I wish I could give a million stars!…read more Toro is located inside the Le Meridien hotel in Dania Beach. You have to go in the parking lot and get a ticket, but the restaurant will validate it. It has its own entrance from the parking lot. Right when you walk in, it feels very nice and upscale. My husband and I came for a happy hour experience, and tried just about everything. All of it was incredible! The guac was served with a mixture of plantain chips and tortilla chips, which I loved. The corn empanadas were surprisingly a little spicy, but delicious. The mac and cheese came in a skillet with tajin breadcrumbs, and was super creamy and delicious. The elote was probably my favorite. You can't beat truffle! I also especially loved the yuca that came with the beef. The drinks were super strong. After about a drink and a half (the hibiscus margarita and the Mexican mojito), I found myself needing to probably cut myself off. We sat at the bar, and the server who helped us was really nice. If you're looking for a nicer and more upscale happy hour experience, this is it. It's a great night out with amazing food. Highly highly highly recommended!

We only live about 2 miles away from this location. All the special modifications were wrong, the sauces came on top when we asked for them to be on the side. The food itself honestly wasn't very good and the value for the price point was definitely not there. $50 for a Loma Salado that was not very good. The burrata was okay, nothing great for sure.... I would say edible but not very good. Definitely not worth what we spent on the items. Will for sure not be going back.

We were looking for somewhere to get a very satisfying dinner at a slightly early bird time. We were the first people in the restaurant for dinner and we wondered if the empty place held any bearing on the quality of food. Let me tell you... This was one of the best meals I've ever had while traveling. We were shocked and amazed at the large portions and the incredible flavor. We try to eat high-protein, and that was no problem here. We kept telling the staff to give our compliments to the chef. We had a few drinks, we had a really great long meal, and as we were packing up, more people were flowing in. We had leftovers, but since we were traveling, we couldn't take them with us, so we decided to sit tight until we had finished as much as we could. Worth it!

And it was very off putting to see that on the menu they had all these additional charges. It's +2$ after 3pm and then 2$ if you share food! That is ridiculous. I don't believe either of those are justified. Also if you get fajitas you only get 3 tortillas. Usually places are more generous with tortillas. Nonetheless , the food is solid. The chicken soup I got was very tasty and tasted very authentic. I also got the chicken sandwich with rice and beans. I opted for the breaded chicken. It was fried really evenly and the chicken was thin. I like that. The salsa on the side was vinegar based with big chunks of onion and peppers. I enjoyed that as well.

I was hesitant when making the reservation because from my experience when restaurants are this close to performing arts centers or arenas the food tends to suck, but I was not disappointed. We made reservations for 6:30 on a Friday night before watching Harry Potter in concert. We parked near the theater, but the restaurant has parking designated to its customers across the street and in the back of the restaurant as well. This is a bonus for me as I avoid downtown Fort Lauderdale because of the parking. We got seated quickly. The patio area is very nice and cozy, but We opted to sit inside. The inside is very small. You almost feel squished of how tiny it is. We started with the yuca à la huancaina. This was definitely not what we were expecting and the taste was okay. We then had the chicharrones and it wasn't bad, but I've had better. I ordered the wild caught Argentinian red shrimp. This was absolutely delicious!! The portion is not big enough to share, but I can still taste how savory the meal was. I did feel like our server was rushing us and our entree took long to come out, but the last meal I ordered made up for it. They also have a special for those attending the Broward center.

I had a version of seafood paella with chorizo & hubby ordered fried seafood combo. We both enjoyed what we ordered. Everything tasted fresh. Our server was very friendly & quick. She suggested cappuccino & since we felt a bit chilly, we took her advice. The tables are very close together but not overwhelmingly close. For $20 you can leave your car in their parking lot & walk over to The Broward Performing Arts Center. We did & will definitely do again. We will be there again soon for a couple of upcoming shows. Truly a great experience overall.

We decided to try some Cuban, Latin foods and we found this restaurant in a walking distance from the beach. It's actually on the Las Olas Blvd. The restaurant is in a small complex with other restaurants so it's hard to find a parking space if you're driving. The restaurant is very nice and clean, the servers are quite attentive and pleasant. We liked the lunch menu prices but only for M-F and it was Sat. So the prices are 40% higher. Anyhow, my wife ordered Mexican steak plate and I had the mixed fajitas plate. The server brought over some magarita samplers which are very cute although we can't taste much. The plates came out sizzling hot and smell wonderful. The steak sauce was very tasty, and the fajitas sauce was excellent too. But both of the steak plates are quite chewy and tough. My chicken and shrimps were fine. The vegetables cooked to perfection. It was quite a full meal for both of us before a long flight back to the Bay. If we decided to move to Florida beach one of these days, we would go here for lunch while laying on the beautiful Las Olas beach. The prices are reasonable compared to CA. Not sure if we get beef again.
