Very busy! Parking is hard to get along the store area. Today I had my flasher on to indicate I was turning to park into a spot, there was a car trying to back up. The Avenue is a very cute outlet "mall". While there aren't a ton of clothing and shoe shops, there are a lot of personal service and unique food options. I've frequented the area for quite a few years and can say they the businesses that lease here change fairly often. Shopping choices do seem to be catered to a certain [middle age] crowd. The outside lawn area is a really good spot to hang with family and friends; during the warmer seasons they'll have swinging benches and a nighttime concert series with live bands. During the colder seasons, they transform the area into an ice skating rink. If you like farmers/flea markets, stop by early fall mornings - lots of good vendors for jams, candles, pet goods, etc. Lately they have been enforcing the chaperone/minor curfew policy. I think it helps keep the vibe family friendly and makes the place feel secure. read more

The inside of this location was really cool because of the decor that paid homage to the firehouse. The outside patio was nice and would be nicer with the winter and having the skating rink there. When the hostess asked where we wanted to sit, we said outside. When she asked if we wanted a high top or a low table, we said low table (thinking it was just a regular table). Instead, we were sitting at the very low fire table. The fire wasn't on because it was warm outside so we had plenty of room for our food but if we did have the fire on, we would only be able to fit our appetizer plate. The appetizer (spinach artichoke dip) was hot, cheesy and delicious. The undersides of the pita were more burnt so I didn't like the way they tasted. The fries ere delicious as is. The side caesar salad was good except for the Parmesan shavings being way too big. I like big chunks of Parmesan but this was too much with the big lettuce pieces. This side salad was just difficult to eat, though delicious. The salmon was good but I wish it had more garlic butter. The broccoli was too mushy for me; I like my veggies on the crunchier side when you steam them. The wild rice needed salt. Mind you, we didn't have salt and pepper shakers at the fire table but I'm sure we could have asked. My boyfriend's steak was cooked to the temperature he liked and he said the mashed potatoes were good. Overall, it was a good place to eat. I would come back again and sit at a different table unless I just wanted drinks and apps. read more

The Avenue has been upgraded in the last 10 months and it's so wonderful!!! Before it wasn't run down but didn't have as many aesthetically pleasing areas but they have turned that around. The have fake grass, beautiful sitting areas, different trees and plants around...it's just so beautiful! They have things to do for every age group! You can ice skate (turning the winter time), have a picnic, run in the grassy area, take a seat and just people watch...there is just so many options. Oh and before I forget, if you still play Pokémon go...there are a lot of Pokémon to catch! (My brother was super excited about that!!) I really think the way they have laid the new areas out you could even have a outside date as a couple! Go to the turf or even catch the swing and just love away at your partner hehehe. This area has different food places to enjoy different cuisines, there is a movie theater and there are different shops to visit as well! You could grab a book from Barnes and nobles, then grab a coffee from Starbucks then take a rest in one of the benches and have some fresh air! They have parking that are close to the front of the buildings but since there aren't a whole bunch you can also park on either sides of the back of the buildings as well! Every time I come since it's been renovated, I have notice they have security around pretty often which can be good to deter certain activities. You want a beautiful adventure?? Great place to spend a few hours with the family, friends or even on a date. Technically it's a shopping center, but there are areas designated as picnic or outdoor areas for you to chill and hang out. During summer, they host outdoor activities and games. During winter they have an ice skating rink with fair prices for the whole family. With coffee shops, restaurants, a movie theater, retail stores and activities, you honestly can't go wrong. This is my personal favorite. They really did a great job with the layout and the artwork. There are so many stores from AC Moore, Barnes and Nobles and Pier One to name a few. AMC Theatre is there along with a really cute ice rink that they just erected. It's a great place for families. They also have a few newer restaurants that opened. I only tried the Oyster House but they have Wayward Smokehouse and Akira that looks enticing. There is plenty of parking and the security is present at this location which is nice because White Marsh mall is across the street. The Avenue is a great place to hangout and spend the day. read more

