I could say a lot of things about my experience everything from him having me look up smc codes to him sending the legal documents to the wrong address (which pushed our court date back 2 months), there's honestly a lot I can say. The amount of errors he made, made me question whether or not he was working for me or against me. There is no way a competent attorney should be making the amount of mistakes he was making. After 10 months he was still spelling my name wrong on the legal documents. He would also copy information from previous cases because he would forgot to change the names and dates on those documents. He is EXTREMELY unprofessional, he'll never answer once he has you as a client, he'll claim he never said things that he did. Stay away from this lawyer and law firm; I get he might be on the cheaper side but you'll pay 10 times more later due to all his mistakes. He doesn't have a good reputation; if you're going through any legal matters especially evictions in the king county area, dont be cheap, hire a good, reputable, experienced attorney or else you'll end paying more in time and money later. Please learn from my very expensive mistake seek legal representation somewhere else. Or you'll end up having to go through the process all over again. Lastly here are just a couple of things I had to experience working with Chuck. - Rarely answers the phone once I became his client. - Won't give you an update on the case; I had to call and ask. - Astronomical amount of spelling/ grammatical errors that I had to fix. - Had me look up SMC codes to add to the notices (isn't that his job?). - I had to re write numerous legal documents over and over because he couldn't do it without numerous mistakes. - Didn't check his work before submitting it; I'm his client yet someone else's name is in the paperwork. He would just copy information from other cases. - Some legal documents were written in pen instead of typed; and his hand writing is illegible. I'm his client who told him the information, and even I can't read/ understand what he wrote. - I had to submit the legal documents to the court because he didn't know how. Numerous documents were rejected when he submitted them because they were not submitted correctly. - Couldn't get printer to work so he sent evidence photos in black and white. I'm the one who took the photos and even I couldn't tell what I was looking at. Photos were pretty much useless. - Said he would submit legal documents by a certain day but wouldn't submit them for weeks. NOT days WEEKS. All in all, learn from my experience and just hire a good experienced attorney; yes it's expensive but you'll be happy that someone who actually knows what they're doing is representing you. Even though I have to go through this process again, it feels like a million pounds has been lifted off my shoulders knowing I'll never have to work with Chuck again! Chuck needs to do himself and his clients a favor and just retire and close this law firm down for good!

Pros: They got the job done…read more Cons: 1. They are very unorganized. They usually put you on hold between 5 - 10 minutes to look for your case; and they charge you for it. They even charge me when they are asking about my military background when that has nothing to do with the case; and charge me for it. 2. I understand current eviction cases volume are very high and takes time. However, we were passed on to 3 different lawyers in the firm within 6 months and have to constantly resend them information when everything is already annotated sequentially. 3. They DO NOT get back to you. They sometimes get back to your email if you send them a follow up email a week after. If you don't follow up with email, they will not even get back to you. Calls are a hit and miss. Sometimes they will answer you and sometimes they will tell you they'll call you later. They do not call you. You'll need to call them.

First one lawyer/admin/paralegal took my call and gave me an estimate. Then she scheduled a 2 hour call with another lawyer in the firm. By the end of the 2 hour call, the new lawyer then gave me another estimate to finish the project that was way higher than the initial quote but I feel obligated to continue with them because of the 2 hour ($600+) sunk cost. What was more unacceptable was that the lawyer's response was not timely. Sometimes she didn't respond for 4 or 5 days after multiple follow up emails. And she claimed that she didn't receive the final signed document from the opposing lawyer due to email server issue (which I received through regular consumer Gmail account). I am not sure if she is telling the truth. If she is, I wouldn't want to work with a firm that has unstable email servers that may miss important legal emails.

He was referred to us with the recommendation that Cory does not overload himself with cases, he prefers to dig in and get to know his clients cases thoroughly, completely. I have to say that so far--that is exactly what is happening. Cory is incredible, and so is his gifted Paralegal Jill Jenkins (Hi Jill!). Jill is Very responsive. Both of them are very organized. In court, I have never seen an attorney more prepared. He had a binder with tabs to cover any single thing that opposing counsel mentioned, no fumbling or looking for things, no ahhs or umms. He is VERY prepared in court. It's obvious he is totally at home speaking in court, he's a very experienced and effective litigator. No BS, no wasted words, and Cory *completely* out-lawyered opposing counsel at every turn--so far. If you have a case unlikely to settle, Cory is the type of attorney you dream of finding. Thank God we were referred to him, and he agreed to take the case. Cory is our third and last attorney, we have an extremely high-conflict case, and he's managing it with ease, whereas the last one absolutely could not deal, even after being warned. Cory is unrattled, has no problem calling things out, being an aggressive advocate when warranted, firing off a letter in 15 minutes getting action(!), and gently pulling back when it's not in the case's best interest. Jill has a great sense of humor about it all, so refreshing. Jill also writes very powerful Declarations out of "word salad," so gifted. The best part about Cory is he literally takes the Reins (pun intended) and takes action, he plans for all outcomes, and he is not afraid to use the law and courts, none of this "lets not rattle the cage" bs. --Yes, please, I want to rattle the cage, I'm sick of being nice, I'm done *taking it* and I'm ready to dish it out.-- Cory is your man. He is several steps ahead, bringing forward strategies and motions while we are still processing what just happened--Cory is halfway to the next goalpost.
