The technician who did my lashes & brow lamination did not do a good job. She over curled my lashes so that they were curled up and permanently stuck into my eyelid. This was also 2 weeks before my wedding which I did tell her in advance. I had to go to another salon to have them fixed. I reached out to The Lash Lift to receive a refund which they said they would provide but I've now followed up several times and they never sent it. I booked an appointment, received a confirmation for feb 12 at 11:00 am. I live in Long Beach.... I drove an hour and 15 min to get here on time, just to be greeted by a note on the door saying " gone for the day, family emergency" this is not ok! Not only did I waste my time and gas!! I had to pay 12 for parking! And I didn't even get a courtesy call or message. Really disappointed. After I uploaded this review I was contacted by the business owner... who wasn't very pleasant. This is a business... it should be handled with professionalism at all times in any circumstance. Almost 2 weeks later.. he left a comment under my review saying "there wasn't an appointment under ISABEL! Who cares that's my middle name... he didn't say it wasn't true... just that there wasn't an appointment under Isabel. Just a very petty individual. This is a hidden gem. Chad is very responsive and communicative, it was very easy to schedule a last minute appointment. I love that they are open later than most salons, which works well for those getting off work. Chad did a Lash Lift, he is very professional, inquired about my past lash experiences and was able to tailor a service that would be responsive for my lashes. I got a lash lift + tint last weekend for the first time and could not be more pleased with the results! Chad responded quickly when I first reached out via a Yelp message to ask questions and make an appointment; I messaged him on a Friday afternoon and was scheduled for Saturday morning. From a male getting their lashes lifted, I can tell you that this stuff works. I found Chad here on Yelp and made the trek to Rodeo Drive to find out how the lash lift worked on me. The store itself was a little hidden (it's at the bottom most, downstairs portion of the Rodeo collection), but not too hard to find. Chad took me in and he was very down to earth. The whole process takes just under an hour, but you're sitting there with your eyes closed. I would recommend bringing someone to talk to you while you wait so that time doesn't drag on. Unless, of course, you're comfortable with your own thoughts for a whole hour. The process itself is not painful, no hidden surprises. You get a choice of tint or no tint, I went with the tint. I did not experience any lash breakage/falling during or after the process. As far as what the effect looks like and how long it lasts, you should keep in mind that this procedure only works IF YOU HAVE SEMI-FULL /LONG/ LASHES. If you're going in there with barely any lashes and are expecting huge, voluminous lashes it's not going to happen. Once the procedure is done, the lashes look somewhat stuck together and it takes a day or two before they separate and take full effect but the voluminous was there for me (the picture attached is 2 days after the procedure). As far as how long they last, it says about 6-12 weeks but I found mine only lasted a little over a month and a half. However, I take really hot showers on the daily so that may play into it. For added effect, I also gave my lashes a little bump with an eyelash curler and added mascara and they were at their best. If you're looking to get this procedure done, I'd recommend it and you'd be better off getting it done here. Chad knows what he's doing and you wouldn't be taking any chances as far as damage goes. However, again whether you get the effect you see in the pictures is really dependent upon how long your lashes are naturally. read more

I love my newly shaped lashes! Chad was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. My lashes are ok length but stick straight out. Weird because I have curly hair, but whatever. I got a lash lift done yesterday at the Lash Lift by Chad and I am thrilled I did. I have never felt pretty without mascara on, but this morning I rolled out of bed looked in the mirror and thought to myself, "damn you look good". Writing this review in real time as sit around hoping this will work itself out. Yesterday at 2pm, I booked an 11am appointment for today. I got several confirmations and reminders about the appointment. I arrive at the salon at 10:50am. I knock with no answer, so I wait patiently on the couch just outside the door. 11am comes around and I kick again with no answer. So I call the number, goes straight to voicemail, so I leave a kind message. Wait for another 10mins, knock again, text, NO RESPONSE. Then I go on yelp and read the reviews about 11am appointments. ‍‍ So I'm like "nahhh that's not what's happening. He's probably