martial artists. My guess is that many more champions will be born here over the years and that this place will receive more and more recognition globally as an MMA institution that produces the best out there! We tried a couple of the schools, but Warrior was the most accomodating and really tried to help him over what had happened previously and to make him feel a part of the Warrior family. I've found that they have the best balance between "stand up" training and "on the ground" work, done in a safe, controlled environment, with great instructors who really work with the kids to create a positive environment. The training includes an emphasis on respect, not only for the instructors at the academy, but for parents, school teachers and their peers, helping them to become "bully proof" without becoming bullies themselves. Additionally, parents can train for free, in classes set up for them. My wife participates in the stand up and grappling classes. You'd be hard pressed to find a place with a better set of instructors (the new McKinney instructor is a BJJ master from Brazil).

The class is 45min and I never sweat....I did today!!! I enjoyed everything about the space. My son had a good time too. Make sure to book online for classes. Spaces are limited. Also, checking in gets you a little discount on these already inexpensive classes. Boxing is such a great workout, but they have other classes too if that's not for you. My wife decided to take advantage of their family plan herself and began working out with the kids in November. After breaking her leg and dislocating her ankle last year, she's recovering and strengthening her ankle. The environment is so encouraging and empowering. The coaches strike a great balance between pushing you to go a bit further than you did the time before and allowing you to listen to your body to avoid overdoing it. It is so obvious that they care about their members and take the time to get to know their members! The workouts are incredible and different from each trainer and they really help you out with technique so that you can improve every time. This is the type of workout where you get out of it what you put into it--some days I come in feeling exhausted already from a long day and try to focus on my form and then some days I come in and focus more on power and strength!
