My new car maintenance window expired after 24 months, so I was looking for a local independent mechanic to take my car to. Boris performed a complete 30K maintenance service that including changing oil, air, and cabin filters as well as checking and replacing all the necessary oil, coolant, brake, and washer fluids. He lubed all hinges (door, hood, etc), checked my brakes and tires, and cleaned up the engine. Boris explained all of the work, and noted some areas that I should keep an eye on in the future. Boris is the most thorough and conscientious mechanic I have known. I took my 11 year old Rav4 in for 60,000 mile service upon the recommendation of a friend and the work that he did was outstanding and meticulously documented with pictures. Every potential issue on the car was checked and serviced and at the end I had not seen the engine so clean and shiny since I bought the car 11 years ago. A similar service would have easily cost 3 times as much at the dealer with most likely not the same thoroughness. I don't think I would ever consider servicing my cars anywhere else. read more
