My boyfriend bought me a 1 hour with Kimberly Bosso who is supposedly "the" makeup artist. It was $350 plus he paid her $50 for a tip. Trying to connect with this lady was nearly impossible and frustrating. She is either out of town or wants to come to my house. I wanted the full experience! The teacher is very awesome, experienced, patient. Even my English aren't my first language, she would took her time to understand me and teach me. I wasn't experience at all before, but she was so patient and she included everyone, she had different models each day, so we could practice different types of makeup on different types of skin, face shape... Etc She would teach different style from beginning to very advanced, we practice on the models and each students and ourselves, she not just show us how to do it but let us practice and correct us till we are confident. Terrible experience! I was excited to goto Kim's 6 day intensive class but was very disappointed. It was a complete waste of $8,000. It was very unprofessional. She held the class not at the address listed on her website as the "school" but at her apartment. She had her son running around the whole time and interrupting the class every few minutes. And she had her dog jumping around everywhere the whole time which was very distracting. She was very unorganized and didn't follow a curriculum. She spent a lot of time just promoting her makeup brand and talking about her private life. Talking about her ex relationship, talking about her son, gossiping about past students and talking bad about them, saying bad things about designer Pia Gladys Perey, and saying a venue that rented out booths to her and Kim for a event told her that she scammed that venue and didn't pay them for the booth ever and to watch out for Pia. But she was sending us to work fashion week for her. She also kept us hours after scheduled time every day I was there. Like till 7 or 8 pm and didn't allow us to leave. And we were supposed to get out at 5:30 pm. She had no consideration for anyone's time. She also violated COVID 19 health guidelines and didn't let us wear masks the entire time or social distance. And had people in the class from other states and other countries risking everyone's safety. And didn't allow refunds even though I was uncomfortable and worried about my health. After the first few days I wasn't feeling well and let Kim know and she said I could just come back the following day. Then the next day she said I had to pay $1500 to make up the day I missed even though she didn't mention that the day before and it wasn't stated in the contract. And she said if I didn't she would not give me my certificate. As that day went on she was making rude comments to me. And it escalated to her yelling and being very disrespectful and insulting and refusing to let me finish the class and I had 3 days left and she refused to give me a certificate or my makeup starter kit included with this class. And she refused to refund me. I flew all the way out here from out of state and wasted so much time and money. And if you don't worship her and suck up to her she won't let you goto fashion week with her. Buyer Beware. read more
