This is a review for the Boston Children's Cafeteria, which is excellent! They have a Subway, a pizza stand, and several hot food options every day. During breakfast time, there's breakfast sandwiches made to order and a decent and affordable buffet (eggs, French toast). One day for lunch I tried their "poke" option which had rice, teriyaki chicken, mangoes, corn, and a yummy sauce, which was surprisingly delicious for cafeteria food.

All the room are empty, we are the only one that waiting! Last time, we had been waiting for 8 hours!

The nurses in the Emergency Room have racial discrimination and very unfriendly! On the ninth day of my child's fever, we waited for two hours in the waiting area. All the other children have gone in, but we are still waiting. The nurses in the front desk just told us, "just wait until one room available

This hospital is only for millionaires. Regular people are not able to afford the cost. My daughter has acne issue on her face and visited a doctor in Boston Children's hospital. It is a regular visit, not emergent. The doctor visit only took about 15 minutes and no lab test was scheduled. However, two weeks later I was astounded by the amount they charge for this visit: $769.97!!! This is almost 2 folds higher than similar doctor visit of other clinics or hospitals based on our prior experience. I called the hospital finance office and reminded them that this is just regular doctor visit and no lab test was conducted. But they told me that this is the basic charge the hospital will collect for each regular visit. $767.97 for a 15 min visit!!! I believe only millionaires can afford to visit the doctors in this hospital.

The medical staff is wonderful, and I feel truly grateful for them. The non-medical staff is......bad, very bad.

The professional way of dealing with patients, their logistics and setup, their green spaces to rest and relax, the care, etc....all had been top notch. The hoards of people overcrowded in the small waiting rooms along with the shouting and commotion of out of control angry patients was beyond what I had ever witnessed before. One woman shrieked "I wouldn't bring a dog here!" In fact, I had brought my service dog who was waiting in the car in which I had been driven to this ER. My dog gets better care at busy, large metropolitan animal hospitals and is not subjected to or traumatized by utter pandemonium. This was like a living hell.

I received no less than 6 emails and texts to remind me of the appointment and to pay the copay, which I prepaid online. After I left work early and waited 1.5 hr at BMC, someone came to tell me that they cannot see me today because they did not receive the images from my prior mammogram, and I needed to reschedule. You couldn't have told me that 1.5 hr ago? I could've contacted the other clinic within the last 1.5 hr to have them send the images over. Whose responsibility is it to get the images? When I booked the appointment, I made sure to tell them my original mammogram was from another clinic. No one followed up with me. No one asked me to sign a release. They sure sent me enough reminders to get their money though. When I asked for my money back, I had to wait to "talk to the manager." They could not give me my money back, but told me to call the 800 number for BMC's billing dept. No, thank you! I'm not wasting any more of my time with BMC. I just disputed the charge with my credit card. This is not the standard of care that I would expect even at a small local rundown hospital, let alone what they claim they are at BMC. If you are looking for a high standard of care and a team that follows up and follows through, BMC is not it. My husband also had many bad experiences with BMC making appointments in the wrong department and cancelling on him without notice. When you are dealing with cancer or potential cancer patients, it doesn't seem to matter to them. Time is not of the essence. As long as they get their money, they're all good. Do yourself a favor. Go somewhere else. There are much better hospitals in Boston.

He was a difficult patient and was so scared and in pain. I am the only relative he was still in touch with. And I visited him almost every day for the week he was there until he passed yesterday. Everyone at the hospital, from the ER staff to all the staff on Needham 3, were wonderful. The doctors were so gentle with him and spent so much time explaining and listening to him. Special commendation to nurse Bridget on Needham 3. She went above and beyond to keep my cousin comfortable and to ease his anxiety. She advocated for his needs on several occasions with the outside Hospice team who didn't understand his limitations and anxieties. And she was there for me as I grieved and worried about logistics. She is a true gem!!!! Another honorable mention to Linda on Needham 3, who also looked after me when things got overwhelming. I highly recommend Mr. Auburn hospital for service, medical expertise, and for providing a lovely non-intimidating environment.

I made a total of four calls, leaving detailed messages on three occasions including my cell number. At no point did I receive a return call‍ Having failed at telephonic registration I physically went to the registration office at 6:40 AM. The office sign indicates they are open from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM! We were not the only ones dismayed that the office was CLOSED and at 6:50 AM I left for my procedure . When I reported to the GI Unit I couldn't pre-register the response was " yes that is a common complaint" Clearly the management of the pre-registration department should be held accountable for the lack of attention and responsibility of this unit! Patients deserve far better‍
