I stopped here while visiting to grab a drink and a taco. It sits right off of Beach Blvd directly across from the beach. It made for a good view. The waiter was polite and I was seated quickly. Food was good, but over priced for the size. Then at the end of the meal there is a 20% service fee added to your entire bill. When I asked what that was she grab a menu and down in the very bottom right hand corner it just states there is a 20% service fee. Sure would be nice to know before ordering. Last time going there. My family and I loved this place! It was our favorite food spot the entire trip. Our horchata came with a paleta which was delicious and a nice surprise. The staff and our waitress were also very kind and attentive. We got the Mexican wings, esquites and enchiladas. It was better than anticipated, full of delicious meat and cheese with a thick consommé for dipping. I ended up bringing half home. Stopped into this nice little restaurant across from the beach in Fort Lauderdale, FL at 6:30 pm. No wait, and seated right away. Really enjoyed 3 steak tacos special ($12.99), and the chicken quesadilla. Two margaritas had the right amount of alcohol (classic and strawberry on the rocks). This didn't feel authentic to me and a bit of a tourist trap. I found it strange that the vegetable and meat fajitas would not come with cheese and you have to pay more for it. So no chips or salsa unless you pay for them. They have a good drink menu and their food menu should have something for everyone. Portions were on the large size, the pricing was about average. It's right on the beach so people watching is a plus but unless you sit inside during summer, you may sweat profusely. The staff was above average. Parking here can be a nightmare, be warned. read more

With our shot, we ordered the frozen margaritas. They are pricey, but they're so good! Tasty and strong. For the food, I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos. I have to say, definitely some of the best tacos around. These were delicious, and I am getting them again when I come back. We went here starving after a beach day and ordered taco salads and a Coke. We expected to pay 16 dollars (as the menu stated) and the receipt was completely different from the menu prices. We also needed our empty plates taken for more room, but when we asked the server just laughed and said okay and had no idea what she was doing. NOT TO MENTION there was an 18% service charge bumping my bill up another 11 dollars. This was outrageously priced for no reason, the portions weren't enough at all either. The service charge was explained to be as a "tip" when we asked and the actually tip button was an option on top of the involuntary "tip". Anyone can add jalapeno to a dish but only real cooks can add the jalapeno flavor and not the heat. Shrimp quesadillas were cheesey and the shrimp were good quality shrimp. Carnitas were the best cooked pork carnitas in Broward. Their hot sauce is no joke and another great testament to the cook. It was very hot but also very tasty. Maybe it was the time of day or just an off day for them, but I wasn't excited with the visit. They also automatically add a gratuity (which is no longer a gratuity, it is an added fee, earned or not) which is usually a non-starter for me, and they add 4% if you use anything other than cash. We saw this place driving by one day and decided to check it out for dinner because it looked authentic. It was crowded when we got there around 6:30 pm but we were able to get a table pretty quickly. They weren't as spaced out as I would like, but we were outside and even the indoor tables were well ventilated as the whole front of the building was open. The music was on the louder side, but it was mostly pop songs that I knew and enjoyed. I had a Paloma to drink, and it tasted watery but I think it was a pretty strong drink. The mojito tasted much better and had plenty of fresh mint. For food, we started with tacos. We ordered all 5 of the basic meat tacos they offered, and they forgot one (chorizo) The tacos are simple- just meat, onion, and cilantro. However the meats were full of delicious flavor, and they also brought us two sauces for them. We tried the fish tacos, which were good but nothing spectacular. We got the elotes, which were not the best I've had but still very good. After all this, we decided to try the al pastor enchiladas, which were very good. I'd say in general, the food is authentic and delicious, but not anything fancy or unexpected. The meal-especially the tacos- was enjoyable, but we were disappointed when we got the check. First, there was a large sign saying 2 for 1 drinks all day, but we were charged for all of our drinks. Secondly, we asked if they accepted credit cards and they said they did. When we received the check, there was a $5 surcharge added on for paying with a card, which would have been nice of them to mention when we asked. Thirdly, gratuity was included for our party of 2 (not mentioned on the menu), and then the receipt also had suggested tip amounts listed, as if they were trying to fool us into tipping twice.
