If you pay in advance, you're screwed and be prepared to pay hundreds more at the counter in "taxes" or "fees" in addition to what you already paid for! No chance to get refunded if you cancel and go somewhere else! If you choose pay later, what you booked for is NOT your final price! You'll pay hundreds more at counter, and most likely they don't even bother telling you! You find out later they added bogus taxes and fees when you see your credit card statement. They run a scam, in a nutshell. Operate under 5+ names Allied, Nextcar, Rentawreck, Priceless and Routes- all the same company and if you use a search engine they are the cheapest always. Stay away from hidden companies- like "provider's pick"- it's still them! Not sure how any of this is even legal! Staff is pretty horrible and place very dodgy, to the point one feels unsafe. Lastly, if you rented from them, bring the car back spotless or they will charge you a ton for cleaning if you have even an insignificant amount of sand in the car. Pay a bit more and go to major rental car companies- they don't do this, however you will see a few taxes usually $3-8 dollars for local weird taxes on top of estimate.

We call the car rental right away and they tell us they can offer a different car but we didn't want to have another car with the same issue so 12 hours later we went to return the car and ask for a refund. We were told that they can't give refunds at that office, to call the headquarters in San Juan. The girl said that unfortunately they have that problem with cars all the time coming from San Juan filled with roaches and everyone complains. I called San Juan and they took a message and said they would call me back. No one ever called me back. And I never got a refund either. They refused. I even disputed the charge on my credit card. PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THIS CAR RENTAL COMPANY. DO YOURSELF THE FAVOR AND PICK ANOTHER COMPANY THAT IS REPUTABLE. I had to pay $170 for 12 hours of car use. I had to waste precious time on an already short trip because of this situation and they did not care one bit. Unfortunately, we didn't think of taking pictures while we were trying to kill all of the roaches.... But at least you can see that the car was not in good condition which we were told is normal for this type of car.

The car was a total piece of crap, not what I rented. We had to put air in the one tire every 2 days, the car battery wasn't secured and the cables would work loose, my husband would have to tighten the cables so the car would start. The car was filthy inside and had several cockroaches. It's sad because when we rented from there 2 years ago it was a good place, I believe new owners took it over and now it's a piece of shit. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the trip, but spoke with Naomi Sanchez who was able to cancel my reservations with no charge to me. She was extremely friendly and professional. When I have to fly back to PR, I will definitely be contacting PR Green Transportation due to their excellent service. If they treat a customer this well on the phone, I would assume the rides & drivers would be just as good, if not better! Thank you for the positive experience!
