I decided it was best to park on the roof and take the escalator down to ground level.....right to the restaurant! While I was there, I walked around to see what the indoor mall was like. It's a nice shopping mall with a variety of shops, restaurants, and services. The North Mall has a huge "Dining Terrace" which includes an outdoor patio with fire pits. I like the hand washing area. I heard stories that the owners of the mall want to tear down the enclosed mall and build a mixed use open air mall. The plan is yet to be approved. I like Hillsdale Mall the way it is.

Attended an early morning Beauty Trend Show in late July. It featured guest speakers talking about…read morecertain featured products, their attributes and makeovers on stage with the specific product reps applying it on models. They had light bites like croissants, yogurt fruit cups, coffee, juice, water and prosciutto wrapped melons. They had a DJ, raffles, free samples, freebies with a purchase and the theme was Hawaiian so we were given plastic leis and a big yellow mesh bag with a goodie bag filled with some samples. The presentation was upbeat and fun except for some ladies who were constantly chatting and even a couple of ladies behind me who just kept talking throughout the whole show so it was hard to hear. I don't know if one was translating from English but I thought it was very inconsiderate. It was already sometimes hard to hear because the speakers had to hold a microphone while trying to do a makeover and/or the music was also loud. Despite the interruptions, the reps and employees kept it upbeat. We ended up getting coupons under certain seats so that was a bonus for those who didn't win a gift basket from the raffle. Those baskets were generous with products!! After the show, women scattered to the respective cosmetic reps to try samples, buy with purchase and take advantage of the extras the reps brought for both the Beauty Trend Show and the Anniversary Sale. I reached out to the Beauty Manager, Belinda as I wanted some tips for eye makeup with a MAC rep. Belinda set up an appointment with a MAC Field Exec Shane Turner who was also a presenter. I showed up for my appointment but he was helping other customers who wanted to take advantage of the sales freebies for the day so I had to wait in the chair for maybe 10-15 minutes. He told me he'd wish there were more associates to help out. He seemed serious and overwhelmed. I told him about the MAC products I use and that caffeine irritates my eyes. He offered one product and said it doesn't have caffeine but I found out it had some in the ingredients list when I got home. I asked about the wear on a satin lipstick and he said it was long-wearing but it wore off later on in the afternoon. He applied a Green liner that was supposed to be long-wearing as well but that ended up smearing by the afternoon when I was still at the mall. He used a too radiant & brown tone concealer so that wasn't the correct shade. He gave some tips that were helpful but was disappointed in the actual products used. Afterwards, I went to 111 Skin and bubbly, enthusiastic, positive & informative Lupe the 111Skin rep was really fun to talk to and l learned about the line. She ran out of eye patches as a ton of women were lined up to try them. I had to leave the line earlier so I could make my MAC appointment so I missed out. I ended up learning about the product line and bought a serum after she applied it on me. I was amazed at the results! She was able to give me samples of their products so I could try before I buy so I was happy with that. I went to try some Jo Malone perfume and wanted to try a sample but they ran out of the tester on one. I was only able to spray some on my arm. When I checked out with a male employee, I noticed he had a few other yellow totes with samples and asked him about that. That was for the Influencers who RSVP'd originally for that day and I happened to be one of them so he gave me one! Afterwards, I went upstairs to look for more Anniversary sale items. The helpful Asian female clerk helped me locate some items that were on my list. I was happy they had a lot of sizes and merchandise at this location. They were well-stocked! This is a convenient location and have online store pickups upstairs which is convenient. The eBar has quick bites and I was able to get a Green Smoothie.

Sainted Goods is my new obsession for beautiful vintage consignment items, valuable designer finds…read morelike Manolo Blahnik, Bruno Magli shoes, Ferragamo purses, LV, and everything in between. I bought three dresses, with scarves included, 3 pairs of fabulous designer shoes, some reasonably priced designer vintage handbags and a gorgeous formal minidress/long top. I've worn everything except one pair of shoes so far and I've gotten lots of compliments. The owners are really great. Noelle stuck it out with me for the longest time, and was skillful at styling me and finding shoes, handbags and even lovely jewelry pieces to go with the outfits. This is a really really fun little hole in the wall of a boutique!! It's really tiny, but I was in there for hours trying things on and uncovering so many treasures. Amazing little shop!!! I'lll be back again and again. Such great Customer Service! You just don't find this kind of personalized styling anywhere even when a personal stylist is supposedly working with you, often all they are doing is checking fit and getting different sizes or suggesting alterations. I felt like I was a better stylist than they were at Nordstrom! Hats off to the owners/stylists at Sainted Goods. It is literally the best tiniest little hole in the wall and so fun!

There were at least 50-60 customers and ONE girl on the floor one of the days. However, a short time in you realize it's due to ALL the employees lack of social skills, and just pure laziness. I was in three times during the holiday week, and it was the same every time. No one greets you. You have to literally badger them to check stock. They just use their little scanner on the shoe, then walk away with no words said. After 15 plus minutes of waiting (no lie), no one will come back. IF they do, it will be the wrong size. 90% of the time, I had to ask multiple times if they were looking. Place is an absolute joke. So, I chalked it up to the holiday rush...until this week. I went in now a fourth time for an exchange. The exact shoe and size was literally on display. Of course, now not busy, still no one greets you. The employees just walk around the store looking like zombies. Like, can they even talk? I actually wonder. Anyway, kid takes the shoe after we told him we just need the other one to this pair. We waited for over 20 minutes. He finally emerged from the back, but just walked right past us with no shoe(s). I confronted him again, and it was like he was just seeing me for the first time again. At this point, I was just befuddled. He said they don't have it. I stated that I literally gave him the right shoe in the size, and he just needed to get the left one. He didn't say a word, and just walked away. At this point, I went to the cashier (who looked annoyed af in general) and told her we were trying to exchange but were waiting. No actual help was given. We told another employee what we needed, but they disappeared to the back and never came back. At that point, we returned the shoes with no exchange and said f*** this place. My girl and I were just in utter disbelief. Again, this was 4/4 times I have gone in here. That's a pattern, not just bad timing. I'm really surprised this place is still in business leaving so much money on the table. Stock is nice and the store is clean, but I'll never go back here.

I stopped by this store while visiting the Japanese supermarket next door, and I'm so glad I did! Kyle greeted me right away, listened to my needs, and patiently helped me try several HOKA models. He explained the differences between each pair without any pressure and made sure I found the right fit. I ended up buying the HOKA Bondi 9 Wide, and it feels amazing. He also told me they have a foot-scanning machine and more professional insoles available. I didn't try them this time, but I would definitely like to come back and try them next time. I could have bought the same shoes at REI or Sports Basement with my member discount, but I chose to buy them here because the service was so professional, patient, and thoughtful.
