Zero star please ! Not satisfied and very disgusted because the reviews and photos posted here on yelp was very inspiring and I really had my expectations up there. Amanda was the tech. Thumb wasn't straight at all even when I asked and told her to file it straight because from my point of view it was still crooked. The beautiful first picture was the inspiration shape I was going for and the second photo was what I ended up with regardless of me asking to fix it. Very disappointed. Will never be coming back.

Genny is truly a boss. I give her a general idea of what I want and let her do her thing; I'm never disappointed! The shop is laid-back and pretty hip, which I prefer. Haven't had a single nail chip or break, and I always get tons of compliments. This is officially my spot now.

Like shopping on Wish! Except I paid way more.

TLDR: I wish I would have walked out, my nails look cheap and I am extremely disappointed. I paid $120(including tip) for my nails and I really wish I hadn't. I wish I had walked out. Appointment was late, I had to wait. Amanda, my nail tech, looked tired and disheveled and had an awful attitude. Hair a mess, missing a nail, and complaining about her work environment. At one point her negativity went so far as to say she would "kill herself" if forced to listen to the type of music playing(I liked the music, it may be the ONLY thing I liked). I don't know if it was supposed to be funny or what but as a suicide survivor it's not a joke to me. Amanda maybe looked at my reference pic twice. She just did her own thing. She obviously didn't want to be there (especially since I found out I was her last appointment on her Friday) but don't give your paying customers 30% effort when they are 100% paying. She filed my real nails with the efile, which no one has ever done before. It hurt like hell. Then came the nail solution with freaking alcohol in it which burned like hellfire. Again, I should have left, I know, but I struggle with social situations and conflict. My nails have bumps and edges unfinished and the "stars" look like my little cousin did them. I canceled my return appointment. Photos posted.

Gigi is amazing!! I got SO MANY compliments on my nails, and they last really well!! Not only was the quality of product amazing, but she encouraged me to bring my 2 year old son with me, and she had toys for him to play with and made me feel like we were friends hanging out on a play date while I also got my nails done! The custom art she goes is unlike anything I have ever seen, I don't think there is a theme she can't replicate! Look through her work and you will see for yourself. Her talent is shown through her clients. Go see her! You will NOT be disappointed!

BEST in the Northwest for sure The work is not only phenomenal, but it's SUPER DURABLE. She takes textra time to seal your rhinestones so they don't fall off a day after you leave her shop like other nail salons I've gone to. I take the bus from downtown Portland Pearl District just to see her, and it's SOOOO worth it. Her prices are very reasonable, she a blast to chat with, and there's a donut spot next door so you can have a treat, and coffee. I BOSS NAILZ!!!!!!!! read more

I've been going here a little over a year now. I've got to say GG is a pure artist. And she knows it. The ego on her is absolutely huge! If you request anything she sends you to someone else. She knows what she wants to do for you and you'll take it or she won't do your nails. Sometimes I'd like to have a say. Sometimes I'd like to not be talked to like I'm a child. I wanted to go back and have her do my pride nails, but thinking about her attitude towards me makes me not want to go. So, as much as I loved how she did my nails, I'm not going back. Attitude matters. She was very friendly in the beginning, but I asked for one thing, and she's been rude to me ever cents. I didn't even get particular, I just asked that she added color. She got offended and sent me to someone else. Three visit later and she's still condescending. Nope, not going back. Oh, and she knows I'm diabetic, and I've asked her not to do anything to any ingrown, nails, or anything she might say, she ripped it out with her drill last time. I have three swollen fingers for days. I don't heal fast. She can't do that to my nail beds. read more

Originally, I loved this place. Genny did my nails the first time with gel polish, which lasted 3 weeks as it should, when you spend $10 extra for gel. After that, I was told Genny was no longer doing polish changes so I went to Janay. Two nails chipped within 2 weeks so I went back to her to have them redone as I would have expected. I really liked this salon so I did go back again, but tried Amanda. Nails chipped again. Gave Janay another try and again, a nail chipped at 8 days. I returned to have it redone, but they wanted to charge me and said their policy is after 3 days they would not redo a chipped nail. The reason you pay more for gel is because it is suppose to last at least 3 weeks. Maybe it is the brand of polish they use, because I've changed salons and have not had any problems. read more

