    punjena pljeskavica

Very tasty experience of the punjena pljeskavica or gourmet stuffed Serbian burgers. It is stuffed with cheese and is loaded with spices and herbs, flavors similar to other Mediterranean cuisine but it definitely one to check out. I pass by this food truck lot and recommend it to my friends and wife to check out the vast array of international flavors the trucks here bring and if you've never had Serbian food before, well I recommend checking this food truck out ASAP. Baklava was all right, good to try out but still haven't found one that makes me say is a must have yet. Burger and this bun definitely is different and worth trying out. It used to be located in a magical food truck near us1 and Davie Blvd. Now it seems that lot has closed up and these food trucks moved over closer to 595 and 95 intersection by some parking lot of a local elks Lodge. Nice picnic tables and space to sit around and enjoy a nice day out.

This was some phenomenal food. The two guys who run it are awesome guys. They took a minute to explain the different foods. Not only great guys but more importantly phenomenal chefs. Cannot wait to go back and try more

The portions of the main dishes are enough to split between two and for one large salad and one roasted chicken we spent $60 (including tip). The roasted chicken was really good the chicken came off the bone and the potatoes and beans were good! The salad was really good loved and I loved the hummus! The first serving of bread and hummus is on them then after that you are charged $3. They have indoor and covered out door seating and you can expect beautiful pictures of Greece around the walls. The service was ok , we came here for my wife birthday to celebrate the two of us but I don't think they do anything for birthdays.

It was about a 5 to 10 minute walk from Broward Center to the restaurant. The walk is very nice as it runs along the river. The restaurant is located next to the wharf heading east from the theater. It's a little bit of a challenge to find. If you're driving there, you definitely want to make sure you're parking near the wharf as there's no direct parking in front of the restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful. It's very clean and inviting. My only negative was that we sat outside in front of the river and could only see the river through small slivers in the thick foliage that created a wall. It's possible the foliage is there to create privacy because it's right next to the walk way along the river, but it kind of limits the view. Maybe during the day it is easier to see. The food and service was absolutely delicious. They serve tapas style, so we ordered a few dishes and shared. Everyone enjoyed all of the dishes. We had the fattoush salad, hummus and chargrilled octopus. Everything was excellent!

But the new decor is lovely and definitely a step above the place that was in this space before. All of our drinks were perfectly poured and came out quickly. The food comes up tapas style so you really don't know what is going to show up and when. We also have a service snafu when we couldn't find out server at one point (turns out he was out on the patio) We tried a range of dishes from the hummus with mushrooms, to crispy zucchini, chicken shish kabob, spiced lamb and the octopus. The food was good but I think we were hoping for more specific Greek entree's with a name like Mykonos and this was more Mediterranean but still good. Know that they do put an automatic 18% tip on your check so look for it if you go. Dinner ran about $100 per person with a couple of drinks each so typical for this area. The challenge they are going to have is carving a niche for themselves in the crowded Fort Lauderdale market. Their location is fantastic on the river but people are going to have to find them so they need signage out on 2nd street directing people back to their location. At the end of the night, while we all enjoyed the ambiance and the drinks, the food didn't stand out and we all wondered if we would be back.

My friends first brought me to Theos Estiatorio and we've since returned with more friends several times, once 3 times in a month. So yes, we all think it is excellent. Excellence from the moment we entered and were greeted by the hostesses. The decor and ambiance remind me of the upscale vibe of Mykonos and Santorini Greek islands. The service has been impeccable whether we are seated at tables inside, outside, or sitting at the bar. The staff were on their toes, friendly and always ready to assist even with a full house (and it has been a full house every dinner we've come here...trying to get reservations is the only part of visits we don't like). We've tasted a number of their signature cocktails. Our favorites include the Limoncello Martini, Spicy Margarita, Pear Sour and especially the Santorini Sunset (watermelon & basil vodka). You can't really go wrong with any of the selections. The wine list is also varied and superb. The menu is huge. Meze / Appetizers we go back for include the Fried Calamari, Grilled Mushrooms, Sardines Portuguese, Grilled Octopus. Don't forget Theo's Chips which are unique eggplant and zucchini! So tasty. While there are a number of delicious entrees such as Lamb Chops and Organic Grilled Chicken, the standout for us is the Whole Lavraki / Branzino. We order a large 2 pounder for 2 people. It is consistently, perfectly grilled and deboned, flaky and moist. We can't seem to forgo ordering this every time! Prices are on the higher side, but the quality of food and service, and gorgeous ambiance justify us coming back again and again.

Starting with what I enjoyed most, I thought the lentil soup was fabulous. It was rich and flavorful and tasted like it had a hint of fennel or coriador that I was not expecting. Fantastic dish. The kufta kebab was also very good. The spice profile here too was very interesting. It was different than other kebabs I had, I think had a hit of cardoman which was very prominent and added a wonderful flavor to the meat. The koshari was also very delicious, though it had sautéed, slightly well done onions on top rather than the crispy onions I've had before in koshari. As for what I didn't love, the chicken and beef shawarma were OK, but they really weren't shawarma. They were more like a shawarma seasoned stir fry. I wouldn't order it again and I love shawarma. Finally the falafel had an amazing crispy texture, but was slightly under cooked inside for some reason and not very hot. I do want to take a moment to note that the service here was fantastic. We were greeted warmly and given great service by the staff. Truly outstanding. Overall I'd give Mini Pita a strong 4 stars. Worth checking out and exploring the menu!

We went last weekend for Dine Out Fort Lauderdale. Would I come back? No. Here's why. The service started off poorly. Our waitress was so inattentive that after we had been sitting there for about 20 minutes, a manager eventually came over and took our order. We started with the Greek salad, which was actually great. When it arrived, I asked for salt and pepper simply because I tend to like my food on the saltier side. I never added it as it definitely did not need it. When our waitress cleared the salad plates, she went to take the salt and pepper, then mumbled, "Ahh, I'll leave it, but you won't need it," and walked away. At the time, I thought it was an odd comment. Once our entrées arrived, I understood exactly what she meant. The food was unbelievably salty. And I say that as someone who likes salty food. I ordered the Chicken Keftedes and my friend ordered the Grilled Branzino, and both were so heavily salted that they were difficult to eat. Did our waitress come back to ask how our meals were? Eventually, but it took so long that by then I had already lost my appetite. I genuinely wanted to send mine back, but I also felt bad about wasting an entire entrée. I thought I could take it home and salvage it by adding other ingredients to dilute the saltiness. The next day, I tried. Nothing could save it. There was also an issue with the water. We asked for water and our waitress brought us bottled water, which we were charged for. We assumed that was simply how the restaurant served water until we noticed other tables had carafes of water. We were never asked whether we wanted bottled or regular water. I do want to give credit where it's due. The Greek salad was great, and the Dubai Tart dessert was also excellent. Unfortunately, those two bright spots were not enough to overcome the entrées and the service. I really wanted to enjoy Sotogrande, especially since Dine Out Fort Lauderdale is such a good opportunity to try restaurants you might come back to afterward. In this case, we won't be returning
