    How rude. We…read morerecently utilized this company for basement cleanup after a major plumbing issue. Our basement had been flooded, some items were damaged, including the floor, carpet, etc. Our insurance company suggested we get with this company for restoration, sanitation and cleanup. They came out and took up our damaged carpet, which was fine, they emptied a closet they shouldn't have (no water damage was done there), threw some things out that was in the basement flood, which was fine... but after they power washed the floor, it was still dirty, gritty, etc. They did use a nice lemon scent which took away that mildewy smell. But afterwards, I STILL had to clean over what they so-called cleaned. I did a better job using various cleansers, brushes, mops than they did using their machinery. The service person refused to provide us with a bill insisting that they'd send it straignt to our insurance company. So we had no paperwork, nothing. Our insurance company, for some reason, sent us the check. Shortly after, we started receiving phone calls from the owner of this company EVERY DAY, as well as the bill and paperwork (requested at the time of service) via certified mail. (NOW they want us to have it). Well, my mother had undergone surgery while these harassing phone calls were happening. I handled her affairs, such as letting Servpro know that she had surgery and we did receive the paperwork and it will be handled when she (my mother) got out of the hospital and back on her feet. Today, my mother called to conduct business with this company and acknowledge the bill, address payment, make those arrangements, etc. However, she also wanted to voice her dissatisfaction with the service. Instead of the person LISTENING to the customer and providing customer service (this is a business after all, no??), this person interrupted with "Prices are non-negotiable". My mother acknowledged this, but stated that she just wanted to voice her concerns. She was continuously cut off, and then the person stated, "Well if you aren't going to pay us, we'll see you in small claims court". AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. What?? WHO does that? What business would allow their employee to do this and if this was the business owner, SHAME ON THAT PERSON. My mother was a.) wrongly accused of NOT making a payment for a bill that she was given and b.) threatened with a lawsuit. Both are completely uncalled for, unjust and unfair when she merely wanted to state her concerns and dissatisfaction with the service or so-called services provided. NOW, this company that was hot on calling every day, is not returning our phone calls to get this matter straightened out. My mother has every intention of paying this company what is owed to them. She is not a criminal or a shady customer like this business is treating her. This company will NEVER receive our business again and I will tell anyone who will listen to NOT use Servpro for their restoration needs. EDIT -- Maureen Winfree, the owner, called me at 12:30 pm est. She stated that she did NOT hang up on my mother and that she'd never do such a thing. She says she said "goodbye" before hanging up. She also claims that my mother indicated that she was NOT going to pay what was owed. I take it she saw my review-- I sent it to her, ha! I did NOT apologize for my review or anything I said in it. When I got the story from my mother, I repeated it back and read this review to her and she did not correct me at all -- apparently, I had everything correct. So I called my mother and she stands firm by her account of being hung up on. She also states that she DID NOT SAY that she wouldn't pay. She still does have EVERY INTENTION OF PAYING. She just would like to speak to our Insurance Rep again. I advised her that when she does send payment, she should send a strongly worded letter. Oh, and newsflash to Maureen -- saying "goodbye" before hanging up still means that YOU were done with the conversation regardless to whether the person on the other end was done or not. Goodbye.