just running behind" So I wait until 11:30!!!!! No contact to say hey "I see you have an appointment, I can't make it" or "I'm running behind" NOTHING. That's so crazy to me! I wouldn't even be mad if I had to wait 30mins after my appointment of there was some form of contact. The reviews are true people! Don't book an 11am appointment unless you want to waste your time. This is my second time getting my lash lift with Chad. I'm extremely happy with the results. My natural eyelashes are long but they over-curl so there really wasn't much I could do with them. The first time I heard about keratin treatment I went to some other studio in Beverly Hills and was not happy about the results. My friends and I bought the groupon for a lash lift. Upon getting there, I had super low expectations -- bcos for one, my lashes are SUPER short. When it was my turn, as I approached him, I first asked him what the difference between a lash perm and lash lift? As well as, what is a lash lift? Then, I asked him TBH how he thinks the lash lift is going to come up with my lashes, as short as it is. He said tbh I probably wouldn't get much results, but he would still do it if I wanted. Then I asked him what I would do to get a noticeable result. He recommended color tinting for more boldness. But, I already bought the groupon -- what do I do? He said he can give me an even exchange. So, I agreed. Halfway through the color tint, He looked back and kept thinking how he can add more color to it. But 5 minutes later, he told me he couldn't do it. Srsly, my lashes are just that short. He told me he wasn't going to charge me, because he didn't feel right doing it. It wasn't noticeable at all. He told me to exchange the groupon credit, and even offered to call groupon themselves if I had any trouble with doing so. I completely and totally respect sales people who are honest. Even if they end up "losing" business for that day, that one honest move goes a long way in my book. So, THANK YOU CHAD for that honest opinion of the services on my lashes. Completely forgot to write a review on this place. I have never had a lash lift or tint before, so I came here to get one because they had great reviews and it was a good deal. It cost $85 total before tip and lasted 6 weeks, which is a really long time! I also got them tinted black, but the color didn't last very long. The only negative was that the whole process took about an hour and a half which seemed pretty long just for a lash lift and tint, but since I've never gotten them before, maybe that's normal? I would like to leave zero stars. Completely ruined my lashes. I had very long, thick, amazing lashes and thought I'd try the lash lift/tint. At the end of the appointment the guy got solution in my eye that started to burn like crazy! The lashes were over curled and tangled on my left eye and under curled on my right eye. What's worse is now three weeks later my lashes have all broken off into short stubs and I have bald patches. I've been reading it make take six months for lashes to return to normal. Chad is a great instructor who is hands on, very informative and detail oriented and yes after one day and doing 2 models you are ready to do service to clients like a pro. After researching both yelp & instagram it was clear that Chad was the person to perform my first lash lift. The whole process took about an hour. Chad has an extremely gentle touch, there was no pain involved and no icky "perm" smells. I simply laid back in the chair and he explained to me what he was doing during each step. I would say the only difficult part is that you cannot get any type of moisture on your lashes for a full 24 hours after the lash lift. Today is day 3 and my lashes look AMAZING! I had my lashes done by Chad a couple of Saturdays ago. I originally had an 11 am appointment; around 10:30 he texted to ask if he could move it back to 12:30 as he needed to grab some supplies. Not a problem for me, so I headed over at 12:30. (Note, Google lists the wrong suite number, but the gentleman at the front desk of the building was helpful in finding the studio.) Chad asked if I wanted just a lash lift or also tinting - didn't realize that was an option! - and I went for the whole package at $120. The process itself was relaxing. I mentioned that I had stubborn, downward pointing lashes so Chad modified his timing a little, which I appreciated. He was also pleasant and chatty when I was up for it, but let me relax quietly when I needed to - an essential quality in any stylist! The whole procedure lasted an hour and afterwards, I had princess eyes. Chad ended up not charging me at all for the tinting since he had to move the appointment, which is a solid business move. I ended up paying $100 instead of $120. I noticed my lashes sort of "stuck" together for the first day or two, but after washing and combing on the second day, they've fanned out and they look fabulous.
