You can see for yourselves by meeting with them in person and looking through the portfolios of work they have done. They even win several builds away from other builders. Do your research, know your facts, but don't listen to angry people venting their frustration on the internet today for work they had done many years ago and are probably equally to blame themselves.

We wanted a contractor that would think of the things we would not think of... such as the space needed to open a door without it hitting other things, a clothes shoot wide enough where things wouldn't get stuck, closets in places we requested them to be, and how to utilize space efficiently. We have a huge storage room but our in floor heater, water softener, furnace, and air exchanger are so spread out that we cannot utilize the space. We thought that when we found issues with the house while it was being built they would be corrected but that was not the case. Instead we found ourselves arguing with the project manager over and over again until we gave in. Each time I'm in our Jack and Jill bathroom I think of the pocket door argument I had with the PM and I have some choice thoughts for him. The only person who added any value to the process was Julie - the interior designer they have on staff. We were also impressed with Brock Wise - who handled the HVAC. We really wish we would have gone with Lund builders. They were so much more attentive to our needs when we got estimates. We screwed up. We based our decision on the parade of homes rather than facts. Later we had talked with a person who did contract work for Hartman... they said that Hartman focuses on the Parade and gives little time to the rest.... that was our experience as well.

On the day of our move, 2 men arrived and put down floor protecting runners. They worked very hard and were able to complete our move in 2.5 hours. We were thankful these men were respectful of our home and our items. They were friendly and professional, even kind to our dog who wanted to play with them. They are more then worth the money! They were professional, on time, and kind. Go with them if you are going to move. I have an injured back and an infant. We couldn't have done it without them.
