A classic neighborhood Italian restaurant that has served this community for almost 50 years. After that much time, it's sorta off the beaten track but easy enough to find. It's close quarters inside complete with red checked table cloths.it's of regulars but they certainly went out of the way to make us feel like one of the gang. Excellent service. The wine list is similar to a good one from c. 1985 but that's ok. There are enough standards and the pours are generous. The apps were tempting but we held off since entrees came with salad or soup. And the salads were not measly add-ons but real salads even with bay shrimp. The garlic bread was just average. The entrees however were excellent, great quality and generous quantity. We had the spinach fettuccine with meat sauce and fettuccine Alfredo with salmon and snow peas. Both are recommended for their taste and preparation We had dessert too because the place was just too delightful to leave quickly. The cannoli was average--a bit mushy. The spumoni was very good. Food was amazing if you have a gluten allergy just ask for the gluten-free menu food. Knowing it was a staple establishment we gave it a try and try to support locals. We know good Italian. Noting spectacular. We got the lunch special. Meatballs and Meat sauce. Had a takeout order of spaghetti w/mea sauce and Shrimp Diablo. Meal was excellent as usual but when i arrived home I found the two cannolis ordered were not there. When I called them to get credit for the missing items I was asked for my address and said they would deliver them. Just as we were finishing our entries a member of the Bosco family arrived with the cannolis and apologized for the mistake. We were the first takeout order for a new waitress on her 1st night. Wow, what can I say. My wife and I have lived in capser for 8 1/2 years. I'm retired military so we have traveled the world. Finally decided to try Bosco's. For a family resuming in Wyoming, I have to say we were impressed. We could see in the kitchen that our meals were being made from scratch. The flavors were on point and our service was impeccable. I always try to stop here when I go through Casper, or when I stay in Casper. Good Italian food, and they offer gluten-free pasta! They have a good system for taking care of folks who need gluten free food. It's a little small, and can be tightly packed, but it's a cool little place! I was greeted quickly at the door, seated and Kelly brought me a water. After a quick review of the special, I ordered an iced tea and the Italian burger w side salad Kelly explained it would be a few moments as the burger was a half pounder. When it arrived, I was happy to see that it was still served on a loaf of bread and not the old style hamburger bun. The burger was very good, the service was excellent. Not a fan anymore I think they call them selves italian food but then serve taco specials sometimes. Went for dinner with the hubby and the side pasta was way mushy and over cooked. My husbands food was absoultely cold in the middle gross! Then gave them another try and went for lunch with a friend. She said her lasagne wasnt hot and I ordered a chicken parm sanwich it was nothing close to a real italian chicken parm. "grilled chicken" which tasted like sams club pre-cooked chicken. Bosco's seems to have a love or hate relationship with Casper residents. I have been on the fence for over two decades as I like it, but don't love it & there's things I dislike, but wouldn't go as far as say hate. I eat there 6-9 times a year, usually with one other guest. I don't care for the lunch menu and usually order dinner items. All the dinner portions are generous and all seem to come with a side of spaghetti and marinara. The soup or salad course is almost always disappointing. The soups always sounds good, but depth of flavor is just not there most of the time. The little dinner salads are near frozen and characterless. The entrees are where they shine. The gnocchi is great, veal anything is great, and manicotti add Italian sausage is to die for. I try not to dine to much in the winter as the front door location with no breezeway is always freezing out customers. I once had to keep my parka on the whole meal. The soda glasses are tiny and overfilled with ice, so I always feel embarrassed to flag down servers to get another 4oz refill at a time. Service is generally above acceptable, but getting the check always seems to take some time. The atmosphere is tight and if it's busy, you'll be overhearing two to three conversations right next to you. Overall I really like the place. It just has quirks that might bother me and not you, so I do recommend them. read more

NO where on the online menus does it say that togo orders will have an up-charge just because it's togo. Two entree meals and two cheese cakes was $65, $10-12 of that being the 20% gratuity. This place is awesome. I am from the East and I was convinced that you cannot get good Italian in the west. I was wrong. This place is just like the family restaurants I grew up on at home. I was going to go with my staple and try out the chicken parm. My waitress suggested I try the pear and ricotta ravioli with a pistachio sauce. I was reluctant but I took her advice. This was awesome!!! The pasta is made fresh and the flavor was unreal. The bread was fresh and the salad was crisp. I felt like I was back in my childhood only thing missing was my Ma yelling at me from the kitchen to finish my homework. I will be going back to this place every time I am in town. First class