My mom gets her nails done by GG and she raves how GG is thorough, efficient, and gives great massages. It's a far drive for me coming from close to Clackamas but I caved in. GG is the best in the PNW. A creative freestyle nail artist. She's very good at drawing out your likings based on what kind of style you're aiming for. You can either go for the all natural look which is what my mom usually gets or you can let GG go wild and Boss out your nails. You can clearly tell she loves what she does. Her eccentric and charismatic personality is why people love her and keeps coming back. Although we were talking and laughing a whole bunch, that didn't affect her ability to get my nails done in a timely manner. I had so much fun in her cute little shop from the beginning until the end and walked out with nice fresh looking nails. Thank you for the wonderful experience I will be coming back. read more

This is a beautiful and clean nail salon in Vancouver. I received a pedicure with bling and ended up with really soft feet. I really loved the color choices and went with a neon coral color and it's such a great choice for summer. My feet look cute. Genny is sweet. She is definitely on her game. I loved talking with her and she was so gentle. I'm already thinking of nail art we can try for my next appointment. Genny is great! I've been following her on instagram and was finally able to get in for a full set. I had some ideas but she improved on them. The design is flawless and they are perfectly executed. I've been going to GG for 4 years now, and she's incredible. She comes up with the most creative and unique designs and the quality is always amazing. I usually just show up and ask her what she wants to do, then we brainstorm a bit and she whips out something incredible. When I want a specific design or style to match a dress or an occasion, she always makes it looks incredible. The few times I've gone to another salon when I'm on vacation or something, I realize how spoiled I am with GG because she'll whip out complex designs on all 10 nails in about the time it takes another person to do just regular polish. read more

What an awesome place! Took my wife here to get nails done and she loved it. The shop interior design is great and the you really feel at home. The staff was super friendly and inviting. Genny is outstanding! Talk about a good time! You have to get your nails done by her. I gaurentee you a great time. She is funny and a great conversationalist! Whenever I think of going somewhere a little closer to my home, I decide that with the price of a pedicure these days, I might as well go to this consistent and reliable salon. I no longer get my fingernails done but I was always pleased when I did, granted, I never asked for creative designs or anything elaborate. Now I primarily go for pedicures. They have several different options to choose from at different price points but they are all very reasonable, especially for the service you get! I used to think the jelly pedicure sounded silly but I suddenly felt drawn to it and I'm glad I gave it a try because it is soooo good! The powder dissolves in water and as you stir your feet around it turns into this thick, warm gel that is really satisfying. I was so disappointed when it was time to drain. Again, I don't do anything fancy on my nails, but the paint job is always consistent. The massages are generous, the chairs are comfortable, they offer complementary beverages (including alcohol, if that's your thing), and the staff are very sweet. It's a modern and upscale looking salon that is clean, aesthetically pleasing, and in a convenient location. I will keep going back! PS: one of the last times I actually had my nails done was for my wedding November of 2024, and they were absolutely flawless. It's the only photo I have of the work they do but they were beautiful and the review felt incomplete without it

