Veterinarians were caring, followed up with phone calls and demonstrated excellent clinical skills and clinical acumen when assessing our dog and providing recommendations. We are very grateful for the care provided to our furry friend. My compliments to Dr. Tam who provided internal medicine consultation and recommendations with excellent follow up. Dr. Baxter was very helpful in assessing the condition of our dog and helped us make the decision to proceed with end of life care but left the final decision to us. I would recommend this clinic highly. The care is expensive but you pay for their expertise in assessing and treating your pet. Consider purchasing pet insurance. I appreciate the fact that they are always open and available with very short wait times. Dr. Tom Ranieri (family physician)

Then I get home after dealing with the aftermath of the dog fight find out they charge me for sedation twice ?? A surgery ( 6 stitches ? Lol ) and the cut and clean ... I say again my dog going home with six stitches and that was 1400?! She now further need another surgery or proper drainage is to be done to her leg which was something they could've told me if it was OK that I could've waited until the morning to get this done and it would not have affected her life instead they casually arm behind the back make u believe now or never. Oh ps no constructive home care advice -based off of your experience with your animal how much hands-on can you do with it? Just send a large book to read if anything sure through my bleary tears.. advice like hot blanket on wound for circulation or Massage etc that they had going on they wanted to be open for some stupid reason lack of infection? Help drain so much straighten them into office she was unable to walk properly but they want me to get her into a tub to do hydrotherapy when she has wounds that are open all over?? Umm if it's logical explain it please because this stuff that overwhelmed me. and thus ended up ps pulling in her leg spilling blister fluid all night and now needing more surgery does not prevent preventative up care veterinary work !! That is called deliberate manipulative shitty work ending with u HAVING TO COME BACK !! if they had a hypocritical they would've just blown out of the water. Never mind there were one secretary Malinka making the mistake mistakes on my bill - she politely made me wait 15 minutes so it was 26° out to get me a bowl of water while she side and annoyed enter paperwork which was obviously more critical? Can you bring back my other dog after six hours of waiting she casually comes in and says well if you live close we can get your number and call you when there's an opening did she call me back now and the fact that she made me sit there for six fucking hours before she offered that as an option is disgusting. I'm out Albany vet and they are informing me that if they had just done the damn drain to begin with this would've never happened but was the drain even off no just a whole bunch of ridiculous surgical procedures that they said in total hours of $5000?!? What the fck prejudice to Pitbulls maybe maybe just put her down they're trying to Hint ?!? Arg decency what I said OK here's your budget here's how long she can make it take it to this Vet Clinic!!! in the morning they won't charge you this amount of money for this procedure that we're doing that's how you become a good vet that's how your name spreads in a "good way" Oh how novel ..then you get known about caring about the dogs and the people more than the money !! For fckn shame !!! No little kid wants to grow up to be a vet to take advantage of people in those moments knowing freaking well they can perform the procedure for 1/10 of the price they're asking. There is no set price that's why vets in the country are cheaper! 10,000+ K of cattle guarantee contract from one farmer alone they're not there to break your back and retire off ur grief . Countries vets morals are higher because they are already have a huge set of clients. The cutthroat attitude shouldn't be getting higher for shitty low grade bare fckn minimum quality of veterinary skills where a young blossoming vet savant of 12years old could have done better. Bare minimum nothing preventative all destructive.. wow

I knew something was wrong and they refused to listen. Pulse Vet was our go-to for years; ever since they first opened their doors, we have brought our dog in for various reasons and it was always such a calming experience. It went downhill so badly after the company was purchased. I rushed my sweet boy in on a Thursday night, knowing something was wrong. He was limp, weak, and wobbly. I asked to do any tests needed because I felt like he was in pain. 4 hours passed in the waiting room and we finally were told that they observed him in the back and nothing was wrong. They took his vitals only, and the vet did not receive my context for bringing him in, nor the photos and videos they asked for that showed what was happening immediately before taking him in. The front desk was not helpful at all when I asked even for a minor update, as if I were inconveniencing them. My sweet boy died 2 days later.

They did everything they could for him and explained it all to me so I could understand. Even at one point when we had a misunderstanding they were extremely professional. So what I am saying is both the vet care and the over business is just run so well. Hopefully you never need a vet ER but I would recommend this place!

