Today my wife daughter and myself were shopping at this location. My wife decided to go upstairs and find some clothing for our children while I looked for a place to pay for my items. The spot that says customer check out had two ladies in line checking out so I walked over to the perfume section and asked the lady if she could ring me up because their was nobody at all at her register. All I had was two shirts and two pairs of pants. The woman takes a tone with me and says um no you can go over their and then had a sideways look for me like I was disrespectful for even asking then apologized to the lady that was just looking at items. It's been over 5 years since I have shopped at this location and was truthfully lost I just wanted to find my wife and daughter and not make them wait for me. My advice is if you don't want to serve the public if you can't say sorry you should reconsider where you work. You shouldn't make someone feel like a a$$ hole for asking if you could ring them up. The woman truthfully sucks at her job and was already defeated by the public by noon. I asked Kindly I even said mam could you please help me. And to be responded to like that is less than what anyone deserves. What a mean woman she truly is. read more

You get 4 stars for super bargains galore! Deals of all kinds. Various pricepoints. Diverse styles. You lost a point for having so few dressing rooms open in ladies' clothing. Registers were also few and far between--open ones, that is. Trying on clothing all the way across the room in women's lingerie is a chore. It probably aggravates numerous customers who just set clothing down willy-nilly and leave. I think you lose customers. The customer service lady in lingerie was so nice and helpful. We felt badly for the messes others left her in the dressing room and vicinity. She deals with customers from juniors, misses, and women's sportswear departments who chunk their junk clothing anywhere. There is no rack for unwanted items. Boscov's, do a better job and you'll have happy employees and customers! I love Boscov's! read more

Came to exchange a gift we already had for some else with the gift receipt our friend gave us with the gift and associate processed it as a return to our friends credit card then told us there was nothing she or the manager could do to correct her mistake. No apology for her error but told us to "just tell our friend to give us the cash"! Did not and will not buy anything else here. At least online transactions do not come with attitude from the employee. read more

WARNING!!!! Don't get Boscov's credit card!!! We got on when we bought a couch in January to save $100. It's not worth the hassle. When we got the bill we sent a check for the total amount on Feb 2nd. ( it wasn't due until Feb 14). We get another bill in March for $45 late fee. We sent the check two weeks early!! They removed the charge after a 45 minute phone call. I told the rep I was canceling the card. Today I get another bill for $9.76! What is going on with them????? read more

Boscov's is a decent department store. The prices are fair and the selection is good. It is kind of like a Macy's except with better pricing. My wife is a fan of the candy counter and the chocolate dipped pretzels are pretty amazing. Service is very good in the store from my experience. read more

I was able to find some good deals in the home section, which will make for great gifts later on in the year. Please seriously consider hiring Rose from BonTon. She is so wonderful. I took my mother, who has fibromyalgia, to purchase a bra. My mother said this is the best bra fit I have ever had. Rose selected a bra that was soft and non-binding. I would hate to lose going to her, ow that BonTon is going out of business. She is someone I can trust and is so helpful. read more

My wife and I shopped here over the weekend and I was very impressed. I would go as far as to say it is one of York's best kept secrets. One of the best parts about Boscov's is that it's not overly flashy and modern. Frankly, it hasn't really changed much in a long time, and I consider that a good thing. The registers are still the same old things they have had for years, but hey, they work! The employees are generally pretty pleasant, the prices are good, and there are always good sales. Even though the store looks the same, their products are modern and relevant, of course. It's a nice place to shop and it isn't super crazy busy. read more

I've loved this department store ever since I lived in PA. Even moving to Phoenix has not deterred my shopping as they have an online presence now! They always seem to have something I need (or think I need). Their shoes sales are fantastic with buy one get one half off. They carry many brands, from lower end to high end. This is always one spot I must visit during my trips back home. read more
