LOVED this place! the servers were so sweet and our little guy adored them. they engaged with him every time they came by and kept a smile on his face our whole visit! i enjoyed the piña colada but wished it was a little stronger as it tasted like it was a virgin, but still good! the mofongo was amazing as well as the tostones de pana and that garlic sauce is to die for. my husband really enjoyed the kan kan and the rice. the views were immaculate and it was such a lovely beachside restaurant. we will definitely be back on our next trip to PR. read more

Kai is situated right on Playa Jobos with ample seating in the bar and on the deck, facing the beach & a volleyball court. The server was very friendly, and the food came in huge portions. We wished we'd shared the steak quesadilla (which came with nachos on the side) instead of going for two whole plates, but we left stuffed. Definitely bring the whole crew here for drinks and split a couple dishes! read more

What a find Kai was! We split the snapper filet and with seafood soup (Excellente!), we're full. Best snapper filet ever. 2 sizable, 3/4" thick lightly fried were moist and perfectly seasoned without sauce on the side. Mojitos were perfect. Kikos (sp?) was just great and fun. If you intend to go to Jobo beach and expect to spend the whole day you absolutely have to have lunch at this wonderful restaurant bar. The Mofongo with shrimp and red snapper was Out of this World. My partner had the salsa and chips a great appetizer. Service was wonderful and how can you beat the beautiful blue ocean that you look at while you're having lunch? A great spot. read more

The location is definitely a plus--right on the oceanfront in a newly developed part of the beach. Great views and atmosphere. That said, the experience was just okay overall. The food wasn't great and felt overpriced for what we got. Service was neither bad nor memorable--just average. The bar area had quite a few flies, and the eating area was full of birds, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. Kai changed their location since I've last been here. We ordered the surtido. My husband got a great deal on the beers! 5 for $10 Coronas! You'd never find that! It's a nice ambiance by the ocean with a view. The service was fine, no complaints. read more

Kai is the "old trusty" that's not great, but is there when you need it and won't let you down. Parking is pretty easy with the lot out front, but there's also street parking at peak hours. Views are great too! The margaritas were very large in size, but did not go down easy and weren't enjoyable. The aftertaste of the tequila was off and the drink just had an overly sugar taste. The mixed nachos were pretty solid, but weren't superb. The salmon and mahi mahi filets were fine, but again - nothing to write home about. read more

Kai Beach is a must visit for dinner. It is beachfront on Jobos Beach. It has a beautiful view during the day and great ambiance in the evening. The food is excellent. The beans and Majado de Viandas are phenomenal. The skirt steak and Pechugas rellenas envueltas en bacon were my favorite dishes. But everything we ordered was excellent. I enjoyed the 16 oz and 32 oz options for the pina coladas and mojitos. The service was good, prices were reasonable, and the restaurant was clean. Me and my family can't wait to go back! read more

What a vibe! Loved this little spot right on the beach in beautiful Isabela, PR! Apparently Sunday is truly Sunday Funday in Puerto Rico and I got to experience it here at Kai. I stopped at Kai 2 times and had a great experience. Jessica the bartender was amazing. And I never order fish anywhere (I just like it fried) BUT i got the stuffed Mahi Mahi and it was literally one of the best meals I've ever had. Drinks were good and prices were very reasonable. Amazing view. Be able to speak Spanish; if not pull out the Google translate. They were patient with our Spanglish. The beer was warm but server offered a bucket of ice to cool them down. The fried shrimp  (actually coconut shrimp) was delicious. Two Negra Modelos, one shrimp appetizer= $19.38 with tax. Affordable spot just off of the stunning Jobos Beach. read more

Came here on Tuesday afternoon for some beach front food with a view, and what a view! My husband and I sat in the patio looking over jobos beach, we order a beer and passion fruit margarita, yummy! Kudos to any business that can rebuild itself after a hurricane. I am glad that they are doing well and able to provide jobs and a fun atmosphere for locals and tourists. Unfortunately, the food, drinks, communication, service, and music are all terrible. This establishment is getting by on their location and view alone, both great, but if you are expecting any kind of quality for your money you won't find it here. I don't normally take a chance on fish at a new place, but all the meat we've eaten in the area has been very gamey and there are few vegetarian options. Between two people we could not finish the $17 mahi entree which didn't come with the rice that is supposed to accompany it (I think it would have been edible with rice, but without it was just too fishy). The fried shrimp was ok, child's food at best. The side of sweet plantains was good. I have had one decent margarita on this entire island (at Tuluum Mexican restaurant in Aguadilla). At Kai I would recommend sticking to a bottled beer as they don't seem to know how to make a mixed drink. Admittedly, as visitors to Puerto Rico, we should have better Spanish speaking skills. However, this restaurant is clearly meant for tourists--with the price point ($10-$25 entrees) and the menu being 100% in English--but most of the staff do not speak or understand English which made it difficult to communicate our experience and expectations. Eventually, a manager reduced our check by $4 for the missing rice. All in, we paid $45 for one bad entree, one poor appetizer and a Mr. and Ms.'s T's margarita and left disappointed, hungry, and sober. read more

We stopped by Isabela on our way back to San Juan from Rincon and found this place through Yelp. Drinks are a bit weak (as mentioned by some other reviews) but overall not too bad. Perfect spot if you're looking for pretty good food with a wonderful view. There's a full bar, wonderful views of Jobos beach, good music in the background (that wasn't too loud), pretty good food, and fast service. If you prefer to eat local seafood as oppose to frozen and/or imported seafood (it happens in PR often considering their commonwealth status) then ask them what local seafood they are offering. I ate a Dorado filet (local Mahi Mahi) with a monfongo side. It was DELICIOUS. Along with the view, it was perfection. read more

My fried snapper was fantastic. Nicely seasoned. The live music had the whole restaurant buzzing. The service was a bit slow to get to us at first but totally understandable as our waiter seemed to be handling an unusually high amount of tables. Overall still a five star experience. Great spot in front of the beach too. I can't wait to go back next time I'm visiting PR. read more

This place was great. 5 stars without a sweat. Ambience - It's on the ocean overlooking surfers in the bay. Staff - Two stupid gringos did just fine here with zero Espanol habla'd. Our waitress, Francesca was super attentive. She didn't even skip a beat when we stiff armed our way to a front spot view of the beach(Sarcasm tag added just in case). Food - To die for. DIE FOR! We shared Steak Nachos and Calamari. The Steak on the nachos had so much flavor and was so tender. This isn't just some burger thrown on like other "steak nachos" I've had. The creamy avocado chews sauce rocked! The Calamari was fantastic - fresh, not chewy, like 90% of the frozen Sysco brand crap I've eaten on the mainland. And then, the star of the show, my seafood stuffed plantain swimming in Creole sauce. The mussels, the shrimp, the crab, the fish, all sooooo good. The creole sauce was money. All sitting on top of mashed plantain. This just made my list of regular spots when in town read more

Cleanliness is a must for me. The air smells like , probably bc of the port o potty's placed so near the outdoor tables. Napkins all over the floor. Don't see any trash cans any where to throw my trash away. Hey manager.......do your job. Clean this place up better. Place the port o potty's somewhere else.