service. We have dogs, so we sat outside. The owner came out to greet us, she rolled out the awning and made sure our dogs had treats and water. I had the lasagna and my husband had the sausage and spaghetti. We are from New York, so we are use to garlic in our Italian food. This town's obsession with tomato sauce that comes out of cans, bothers me. I've made better tomato sauce using Campbell's soup and garlic. Pasta's are typically over cooked, and mushy - I'm guessing that's how most of the graying, clientele like it. I've had Veal Picatta that was just greasy and floating around on the plate from oils... The best part of this restaurant (other than it's locally owned in a shit hole that's smashed with major chains, which is why I gave it a second star) is the ambience... I really like the place... This is my favorite restaurant in Casper. Whenever my boyfriend takes me out for a nice dinner, he knows without asking that this is where I want to go. There's always a wait when we go (usually between 7 and 8), but it actually only ever takes a few minutes for them to seat us. The atmosphere is AWESOME. I can't believe we have such a place here in Wyoming. The kitchen window faces into one side of the dining area, which I like because it makes the restaurant feel just a little more real and personal. I like to get the Italian sodas to drink (they are actually Italian cream sodas). They are REALLY good. One of those drinks you can't get yourself to stop drinking once you start. The appetizers are unimpressive. They are frozen food style, although I don't know if they are actually frozen food. They have mozzarella sticks, which they fry perfectly (crispy outside shell, hot gooey mess inside) and serve with ranch and marinara (I recommend dipping in both at once). We got the fried ravioli once, and those were strange. They're filled with jalapeno cheddar, like something from TGI Fridays. The cheese bread is not worth eating, in my opinion. As for entrees, they are much better. I like the cheese ravioli. Despite what some reviewers have said, they taste nothing like what you could buy at a store. I would know because I practically live off of cheese ravioli, and so I am very familiar with the grocery store version. First of all, the cheese (and I am also pretty well-versed in cheese) actually has different layers of flavor to it. There are subleties. Second of all, the sauce is awesome. I HATE canned or jarred pasta sauce. It never tastes the way it should, I think because of the ridiculous amounts of sugar and lack of quality spices. Anyway, Bosco's sauce is very obviously fresh if you are a fan of raw tomatoes. There is a very particular acidity to it that only fresh tomatoes have. Not everyone will appreciate this flavor. Finally, my pasta has always been cooked perfectly every time. Never mushy! Now, onto my personal favorite: dessert. The lemon cheesecake is absolutely to die for. They say it is lemon cake, but it is definitely cheesecake. The actual cheesecake itself is lemon flavored. Then there are bits of gooey lemon filling randomly strewn through. The best part, though, is the just slightly sour lemon sugar crystal stuff they coat the top with. Damn. We have also tried the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake. It is also really good, though not as good as the lemon. It was too decadent and sweet for me to finish. It has a cookie crust, which I thought was a nice touch. Personally, I think this is easily the best restaurant I have been to in Casper, and it is definitely the best Italian option. Absolutely recommend. read more

Went with a bunch of friends. We have the appetizers where you choose 3 things. They were okay but seemed like they came from a frozen package. The salads were pretty good and came on a chilled plate. They had beer cheese soup. That was just okay I have had much better recently. The entrees were great I had veal parm very good and quanity was nice. my husband had veal marsala (very good but his food came out cold). One friend had seafood diablo I didn't get to taste his I was busy with mine! I did try my friends veal picata which had way to many capers for me (I like capers in it and all but it was like an entire jar was on the plate lol he she liked it that is all that counts). We tried bananas foster cheese cake and choc lava cake.....yummo! It was a pricey dinner not something we can go out an do all the time (espeically after 3 bottles of wine!) but I will def go back! Great place to go for lunch. I've stopped in there several times to have the baked lasagna for lunch and have enjoyed it every time. Nice little family type restaurant located just outside the downtown area. They have a great variety of food available for lunch and a more traditional dinner menu. A great little spot... kind of cozy and looks like it could fill up quick on a Friday night... if I had more time in town I would head back... really enjoyed the build your own Fettuccine Alfredo... had chicken, artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes. My girlfriend and I loved the ambiance. The restaurant really has the feel like you are invited into the home of an Italian family. The food was definitely homemade which was a plus, but didn't feel like it was bursting with flavor. It could have used more salt, garlic, basil, etc etc etc. I don't want to give it a poor review because it was a great experience, but the house Italian dressing was rather bland and more like just vinegar. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was underwhelming.
