This whole place is a fire hazard, people stacked on top of eachother in the waiting room. You can't even get 6 inches of space from someone else in the waiting room. Rubbing elbows, literally. Later I was standing against the wall. An ER tech placed wheelchairs where we were previously sitting. I said to her Beverly said you can't have wheel chairs there because it's a fire hazard. Her response was that the fire marshal had already been thru recently. LMAO You might be on to something with this fire hazard business, Beverly. You don't have enough room or seating for the amount of people that are in your waiting room due to you having higher than the national average wait times. You need to knock a wall out and expand or something.I did some reading on hospital fire hazards. Wheelchairs, beds, in hallways are indeed considered fire hazards in hospitals. I wonder why the fire Marshall gives you a passing grade? Kalamzoo fire dept has different guidelines? Head scratcher for sure lmao Are they not showing up randomly? Many people end up in the ER because Bronson primary care doctors can't get you in the same day, next day, or even the same week. You have 2 Drs.You fired speaking up on this right now. So you end up in the ER for things your fast care and your urgent care can't treat. Related Side note, I once took my son in 2022 to Bronson fast care. He had an infected sebaceous cyst in his arm pit. We checked in and sat down. Wasn't long after they called him to the desk asked him to show them his armpit right there. He lifted up his shirt showed them. They said they can't treat that. No privacy for patients? I assume they thought he had monkeybpox as that was going around at that time. Mass hysteria from Bronson employees. Told us to go to the ER. We went down the road to borgess urgent care they took him in and diagnosed him with an infected sebaceous gland. Not only that they also referred him to a dermatologist to have it looked at in the future. Borgess has it's issues but I'll tell ya what they will take you in no matter what's going on with ya lol. This is why your ER is packed. Your fast cares turns things away they could treat. Doctors need openings to see established patients within a couple days for things. I know I can't get into my primary care for weeks if I ask. The consensus from the people speaking up for the 2 pediatricians that were fired, they are not getting appointments for their children for urgent matters for 5 days or more. You want your patients to rely on the ER and fast cares. Yet they are full beyond your ability to give care in a reasonable time. You know what makes me laugh at the ridiculousness, when the ER, or fast care provider tells you to follow up with your primary care LMAO. If they had time we'd go there in the first place. Back to the fire hazard. I will attach photos of what I read about the state laws on hospitals and fire hazards that fire marshals should be noting. If you don't have the money to expand your ER, which I doubt, ask for donors. Borgess, Core Health all have donors that help facilitate the necesssary equipment, buildings needed to give care to their communities. Person in the ER came to bring food to their loved one that had been in the ER in a room since the day before. Why haven't they been admitted, moved upstairs. Do you not have the rooms, staff, upstairs? Are you utilizing the entire hospital or is there not enough staff to do that? You need more physicians. Thank you to the Dr and staff that helped me when I got a room. Also the nurse and the couple staff in the front er that were kind. Remember majority of Bronsons problems could be solved by expanding the ER, adding more physicians so doctors can do their jobs treating their patients, leaving some slots in their day for existing patients to be seen when they need it. Also, your wait times to see specialists is ridiculous, I was quoted six months to see endocrinology and I don't get a Dr I get to see an NP. You need more physicians. They do cone around and check everyone every two h when it's like that though and take back the most serious cases first. I have occasionally had issues with er doctors not taking my pain or symptoms seriousl, (I'm a woman), but for the most part, they are great. The hospital stays have been wonderful. I see a doctor every day and the nurses are great. 10/10

She exited the room and relayed the information to Dr. Doan. He actually laughed and made negative reference as to how I was trying to diagnose myself. All patients try to figure out what is ailing them. He and another fellow outside the door then spoke about the dangers of prescribing medications to patients who could be money grubbing and get you in the end. Please be aware that your patients CAN hear you as we wait in the room. I rarely visit the doctor and am a productive professional in the community who is certainly not one of those money grubbing people out to get you. Dr. Doan was pleasant in the examining room, but please be aware that patients can hear you outside the room as well. You offended me and seem to be disgenuine in your approach to patient care. My family has gone to this facility for about 15 years. This visit was a sad day.

I finally just stopped talking to her because it didn't matter what I had to say she wasn't going to listen. I left there and had to go to a Bronson facility to seek care after my visit.. I was also written a prescription for something I am allergic which was written at the top of my discharge papers and sent on my way. So now my insurance has to pay two times for treatment in the same day once this facility and once at the one that offered me treatment for real.... and the thing that she told me was my diagnosis was not the diagnosis that was on my discharge papers... save yourself time money and humiliation from being dismissed and don't come here..

Went in for a routine colonoscopy and felt forced to be knocked out. I told my nurse that I didn't…read morewant to be put under for the procedure (which used to be the norm), and I had to argue with the anesthesiologist for about 10 minutes prior to the procedure. I ultimately gave in just to get it over with but felt completely disrespected and my wishes were disregarded. I contacted Bronson "patient relations" regarding my experience and they told me "anesthesiologists aren't employed by Bronson so we can't do anything about it". This is an unacceptable answer to me and I wouldn't trust Bronson hospital to follow your wishes if it is inconvenient, or less lucrative for their contracted "employees". Unfortunately, these contracted employees aren't required to uphold patient centered care and have zero accountability.

After I got of surgery the nurses in recovery made sure I was ok, asked if I needed anything or if they could do anything for me. It's nice to see that people truly care. It's not just a job to them. If anyone ever needs back surgery go see Dr. Wiggins.
