Large Spicy Trifecta - huge portion of delicious food
Michele B.

Au Jus has been on my list to try for a while- we're just never in that part of town. The owner is active on the All Things Food FB page and posts a lot of creative meals. Looks mouth-watering. We stopped in a couple weeks ago and the front area was packed with happy diners and people waiting for food. I entirely intended on getting an Italian Beef, but they have a Cuban and I can't resist so.... Our food was hot and fresh ready in an appropriate amount of time. What I mean by that is- nothing seemed microwaved or prepped too early or stale bread, soggy toppings. Nope. They don't cut corners here. Everything is fresh sliced and top quality ingredients. Now, my Cuban. I love a Cuban, but I have no idea what an authentic Cuban sandwich is supposed to taste like. I imagine this is the closest, because this was the best I have ever had. I don't make proclamations like that very often. The roast pork was out of this world. So much flavor and thoughtfulness. Not too overpowering, but offered hints of spice and citrus. Total perfection. Slathered with ham, pickles, melty Swiss cheese.... Yum. The bread was a little large or under filled for the sandwich, but the sub roll was tasty and toasty. I didn't mind having a few bites of just bread so I could try the au jus that came with husbands sandwich. I absolutely loved this sandwich and have been thinking about it since. Husband had the large Italian Beef and was shocked it fit his ample appetite. So delicious, with or without the jus. This meal was worth every cents high-quality ingredients, a creative and skilled chef, hard-working employees make this my favorite recent discovery. Do yourself a favor and stop by

Wow, this is a first. Came in to try a third time. Guy asked if I had previously been there and was I a Yelp Elite? I told him I had been and am a Yelp Elite. He said he knew I left him multiple bad reviews and asked me to leave. He must have my Yelp picture up on a dart board in back. I felt like I was in an episode of Seinfeld "NO SOUP FOR YOU!" Didn't know 3 star reviews with constructive criticism were deal killers. Oh well. Went down to Corleone's and had a fantastic lunch! On our way home I stopped at GFS and bought Ditka's Italian Beef, then Heinens for Giardiniera and a freshly backed French roll.. Looking forward to a better dinner than I could ever get at this place for a fraction of the price!

The sandwiches were so delicious we devoured them before I could take pictures! Fresh bread, absolutely fantastic roasted beef. Service with a smile. The cold Italian was made to specifications. The kitchen was the cleanest id ever seen!! I did take pics of the immaculate kitchen before I left...these were taken in the middle of the day!

Best beef sandwich EVER!! Better than Chicago ;) Inside it's a very simple ordering area with a couple of high top chairs similar to a pizza shop. The staff is always eager to serve up amazing food and they really load those beefers up! Fresh melt in your mouth beef, incredible homemade au jus.... the fries are perfect too! Go get some!!

I have been here only a couple of times, but each time the staff was very nice and the food was good. You get a big portion for the price. You are able to sit inside, but its very small. I know their corned beef was just for St Paddy's Day, but it was fantastic. I recommend checking them out.

Now let me start with I am a Chicago native and I know my Italian Beefs! These are very high quality beef with little to NO fat. Spices were spot on. So hard if not close to impossible to find an authentic Chicago style beef here in the Cleveland area but they nailed it. Friendly service that also offers some counter top space to dine in.

After hearing how great this place is I finally tried it. It was around 9pm and this place was still open. I was still hungry after a yelp event and decided to drive and try this place. The whole experience didn't disappoint. I ordered online from the parking lot right in front of the place and went right in. The people behind the counter were super friendly and made the wait for my order go quickly. It's not really a place to eat food so took my food and we ate in the car. I got the Cuban sandwich and onion rings (which you can order extra crispy). The first look at the sandwich my heart dropped cause I couldn't see anything like meat in it. But upon taking a bite I did find the meat. It was tasty and I did enjoy it so much I ate the whole thing, and it's a huge sandwich. The onion rings were wonderful. They use a thin batter so the rings aren't as heavy as most places but still taste great. Plus they were nice and crispy. My mom got the philly sandwich with peppers added for an additional fee. She really enjoyed her sandwich too. I tried a bite and will probably get that next time. The food was excellent and I'll gladly br going back for more.

Pickle chips - watched him batter and fry them. We asked for extra crispy! So good! Nice and thin.

The food is delicious and fresh! The place is clean and the owner Is really nice! He chatted with us as he made the fresh battered pickle chips and onion rings. I loved everything we got!

What a coincidence I just finished binging The Bear (loved the show) then this place opens up near my house! FYI ordered my food to go so fries and onion rings were soggy when I got home and man did my car smell like grease during that ride. Ordered the famed Italian beef with au jus on the side. When I unwrapped sandwich didn't looks like enough meat but each bite was tasted like it was enough. Flavor definitely enhanced with the dipping sauce. Don't skip out on that! I wouldn't say it's better than in Chicago, but still quite tasty. Also ordered pressed Philly sandwich. Bread was fresh and nice complement. Didn't look like large service but I was definitely full at the end. Good quality beef but maybe would have been better with more mayo. Lots of other items I'm curious to try. I'll be back for you all

I really like this place! Big, messy (in the right way) Italian beef sandwiches. Super-nice people. If you're close by, go!

I just tried the Cuban Sandwich. I'm from Miami and it's the best I've found in Cleveland.

The main dish differs from chicken Parmesan or a veal, but the sides are always their green beans which are fantastic... A side of pasta with a large meatball and a side salad. I personally really liked their marinara sauce and I definitely would've gone back for seconds if that was an option. The people that serve here are always friendly and very attentive and that's gotta be tough because I think there were only three or maybe four servers and it's a large group of people probably 65 or more. After dinner, they always have a nice selection of desserts to try. I think I'd like to definitely come here on more of a personal setting and not a work function, but I still do like this place. The parking lot is huge and easy to get in and out of for the most part.

The beef tenderloin was tender and delicious. The funghetto is in a sauce with tomatoes and herbs on top of the tenderloin. I had the house salad with traditional dressing of oil and vinegar. I would only advise with the crunchy bread to be a little more generous. With three small pieces my friend knows I want more than two so she gets a little upset when I take two. I did ask for more bread though and Matteo brought it. Thank you Matteo! Our server, Alecia, was absolutely top tier! She was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Via Roma. I had originally looked over the menu online, but thanks to her salesmanship, we completely changed course and I'm soooo glad we did! She recommended the fritto misto to start, which was phenomenal. The house-made focaccia bread was perfectly baked and full of flavor. My dad, visiting from California, ordered the veal tortellini which was super flavorful and honestly something I would've ordered myself. I went with the Parmigiano with chicken, which was to die for! The chicken was perfectly breaded and bursting with flavor. My son had the braised short ribs, and the creamy polenta they came with was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted! I literally couldn't resist stealing bites!