It was a very small cut, so I didn't make a big deal out of it and let him continue. A few minutes later, while filing another nail, it burned so badly that my eyes watered. I even said, "Ouch! Maybe my nails are just sensitive today." Despite that experience, the customer service that day was kind, so I left thinking maybe it was just an off day. When my friend suggested we come back this past Saturday, I was hesitant but decided to give the salon another chance. I spent $150 on my nails because my daughter's birthday party is next Saturday, and I wanted to get them done early so I wouldn't have to worry about them during the busy week. We left for Seattle after my appointment and returned Monday. By Sunday--less than 24 hours later--my nails had already started chipping. I went back to the salon to have them look at the issue. Instead of acknowledging that something might have gone wrong, the first thing I was told was that "this gel doesn't last long." I asked, "Less than 24 hours?" I was then asked if I had been cooking a lot for my daughter's party. I explained that the party wasn't for another six days, so that wasn't the cause. During the conversation, the customer service representative rolled her eyes at me, which made the experience even more disappointing. My issue isn't the money. It's the lack of customer service and accountability. Sometimes products fail or mistakes happen--that's understandable. What matters is how a business responds. I ended up going to my regular nail salon, and the difference was night and day. As soon as I walked in, they asked, "Oh no, did we do this?" When I explained what had happened, they fixed my nails with care, kindness, and without making me feel like I had done something wrong. I believe good customer service is about listening to your customers and standing behind your work. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here, and because of that, my friend my daughter and I, won't be returning. My friends nail was also damaged and her finger nicked at this appointment but I will let her write her own review. UPDATE: THanks for the response again this confirms that they are blaming the client and lying. No apology about how I was treated. Your response speaks volumes. If you did stand to your 7 day policy I would have been treated differently from the start and this review would never have happened. Not the clients fault that you use cheap material.

I came in on September 24th, 2025 specifically asking for an all over brown color over my blonde highlights. I showed an inspiration pic of a darker brown than my original root grow out with a tinge of red glaze shining through over the top of the hair. After 4 hours of filling my hair with a red, washing, drying, applying permanent color, waiting, washing, drying again. I came out RED. Yes, dark Merlot red. That is not what I asked for. I called as soon as I got home, seeing how it's not what I asked for and in the sun I am shining red, they told me the soonest date to fix it was a week out. I couldn't wait that long so I messaged a professional hair stylist and she told me to ask what they used on my hair to understand how to go about fixing my hair. I proceeded to call elite again and on the call the instructor told me they don't give out the formulas but they can get me in sooner to "fix" my hair free of charge and that it will be much quicker than yesterday after I voiced my concern about being home quickly because I have a child. I said okay and the next morning on September 25th I was at Elite to fix it. I arrive at 9:30 in the morning and speak with the instructor at Elite and the student who did my hair. They explain to me that everyone's hair takes things differently, explain the science behind it, etc and I told them I understand. The instructor told me she sees how's it's red and that she wasn't able to check in at the end of the service that day because she was out of office on an errand. I show the photo of my inspiration again and I ask "is it going to be still red after, will it be brown and not too dark?" I am told it will still be slightly red but it will definitely be a brown. Instructor told me I will be the same level that I was at and they would just be "neutralizing" the red. (I understand the red will still be in there, it wasn't a problem). The professional hair stylist I was speaking with messaged me to say "If they use a color remover on you & deposit a gloss to neutralize you i think it will be totally fine. Just make sure they dont just apply another color on top of that unless you dont mind being darker." Understanding this, I asked the elite instructor why can't we remove some red and then add color brown. Elite Instructor told me that they cannot remove the red since it's permanent. I asked repeatedly if it will be a brown and not black. I was again, REASSURED it would be the same level, and I'll just "feel" darker but that it would be brown how I wanted. After the 30 minute consult, the student starts applying 5N to my hair at 10am. After 3.5 HOURS of waiting, washing, and drying... my hair is now BLACK. Not brown, not a dark brown, literally pure black with red undertone.... It is NOT what I asked for and I was told nothing can be done about it that day, that I have to wait 2 weeks at least to reverse the color by BLEACHING if I wanted the BROWN I INITIALLY came in for. I'm told repeatedly by the student that she doesn't see black but a "dark rich chocolate brown". I'm not going to be gaslit into thinking my BLACK hair is brown. Learn the difference if you're working in a hair business. There was no sorry at all for ruining my hair and all the time wasted. I want a refund AND I urge everyone to just find a PROFESSIONAL to do it for you instead of wasting time and tears at this "Elite beauty school".