Absolutely appalling treatment from a long-trusted clinic…read more I've been a loyal client at Oxford Vet for over 7 years and never imagined I'd be writing a review like this. We brought our dog in for a laceration repair, paid nearly $1000 for the procedure, and followed their instructions to the letter--including returning a week later for stitch removal. Within an hour of leaving the clinic, the wound reopened. We brought our dog back immediately, worried and looking for help. Instead, the male veterinarian came out with an aggressive, condescending attitude. He instantly blamed us, accusing us of not properly monitoring our dog and insisting we must have let him lick the wound--despite the fact that our dog had his cone on at all times and was closely supervised. When I expressed concern, he snapped that he "won't tolerate me taking it personally" and told me I was welcome to take my dog elsewhere. This was after I had just paid him $1000 and my dog was now in pain again. Only after insisting he take responsibility did he agree to re-sedate and re-stitch the wound--then told me I would not be welcome back to the clinic. There was no empathy, no reassurance--only arrogance, defensiveness, and blatant disrespect. He even said I was "making a big deal out of nothing," as if my pet's ongoing pain was irrelevant. His tone was hostile, and his body language was confrontational, as though daring me to challenge his "20 years of experience." Sadly, after this experience, I read other reviews and realized I'm far from the first person to be treated this way. Multiple customers have reported this same vet's aggressive, rude behavior and complete lack of bedside manner. The front desk staff at Oxford have always been wonderful, and my past experiences were positive--but this incident was deeply upsetting and unacceptable. I won't ever return, and I strongly urge others to read the negative reviews and think twice before trusting this clinic with their beloved pets

I was asked upon checking in to provide vaccination records, great, I brought them - I now know that all the dogs there are up to date and my puppy is safe. The receptionist then asked if it was okay for my dog to play with the other dogs while they weren't grooming him in the play area - of course it's okay, puppy socialization, awesome! I then left and waited for my puppy's first ever groom to finish. Four hours later I got the call to come back and walked into the salon looking for little Timmie to be playing with the dozen or so other dogs that were on the floor, but no Timmie to be seen. I could hear him though, hear him barking from somewhere in the back area. The receptionist saw me and explained that YOUR dog is being kept in the back room because he was barking. (And they thought that putting him in a back room would stop the barking?) I was a little upset with this, my dog is only 5 months old and is being held in a back room because he is being a scared dog, going through his first grooming experience and is barking??? I would have rather gotten a phone call and taken home an ungroomed dog if they couldn't handle the barking rather than have a dog that is now terrified of going to a groomer. I went to pay and the total was nearly double what I was quoted on the phone. I am reasonable, I understand that it can be a bit more than the quote due to the type of hair, temperament of the dog, etc. but double the price??? Needless to say I paid it, not happily and will not be going back to Dazzling Dogs.

My 12 lb dog has been charged from 31.50-56.00 for a regular bath (price varies depending on who's ringing it up). More recently was made to pay 70 dollars for regular full grooming PLUS extra. Because of no conditioner my dog matted horribly and had to have his lovely coat shaven off two weeks ago. Which they did poorly and left his ears dirty and nails long. A buzz cut for nearly eighty dollars! The worst part is that ever since his last grooming two weeks ago my dog got FLEAS. He had over six adult fleas on him. He also had deep matting inside both his ears. Deep, waxy built up balls of hair on a dog that gets groomed every two weeks? I had to brave a blizzard to take him to the vet, cancel my work, bathe him and clean my entire house, spray all mattresses and cushions, and wash everything at home. I called them to FOREVER cancel and my vet asked me to call them again to tell them they were possibly GIVING FLEAS to dogs!! No one manager was on site. Owner is never in. They did not appear surprised. 'They will pass on the message'. No reply as of yet... I'm not holding my breath. Update: it has been over a week and no one from Dazzling Dogs has called.

They do have a small stand on 127th, and lots of signs in the back but it was helpful to know that it was in the back. The outside is very basic, but that's all I need. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about dogs (I mention dogs but they probably know about other animals only on the basis that I have a dog). One of the staff, I assume the owner, has a dog as well and she was willing to share some tips with me from her experience with dogs. The animals are well taken care of as my dog seemed so chipper after taking him in for a grooming. They groom as best they can to your requests (I'm not the pickiest when it comes to grooming, just clean, cut, wash, and trim). They were also were good when it came to asking questions about the overall health and well being of the animals, giving suggestions as ways to keep my dog healthier in his old age. Having said all this, I think this is my go to place when it comes to grooming for my dog. It doesn't have all the flash of a petsmart or some other big retail chain, but they do have the personal touch that doesn't make it feel like a big corporation. They also apparently have dog sitting services as well. 10/10 would come again. Side note, they did a good job of keeping the dog that was neutered away from the other animals at the shop (another customer brought their dog for a grooming that wasn't neutered).