I like the whole outdoor shopping mall thing. And I'll usually stop here along my trip from DC to Philly. It has a close location to 95 but the only drawback is the horrible traffic in this area. Ohhhh the upgrade is amazing!!!!! Bring families together! ‍‍‍Nice atmosphere for couples, teenagers, older couples, everyone can enjoy! We arrived way to early for our movie and stores were closed. Thank God they upgraded, or we would have been going home. husband and I sat on the swing together ! Got nice photo on the swing! Kids played on the foosball table and was playing on the green turf. Back during my college days, going to The Avenue at White Marsh was the hotness. It was the pinnacle of suburban coolness. You got your shops, you got your restaurants, you got your multiplex, you got your ice creamery. You got your hotness, that's what you got. We used to go here all the time to see movies since the theater in Towson was kinda gross and overcrowded. The Avenue has one of those huge fancy Loews theaters with televisions in the lobby that play movie trailers and music videos, so you can watch some free entertainment before your paid entertainment. We'd also bide our time in the Barnes & Noble or Old Navy. If the weather was nice, we'd take a stroll along the quaint little Main Street or just sit outside on the fountain and people-watch. And yes, there were always plenty of people to watch. Mostly teenagers and other college students. We didn't really want to be associated with the teens since they were loud and obnoxious, but then again, we may have been too (although I sincerely doubt it - we were cool, dammit!) As shopping centers go, The Avenue is pretty nice. Not just your typical, boring strip mall but a completely manufactured and highly glossed up version of suburban Americana. My family loves The Avenue. My kids love throwing all of my coins in the fountain and all of my bills in the guitar player's case. There's a ton of restaurants with just about any cuisine you can think of. There's cajun, mexican, italian, japanese steak house, good ole american, a microbrew, a barnes and noble, two starbucks, multiplex, and various retail stores. You can really spend a whole day on the one "street". Make sure you stop at the New Balance store for good walking shoes. read more

The Avenue At White Marsh is a step up from what it use to be. I remember as a child going to the mall and it over time becoming outdated. The Avenue must be about 10 years old and it has developed nicely with a slew of shops, movie theater, and restaurants. I dig the outdoors so shopping while being outside is a perk, I think it gives a better meaning to the term "window shopping". I mean really windows/store fronts inside a building just lacks the full appeal of the term. The Avenue is clean and has ample parking. I like that there are benches to sit outside and flowers to spruce the outside area up. I noticed the last time I was there that they play music on the speaker systems near the larger restaurants, which adds to the outdoor shopping experience. This is a great place to go on a date you can grab dinner and a movie in one trip while taking a nice stroll past all the shops. I like this place, but I'm just a big fan of outdoor shopping areas in general. It has restaurants, shops, and a movie theater. The movie theater at The Avenue is decent, no Harbor East, but decent. The shops are chains. It's nice to go to the movies and pick up drinks after, or do the dinner and a movie date. I am.....movie theater, restaurants with bars, and an ice cream shop? Beautiful and busy place. Has some good stores, location is convenient, and the place looks clean. Has restaurants, a book store, and a movie theater. One could easily spend an entire day here just exploring these places while enjoying oneself. Parking is definitely hard to find closer to the stores but there are big front and back parking lots. I love going to the Avenue on a nice day/night. It is definitely better than walking around inside a crowded mall! There are a few nice restaurants and I love that some of them have outside seating. I love Red Brick Station. The downsides to the Avenue would be that there really aren't that many stores. And the movie theater brings out lots of teens. If you go here in the winter, it is not fun at all because you have to walk around outside to get to each store... But go in nice weather, sit outside to eat, and you'll have a great time! read more

This area was so well done! There is a great selection of stores and food places here. But most impressive is the outside area that in the summer has a grassy section with lounge chairs and swings. They have bean bag toss and a large checker board and connect four games. Then in the winter this place turns magical! They transform it to an ice rink with really affordable pricing! The place is decorated with beautiful lights and has music playing from the speakers making it so festive! The outdoor fireplaces are amazing. Love spending time here. So Mr. Landlord the malls of the 80s are dead and we built new malls in the 90s that were multi-story and much better with higher draws in the anchor stores category. The Strip malls and waaaay out of date and we are looking for something new. Behold: The Avenue at White Marsh. "The Good" - Before I forget, just go at Christmas, or in December for those that do not celebrate. Its just plain cool. The lights are up the snow is cleared from the walking paths the fountain becomes a tree holder and its a decent way to just walk down an old Main Street when there is not an old Main Street in the area. - They have some decent bars including Red Brick and The Kilt (see separate reviews) and some date spots like Della Rose's and Kobe Steakhouse. - A movie theater where you can see some great flicks in a decent setting with comfortable seats that have a great sound system. - Omaha Steaks - If you love somebody... If you love someone, send them steaks [send send, send them steaks] This place always has specials that should be taken complete advantage of and appreciated. - Barnes and Noble for the coffee drinking book reading among us. - Facebook page, yeah they have one... use it to see what special events are coming up. - Some serious "serious" - A Farmers Market in the summer months. This is not just for yuppies anymore... Go get some local food and support (small) local farms by enjoying some homegrown veggies, fruits and flowers and some breads and honey among other cool items. - I know its Cold Stone, and they have Lt. Dan Ice Cream, but I cannot help but give Good 'Old JR his due by always calling it, Stone Cold, Stone Cold, Stone Cold... Google it, or go to You Tube, its stupid funny :) "The Meh" - The parking can get bad. Ahhh forget it, I'll save it for below. - Random entrances can be confusing for the first time visitor... The front of the Avenue is really the rear end of the stores, so it can be kinda confusing. Just keep walking until you find a break in between the stores and head up you will be fine. "The Bad" - The parking can get really bad. In the winter, during holidays, or busy shopping seasons, the place fills to where they use overflow in the back and actually park on the street. So if you do park there please be careful, you always hear brakes screeching which is not a good thought for the pedestrians crossing the street. read more

I love to come here as often as I can! There are many things to do- such as eat, shop, and ice skate. There are both sit down restaurants- such as Chili's- and places like All About Burger (previously known as Z-Burger) where you can either take out or casually eat. The stores range from beauty (Ulta) to books (Barnes & Noble). I highly recommend coming here, whether you're shopping for the holidays or shopping just to do it. Go for Pokemon Go, stay for the stores. My favorites are Hallmark, Carter's, Ulta, Coldstone Creamery, and the pizza place. There have been several times when I needed to pick up a card or gift for someone and I came here when I could have gone elsewhere just so that I could also Pokemon while I shop. Fellow trainers, this is a great spot to use a lucky egg -- double the XP for evolutions and a great way to level up quickly. You'll also hatch your eggs more quickly because of all the walking you'll do. They're also renovating and revamping so it'll be exciting to see the new look. We love the Avenue and visit it often, mostly because of Red Brick Station, which has great micro brews and very good food. Theaters are fine and there are many shops that we like (Ulta, Yankee Candle, etc.). BUT...be aware that that on Saturday evenings, this place is crawling with teens, many of whom have taken the MTA, which stops right across the street at White Marsh Mall. Lots of undesirables --- loud, rude, and some VERY unsavory language. We never go on Saturday nights, which is a shame, but I detest disrespectful people. read more

great place to walk around on a nice day out! it has a nice variety of shops to browse and restaurants. i like to venture out here on my days off to grab some coffee and then walk around the stores. on friday nights and weekends though - every single restaurant has an extremely long wait, the parking lot is crowded, and you're walking shoulder to shoulder on the sidewalks. your crowd ranges from tweens decked out in their super short mini skirts and stilettos to families with children. they hold events and concerts so people can just hang out. read more

This is a pleasant addition to the White Marsh Mall, right across the street. The Avenue is two-city-block-long 'Main Street'-type area of shops and restaurants not found in the mall. It's mostly made up of larger or newer places and includes a Loew's movie theater. Parking can be a bit difficult at high periods - unless you walk from the plentiful parking at the mall across the four-lane road - but it's otherwise a nice outdoor shopping and dining area. read more

Last Thursday I walked over to the avenue from near by Burger King with my lunch. I was immediately told not to come back with food that was not purchased at the avenue. This was a Thursday afternoon, and there was no event occurring at the time. I can't believe this! The Burger King is very close to the avenue and I would not expect this problem no matter where my lunch came from. VERY DISAPPOINTED in this action!!! I will now make sure I support any store that does not belong to this elitist avenue!!! read more

The Avenue is a nice place close to White Marsh mall to stroll on a nice day, or enjoy many of the indoor establishments when the weather isn't so great. There are several restaurants, Starbucks and stores worth a visit. There's also an AMC movie theatre and an ice skating rink in the winter. In the summer there's a large grassed area instead of the ice rink where kids can run around and play and there are swings and chairs to sit and relax. Very nice!
