The food was plentiful, fresh and full of flavor. We tried the chicken tacos, fish tacos and fish enchiladas. Absolutely everything was delicious. The lightly blackened fish was especially fresh and perfectly seasoned. We also sampled the local pique and loved it so much we brought a bottle home. I had the jerk chicken with rice and beans. The chicken was very tasty but I found it to be dry. Fortunately, when dipping the chicken in the sauce they provided, it made the chicken taste a little more moist. The rice and beans were good. We sat at the high back chairs that face the bay. We absolutely loved the fish burrito and tacos, made with delicious grouper. Prices are pretty reasonable too for the amount of fish you get. The pineapple salsa was the perfect touch. Can't say no to a surf-side taco shack and it delivered. The only thing I knocked a star off for is because I asked for no cilantro and got... a lot of it (I'm one of those monsters that tastes soap instead). That said, the fish tacos were delicious. Half of our group preferred them over the chicken, the other half swears by the chicken. I think they were both great. But the true secret is the special house-made hot sauce. This place looks pretty awesome. Right by the beach, it's got that vibe people look for on a tropical island. There were two guys cooking inside the shack. Both of them acknowledged that I was standing there in their peripheral vision, turned around, and kept cooking without even saying hi, smile, or anything. They opened the window that was right in front of me at least 4 times to serve the food for other customers. I stood right by the sign says "order here" for literally 10 minutes. FYI: This is under different ownership than reviews prior to a couple years ago. We don't have anything but rave reviews for this charming breakfast/lunch spot. If anything, we wish they were open 7 days a week Once we visited this little slice of heaven, we chose to revisit for every available meal. The owners are kind and friendly and the food is (chef's kiss) delicious. The hot sauce is small batch and since I can't handle spice, I opted for the mild. It has a pineapple base and is a perfect complement for all the things. We've had power bowls, yogurt bowls, tacos and burritos, breakfast and lunch. It was all amazing!! We took it to go and ate it on the beach one day. And the fresh juice... get it! We had never had fresh guanábana or acerola juice but we loved it all. We had fish tacos made with rainbow runner caught fresh in Rincon. So good!! Did I mention the cookies? Get those too! They'll sell out! I found the fish taco to be excessively salty; it was challenging to eat it. I wasn't impressed, and it's unlikely I would return.

If you are staying on Sandy Beach this is a MUST visit (or if you are just visiting Rincon worth the drive). Walking distance from where we were staying (and from the beach). Fish tacos and fresh juices were delicious. I'm just sad we didn't eat more meals here, check hours because many days they are closed by 3/4 pm, so plan on breakfast or lunch at Jack's. read more
