We stopped by this mall while killing time before checking into our hotel. I was a little nervous it might be empty or run down, but I was pleasantly surprised. There were still plenty of well-known chain stores, and the mall felt lively. It was an easy, comfortable walk around, and everyone in our group was able to find something they were interested in. In a climate where malls seem to be quietly dying, Capital City has been holding it's own. Not a ton of empty spaces, infrastructure is in pretty good shape, & a decent mix of stores. Good old fashioned Cap City. It's a mall. What do you expect? Pretty nice food court and a wide selection of stores. The mall does open early to utilize for walking. However, if you're under 80, you'll be the youngest person there by decades. I've walked a few times over the winter when it was just too cold to go outside. read more

Unarguably the best mall in the Harrisburg area. I mean, the east shore malls are either dumpy or closed down. This mall is medium size, not overwhelming like some of the bigger malls. My favorite stops are Dave & Busters, Bonchon, H & M, Boba Cha, and Dick's Sporting Goods. There are also lots of nice sit down restaurants sharing the same mall parking lot: Primanti Bros, Outback Steakhouse, Blaze Pizza, and the most recent and hip addition - Asoul Ramen. read more

Decent mall in Capital Hill, Pennsylvania. My husband and I were looking to fill some time before settling in for the night the day before going to Hersheypark. This mall has a lot of store chose from, a nice selection of grub in the food court, and if you are the mall walker type there is a clear flow of traffic as well as having plenty of space to walk. I personally have a few stores that I can never resist in a mall and this particular mall had all my favorites. Torrid is always a must stop as a plus sized lady, although I usually just try stuff on in store, wishlist the items in the app, and wait for a sale. Boxlunch is another must stop. They are owned by the same company as Hot Topic and it honestly shows. I love Bob's Burgers, so I typically rely on Boxlunch to provide me with unique to my friend group merchandise for our favorite show. I obviously also visit Hot Topic but it just isn't the same as it was in the early 2000s. If you enjoy a good mall, this mall will fill your need. read more

I hate the mall, so there's no way it could get 5 stars. This mall isn't bad for Sleepy Hollow and about as good as could be expected in this area. Park City and King of Prussia are way better, just too far away for the sake of convenience. There are the usual stores you'd expect, nothing more. They've improved over the past few years bringing in some new businesses on pad sites in the parking lot and even added a nice liquor store. The food court isn't bad, but the prices at these places are high since they have a mall-sized rent to pay. Hopefully all businesses here survive the pandemic and continue to operate once this craziness gets under control. read more

capital city mall has good people to work with but not everyones management skills are great like for example janitorial the manger of housekeeping is so bad nobody sees the person doing nothin. not even outside of the office. keeps losing employees like the company for the janitorial is SMS they will do that two face crap in front you like they like your work or availability but they will take advantage of certain people and let them go for the wrong reasons. it has to be a good reason not no petty reason and if someone is working in a public place and they doing housekeeping or whatever and a customer ask a housekeeper a question that's custOmer service any job that deals with the public is a customer service period read more

DO NOT GET YOUR PHONE REPAIRED HERE. Went to the My Cellphone Repairs to get my cracked screen fixed. There were no other issues, just a small crack. Sign said quick repairs for most devices, so I assumed it would be fine. Got told it would take them 45 minutes to an hour and would cost $90. Fine, I thought, might as well get lunch. Hour later, I came back. They told me every screen they installed was defective. Happens, can't fault them. They didn't charge, and gave my phone back. I immediately noticed my phone was acting off. There was a dark splotch on the bottom of the screen that didn't go away. It seemed to have issues charging as well, and there were now random dead spots on the touch screen. After a few hours, my phone's screen is dead. I can feel vibrations, but nothing is responsive. I'm impressed how they could botch a simple screen repair so hard that it killed my phone. Honestly, this mall was quite the blur for me. One of my last stops while I was out doing the holiday shopping rounds. I honestly felt like I was a zombie walking through here. Probably why I don't remember what stores I stopped in, asides from the ones that I checked into. What I do remember was being impressed that this is a thriving mall, which is a rarity anymore. I do not recall seeing an empty storefront which was nice. Tons of people everywhere. It was a nice walk around the mall. It was bright and clean and looked fairly modern. Parking wasn't too bad of a problem which was nice. Maybe the next time that I am in the area I won't feel too rushed, or too much in a haze to remember more about this place. read more

