So I went searching for a small law firm that specializes in wills, health care directives, durable powers of attorney, and avoiding probate, and found PugetSoundWills.com and founder Kyle G Ray, attorney-at-law, with offices in Kirkland, Edmonds, Mill Creek, Seattle, and maybe a couple other areas round the Sound. Met with Kyle this morning in the Kirkland location -- a bit tricky to find being co-located in the US Capital Strategies office and without obvious dedicated parking (but across the street from free public parking adjacent to the Kirkland Library). Kyle's style in our initial meet was low key, no pressure, and not in legalese. Services are tiered in sensible packages for varying needs, and I'm impressed that all documents will be ready for review, signature and notarizing much more quickly than I'd imagined. We all know that dealing with lawyers can sometimes be a gigantic pain in patootie, but such was not the case with Kyle and Puget Sound Wills.
