Carbón y Leña is a Puerto Rican restaurant located on the westbound side of the #2 main road in…read moreQuebradillas, Puerto Rico. The food is delicious & served in large portions. Most of the plates are enough to feed two people. We had a Chorizo Sausages in Wine Sauce appetizer with Fried Plantains, Breaded Chicken Fillets with Salad & Churrasco Steak with a tasty Chimichurri Sauce. All were delicious. There were various birthdays being celebrated to the festive sounds of staff playing traditional instruments. The staff were super attentive & accommodating. The restaurant was large, bright, colorful & festive in its decor. There's also outdoor dining in the front & back of the restaurant. A great place to go especially for families & large groups.

This place has the wrong name. I'm not sure what it should be called but carbon y leña is…read moredefinitely not it. None of the food get anywhere close to any carbon or leña. In fact, as bad tasting as it is, I would say they buy the precooked bags of chicken strips from Costco and they heat it up with the rest of the ingredients. I had the chicken nachos and churrasco with chimichurri sauce. The best part of the nachos were the tortilla chips. Undoubtedly, those were scooped right out of the bag. I'm ok with that. The pico de gallo was tomato chunks without flavor. The churrasco was cooked on site (probably) but pan cooked, possibly a griddle. Not grilled. Their saving grace was actually having some cholula hot sauce. That made the meal "edible" The service, I must say, was pretty descent. You can't blame the servers for the terrible food. The environment is a bit of a plain Jane, wood paneling look withe a few Boriqua decorations. Certainly proud people. I would like to say that this is possibly a place for locals, but I wouldn't want to insult the locals

Julio's is definitely one of my favorite stops when I go home to Puerto Rico. I have my sister…read moretakes me down there to have my pizza empanada or as we call it pastelillo. It's a must do for me being that I can't find that type here in Orlando I mean I probably could but nothings going be like having it at home and by the beach. My sister usually gets Octopus salad, i am not a fan of seafood and I know that's weird coming from someone that lived on an island but I don't like seafood and plus I'm allergic to shell fish so it gets me away with it. My nieces love having the piña colada as we have a beer they do have some really good cordon bleu like nuggets I guess you can call them they're delicious I recommend them. The only thing that makes me sad is that my empanada use to come with a sorta dough braid on the side and now it doesn't. I use to eat the outside first and leave that for last because for me it was the best part. They do have a menu you can choose and some seats but nothing fancy vary casual place with some great music playing and you can watch tv there too. Some come down to watch the boxing games. Besides food, you can also go to watch people dance at night or sometimes have little concerts. Afterwards you can just cross the street and walk on the beach or just sit listening to ocean as it takes you're problems away. I miss this part because in Florida a good beach is 2 hours away while here it's 10 min or less. One more thing. There are several other kiosks like julios there but julios is the last one. Some of the kiosks have different things than others so shop around is my tip and find out which oh like best.
