The raised area was dangerously uneven, and I ended up rolling my ankle badly. I was immobile for weeks and am still recovering. Thankfully, I caught myself by grabbing onto my car, but this could have been much worse for me and my baby. This is a serious safety hazard that should be addressed as soon as possible to prevent future injuries.

Okay, so the reason for my review is that I think it's high time this place got a serious overhaul! This place is in such a GREAT location and is HUGELY under-utilized for the area it's in! The Plaza is adjacent to a residential area filled with people who I'm sure would welcome better shopping choices so close to home. Here are my thoughts. Lucky's, Michael's, RiteAid, PetFood Express, Beauty Avenue, Great Clips, nail place - they should all stay. Round Table can stay, but it needs a serious(!!) overhaul to make it more inviting. All the other restaurants should stay. Ross can go because it's about the worst Ross ever, but whatever - stay, go - meh. (But replace it with a Nordstrom Rack and I'm there!) The owners of this property should SERIOUSLY think about putting in some more interesting, slightly upscale stores. Nothing too obnoxious and snobby, but certainly something more interesting to drive more customers to the location. No, it shouldn't be turned into your typical strip mall, with all of the annoying chain stores - and God forbid it starts to resemble Sequoia Station (ick!) or Mervyn's Plaza. But a nice variety of useful and intersting stores would be good. We don't really need any more restaurants. That seems to be what goes into most places undergoing revitalization without other fun stores to drive foot traffic (think downtown RWC). It just needs an interesting variety of stores that will bring in more more customers and make people want to walk around a bit instead of just running into their particular store of choice and leaving. Some suggestions - think of downtown San Carlos (and maybe even a little Burlingame and Palo Alto) and fill in from there. How about a shoe store, kitchen goods/gadgets, hobby shop, games/puzzles, bakery, coffee place, specialty stores, etc. The possibilities are endless. So, please Woodside Plaza owners, raise your vision for this place. It can be so much more!

Not really impressed with this little throwback of a strip mall. The appearance and layout at best…read moresay homey. The three main section also present a mismatched appearance that reflect what the owner (owners?) must think about management of the property. Also an eyesore is the large dirt patch and generally little card paid to the gardening aspect of the property. For those of you who have seen the run down places in parts of of the South Bay, surrounding Dallas areas , and Orange, Ca you will know what I mean. The one really cool feature, also a holdover concept from era when the place was built, is a small indoor mini mall inside the larger of the buildings. Visitors who pass by on the street would hardly know Park Center has this little indoor area. I have not seen this area put to good use in years for anything like a site or community event. Another indication of an overall lack of care for the place.. But at least the area is well lit. A good thing too since there is a bar on site that could otherwise contribute strange vibe to the place except for the light. But this little shopping center does have a few gems like Sun Valley Fine Foods as well as Upper Crust Delicatessen. The last being a great place to get sandwiches. If it weren't for the little gems this place has I would have given the Park Center Two stars. Otherwise the only thing really right about the Park Center is that it's the only thing around for a mile in any direction. Which only goes to scream "captive audience". A little work on the property to renovate, update, and match the overall appearance could flip my opinion of this place from "industrial diamond" to a community gem.

There are two Starbucks locations: one next to Panda Express and the other inside Safeway. Unfortunately, Rite Aid is on its way to closing, and it's unclear what will replace it. Hopefully, it will be something that offers prescriptions again. For all you electric car owners, we now have multiple charging stations near BofA. Nothing has changed when it comes to the rude, inconsiderate people parking in the shopping center for beach days, despite signs cautioning against it.

Please note that this review has nothing to do with the individual businesses themselves (which I have and will review separately) but rather the overall ownership and management (or lack there of) of this strip mall. SO Why only three stars. Ownership of the area seems to be divided among several individuals. And while I freely admit its not my property it seems that many cannot even be bothered to provide basic maintenance of the property. Its dirty and dingy in spots. There seems to be a fair amount of turnover. According to a Mercury News article from 2016, one poorly maintained section generates over $30K an month. I can only imagine what it is now. Constant rent hikes and the like force out businesses. The mall needs a makeover, along with better signage, etc.
