After arriving in the ER there were no seats left. Found 2 wheelchairs in the hall after being…read morethere for 15 minutes we decided to sit there. With the amount of people it was going to be a wait. The nurse in the front er was fine with it. About 2 hours later Beverly decides we need to find an empty seat. She said it was a fire hazard. Ok? This whole place is a fire hazard, people stacked on top of eachother in the waiting room. You can't even get 6 inches of space from someone else in the waiting room. Rubbing elbows, literally. Later I was standing against the wall. An ER tech placed wheelchairs where we were previously sitting. I said to her Beverly said you can't have wheel chairs there because it's a fire hazard. Her response was that the fire marshal had already been thru recently. LMAO You might be on to something with this fire hazard business, Beverly. You don't have enough room or seating for the amount of people that are in your waiting room due to you having higher than the national average wait times. You need to knock a wall out and expand or something.I did some reading on hospital fire hazards. Wheelchairs, beds, in hallways are indeed considered fire hazards in hospitals. I wonder why the fire Marshall gives you a passing grade? Kalamzoo fire dept has different guidelines? Head scratcher for sure lmao Are they not showing up randomly? Many people end up in the ER because Bronson primary care doctors can't get you in the same day, next day, or even the same week. You have 2 Drs.You fired speaking up on this right now. So you end up in the ER for things your fast care and your urgent care can't treat. Related Side note, I once took my son in 2022 to Bronson fast care. He had an infected sebaceous cyst in his arm pit. We checked in and sat down. Wasn't long after they called him to the desk asked him to show them his armpit right there. He lifted up his shirt showed them. They said they can't treat that. No privacy for patients? I assume they thought he had monkeybpox as that was going around at that time. Mass hysteria from Bronson employees. Told us to go to the ER. We went down the road to borgess urgent care they took him in and diagnosed him with an infected sebaceous gland. Not only that they also referred him to a dermatologist to have it looked at in the future. Borgess has it's issues but I'll tell ya what they will take you in no matter what's going on with ya lol. This is why your ER is packed. Your fast cares turns things away they could treat. Doctors need openings to see established patients within a couple days for things. I know I can't get into my primary care for weeks if I ask. The consensus from the people speaking up for the 2 pediatricians that were fired, they are not getting appointments for their children for urgent matters for 5 days or more. You want your patients to rely on the ER and fast cares. Yet they are full beyond your ability to give care in a reasonable time. You know what makes me laugh at the ridiculousness, when the ER, or fast care provider tells you to follow up with your primary care LMAO. If they had time we'd go there in the first place. Back to the fire hazard. I will attach photos of what I read about the state laws on hospitals and fire hazards that fire marshals should be noting. If you don't have the money to expand your ER, which I doubt, ask for donors. Borgess, Core Health all have donors that help facilitate the necesssary equipment, buildings needed to give care to their communities. Person in the ER came to bring food to their loved one that had been in the ER in a room since the day before. Why haven't they been admitted, moved upstairs. Do you not have the rooms, staff, upstairs? Are you utilizing the entire hospital or is there not enough staff to do that? You need more physicians. Thank you to the Dr and staff that helped me when I got a room. Also the nurse and the couple staff in the front er that were kind. Remember majority of Bronsons problems could be solved by expanding the ER, adding more physicians so doctors can do their jobs treating their patients, leaving some slots in their day for existing patients to be seen when they need it. Also, your wait times to see specialists is ridiculous, I was quoted six months to see endocrinology and I don't get a Dr I get to see an NP. You need more physicians. Bill Manns-CEO James Liggins Jr-Chair-Lawyer Micheal Odar-Vice chair Randall Eberts-Secretary States your hallways need to be clear to allow the passing of 2 beds. https://www.jointcommission.org/resources/the-physical-environment/means-of-egress/clinical-impact/

Because I have chronic pancreatitis I am a frequent visitor to not only the er, but the hospital…read morefloors. the er can get pretty busy with extraordinary wait times, especially on Monday afternoons and Friday evenings (Like hours). They do cone around and check everyone every two h when it's like that though and take back the most serious cases first. I have occasionally had issues with er doctors not taking my pain or symptoms seriousl, (I'm a woman), but for the most part, they are great. The hospital stays have been wonderful. I see a doctor every day and the nurses are great. 10/10

I finally just stopped talking to her because it didn't matter what I had to say she wasn't going to listen. I left there and had to go to a Bronson facility to seek care after my visit.. I was also written a prescription for something I am allergic which was written at the top of my discharge papers and sent on my way. So now my insurance has to pay two times for treatment in the same day once this facility and once at the one that offered me treatment for real.... and the thing that she told me was my diagnosis was not the diagnosis that was on my discharge papers... save yourself time money and humiliation from being dismissed and don't come here..

There are 2 nurse practitioners at this Urgent Care there that need to be avoided at all costs,…read moreRobin Larsen and Holly Tullys. Our most recent experience was yesterday when we took our daughter (D) to urgent care, she was seen by Robin. D has been experiencing daily nausea and vomiting every day for the past month following a Marathon. She was initially seen by Robin 3 days after her marathon because of the severity of her nausea and vomiting. Robin did bloodwork, gave our daughter a bag of fluid, and sent her home with instructions to return to urgent care if her symptoms persisted. (Documented in daughter's discharge instructions). Robin did NOT mention OR test for Rhabdomyolysis (should have been immediate thought, given that D had just completed a marathon and had intense muscle pain accompanied by nausea and vomiting). D's CK levels were NOT checked by Robin. Two days later we returned to urgent care with D (per discharge instructions) as her symptoms had persisted. This time D seen by Holly. Holly came in to D's room and said very aggressively "I see you were here 2 days ago for the same thing, there's nothing more we can do for you." That was her IMMEDIATE response, no questions asked, no expression of kindness, no exam, just "you should be ashamed for coming back here for care." Importantly, D struggles with mental health, and for Holly to come in so rudely and immediately dismissive, D became distressed, embarrassed and felt GUILTY for seeking care WHICH SHE NEEDED. Holly did check D's CK levels and that was the FIRST mention of rhabdo. We left urgent care feeling frustrated and hurt as it seemed Holly's objective was to shame us for seeking care. Fast forward to D's visit yesterday (3 weeks after her last visit with Holly). Yesterday Robin was the NP. We explained D had continued nausea and vomiting, extreme fatigue, and struggled to keep fluids in. Instead of simply doing bloodwork and checking to see if in fact D was dehydrated, she REFUSED to provide any treatment and said you should go to ER. Simple bloodwork would have shown SO MANY things, (kidney function, presence of and severity of dehydration, CK levels) yet Robin refused. It took SO MUCH strength and bravery for D to return to urgent care yesterday after her horrible visit 3 weeks earlier with Holly and D's worst fear materialized. She was AGAIN shamed by a healthcare provider for SEEKING CARE, she was REFUSED care, she was dismissed and there was NOT AN OUNCE of compassion shown by Robin. I fault Beacon Healthcare for FAILING people who GENUINELY struggle with mental health. After being REFUSED any testing or treatment we left and D was DESTROYED by Robin's unprofessionalism, rudeness, lack of compassion, lack of kindness and shame blaming. NO ONE should be shamed for seeking medical care. Additionally, Robin straight up LIED saying that when she initially saw our daughter immediately following her Marathon, that she gave our daughter a diagnosis of rhabdo when it is documented in her daughters chart that Robin did NOT check our daughters CK levels AT ALL. It is a DISGRACE to be lied to by a healthcare professional. Yesterday I called urgent care and asked to speak to a supervisor to express my concerns about Robin and Holly. They should be held accountable for the damage they've done to my daughter and I'm sure other patients as well. I left a message, called again today, left another message, and nearly 24 hours later, still have not had a call back. Beacon needs to DO BETTER. There should be a system in place where genuine concerns about healthcare providers can be reported and taken seriously. Leaving a Google review is fine, but we're left feeling that these 2 nurse practitioners will continue to provide unprofessional, dismissive, and rude care and that is just flat out UNACCEPTABLE.
