Not really impressed with this little throwback of a strip mall. The appearance and layout at best…read moresay homey. The three main section also present a mismatched appearance that reflect what the owner (owners?) must think about management of the property. Also an eyesore is the large dirt patch and generally little card paid to the gardening aspect of the property. For those of you who have seen the run down places in parts of of the South Bay, surrounding Dallas areas , and Orange, Ca you will know what I mean. The one really cool feature, also a holdover concept from era when the place was built, is a small indoor mini mall inside the larger of the buildings. Visitors who pass by on the street would hardly know Park Center has this little indoor area. I have not seen this area put to good use in years for anything like a site or community event. Another indication of an overall lack of care for the place.. But at least the area is well lit. A good thing too since there is a bar on site that could otherwise contribute strange vibe to the place except for the light. But this little shopping center does have a few gems like Sun Valley Fine Foods as well as Upper Crust Delicatessen. The last being a great place to get sandwiches. If it weren't for the little gems this place has I would have given the Park Center Two stars. Otherwise the only thing really right about the Park Center is that it's the only thing around for a mile in any direction. Which only goes to scream "captive audience". A little work on the property to renovate, update, and match the overall appearance could flip my opinion of this place from "industrial diamond" to a community gem.

My family used to have social gatherings here at the (temp closed) Cooking Papa Restaurant. The cool feature of this shopping center is that it has lovely views of a large lagoon. Foster City, like the City of Alameda, has man-made lagoons. This shopping center has a Luckys Supermarket for an anchor store. And a mix of restuarants, banks, martial arts, and assorted other shops like the UPS Store. I walked around, and saw alot of empty storefronts. Probably closed due to the Covid shutdown. Others had closed early. Some of the restaurants were open, and had a good number of dine-in customers. You could tell where the open shops were by the cars parked. Huge vacant parking lot in the center. I'm sure it's more lively in the daytime.

Rollerblading across the original Westborough Hills Plaza and having lumpia & pancit after church…read morewith my folks is nothing but a fond childhood memory now. It will no longer be the outdated neighborhood strip mall where time stood still, as it's currently being redesigned and rebranded. Moved Out: The Plaza is former home to Pacific Supermarket, One Hour Cleaners, and Goldilock's Bakeshop, all of which have relocated to Westborough Square on Gellert Blvd. Moving In: Red Ribbon Bakeshop closed their San Bruno location and is relocating here to Westborough Hills Plaza. Open During Construction: Kragen Auto Parts became O'Reilly Auto Parts a few years back. Conveniently, they remain open through the Plaza's changes. Their El Camino store doesn't always have what I need so it's nice to have this Callan store as a close alternate. New Market: Gone are the smelly old days of the dilapidated Island Pacific Supermarket. Currently under construction as Phase I. is the new anchor, Seafood City (a Filipino supermarket chain in the United States with branches in California, Hawaii, Nevada, and Washington). I'm highly anticipating their 1st location here in the Peninsula. My mom and I won't have to trek across the bridge for hard-to-find specialty items much longer! New Restaurants: Welcomed additions to South City will include new (fast food) restaurants such as Grill City and Chow King. Spring 2016 is the scheduled opening of Jollibee's most contemporary State-side restaurant right here. Now we'll have 3 Jollibee's in a 7 mile radius, 1 for each Target store :) They'll all be perfect, quick solutions to hectic midweek dinners when we're too pooped to cook. The Gist: With 7,000 sq. ft. of retail space being built on the north corner of Callan & Meath, Phase II will include plenty more shops in the revamped Plaza. Time to make new memories, with my next generation in tow. Welcome Back, Kotter!

At this mall there are construction workers on the grocery corner of Lucky and Starbucks who are sadly enough ,LOITERING. It is unappreciated for the public to see loud men or even soft gentle words from adult males in orange vests as you enter a store. It is unwanted by many and not appropriate. It feels imposing. Stop this idea here that hanging out and watching over/ gawking at women is fine to do. Honestly folks, it doesn't look appealing and it also causes young kids to wonder why adults act this way. PLEASE stop the loitering in this area of business. The women who run the Starbucks store have to put up with this constantly as if it's part of a social hour to have their customers standing around just talking and holding the door open as if its a nightclub. It's just not funny. Kids need to walk through there and it puts a certain impression on children as to how working class adults behave in the day time hours & it's not even close to being funny or cute. Not acceptable. Stop loitering.