This mall is a good mall. It has a good selection of the stores that I like to shop at. Only thing that's annoying is those people that sit in the middle areas of the mall when walking past all the stores. Especially the ones trying to sell those shoe cleaning products. They're extremely annoying. You tell them no you don't wanna buy something and they keep pursuing you. read more

I have loved going to this mall since I started going to school here in 2016 and recently moved to the area in August of 2021. They have so many stores and the variety does not overwhelm you. There's even a food court with diverse options to fulfill any cravings. It's tempting not to buy things when you spend time in this mall, and many of the employees that I have come across have been very friendly. read more

I grew up going to this mall. Every space is occupied by a store. It's a one story mall, but there are so many great stores. Having a Dick's sporting goods on one end and a Macy's on the other is great. A lot of good food options in the food court. Super clean and great staff everywhere. read more

This store scams you when you buy steam PC Cards, or other gift cards, they won't refund their wrong doing nor will they be open to fixing it. I won't EVER shop at a game stop ever again and I highly recommend using Amazon or Walmart over Game stop. What a disgrace for a video game store. By the way the store was dirty and unorganized and the idiotic idiot that works there is as useful as a Cracker Jack box once it's empty. This place never ceases to amaze me. Almost every time I'm there, I experience a different form of micro aggression. A few months back, I was there, making a perfume purchase, and the sales associate took it upon herself to loudly announce the price of it as if I couldn't afford it. Yesterday I had the please of another incident. This associate compared me to an actress who shares not one similarity with me, other than race. Too much.. while in the store, I called and requested to see the manager. The last time we were here was December 2018. I am not a shopper but we wanted to walk around a little. Christmas decorations were still up and it looked like Santa had a great place to entertain the young and young at heart. Most stores weren't open when we arrived so it was nice to just walk around without too many people. There were a lot of sale signs and as the stores opened people were taking advantage of the sales! Compared to the malls on the East Shore, this is the best of the bunch in the area. The allure of walking aimlessly around the mall stopped for me once I graduated high school, so my time spent here is only when I have a particular destination in mind, like my yearly jewelry inspection, picking up something from one of the anchoring stores (Macy's, Sears, or J C Penneys), you get the picture. I'd suggest if you're over the age of 18 you have the same mindset or else prepare to deal with the typical teen crowds after school and on weekends. As far as small malls go in small suburbanish areas, this one is shockingly good. It does have all the major stores that I hit frequently. As far as specialty stores go, go elsewhere... About 40 to 90 minutes elsewhere (Lancaster or King of Prussia). This mall has all the stores most people frequently shop at. It's got all the basics. The food court has decent variety such as a custom salad bar, sushi bar and a Starbucks. The mall also has a winery kiosk that offers free tastings. In my opinion, the mall management needs to change things up. This mall has so many possibilities. Two Gamestops in one tiny mall is ridiculous. Also, there are several badly distributed parcels (bath and body works has 2 large parcels). From a property management stand point, this mall has great potential and in time it may get there. From a consumer stand point, this mall gets the job done. It's clean, safe, no trashy mall rats and it has distance markers so you can walk a mile in it. read more

Not much going on here. The Macy's has all departments smashed together on one floor. Not much selections in each department. The only Sephora available is in JC Penny's. It's a good place for teen age shopping but not much else. Seek out better shopping elsewhere. read more

This is your average small mall. Very typical and nothing special. There are some decent stores here. Old Navy, Children's Place, and Gamestop to name a few. But over the years they have lost many decent stores. Toys R Us and the Disney Store were big plusses for our family. Since they are gone, we typically just go to the Harrisburg Mall. read more

This mall is the best one in the area, but that's not saying much. It's always pretty clean, however it needs more garbage cans throughout the corridors. The food court is decent. The security and maintenance people seems to be on top of things. Most of the stores are ones you'd find in any other mall, so if you want up-scale or unique stores, drive to King Of Prussia. There are also a few doubles. Game Stop has 2 stores as well as Hallmark. The mall isn't really big enough to justify having two of any store. read more

Recently went to this mall with my family. It was during the afternoon on a weekday so it was pretty dead and quiet. Typical mall stores. Each I went into was clean. Had lunch at the food court. Clean dining area which is a plus. Not a ton of options though...like 3 Asian places if you need your daily sodium intake instantly. The mall is pretty small so it didn't take long to go from end to end. The York Galleria is closer to me and has two floors, but these two malls pretty much have the same kinda stores.
