The staff is wonderful, working in that environment is most often met with patients that are not on their best behavior, in pain who can be ? The staff always remains so optomistic. The biggest issue was the L&D & Mother/Baby unit after delivery. My newborn and I were placed in a room that was only 68 degrees. We were told there were no other rooms available, the solution was to give us extra blankets. We had to wait approximately 36 hours before we were moved to a room with an appropriate temperature. Recovering from childbirth while trying to care for a newborn in a cold room was incredibly stressful. I was also shocked by the cleanliness of the hospital. The postpartum room did not appear clean when we arrived. During my stay, the trash was not emptied daily, and the floors were never mopped. For a labor and delivery unit caring for mothers and newborns, I expected much better sanitation. While a few staff members were kind, my overall experience in both Labor & Delivery and the Mother/Baby unit did not meet the standard I expected. One experience that has stayed with me involved the nurse who introduced herself as Lindsey. She attempted to place my IV before my C-section and was unsuccessful after five attempts between both of my arms. At that point, I politely asked if someone else could try. Instead of responding with understanding, she appeared upset, gave me attitude, and slammed an item before leaving the room. It was an incredibly vulnerable moment for me, and I was shocked by how I felt I was treated. Even if a procedure is difficult, patients deserve compassion and professionalism, especially during childbirth.

VERY DISAPPOINTED and UPSET I Needed a New Hip/Knee Dr…read more Close To Where I Live. So I Set Up Two Appointments at 30 New Crossing Road, Reading, Ma. I Was Recommended Too Dr. Sun at This Current Location, Because Dr. Gordon Was No Longer at This Location. Please Note: All The Receptionist, Nurses, and Xray People Always at 30 New Crossing Road, Were All Very Professional and Courteous With Me During Both of My Visits Here Within The Past and Current Few Months. But During My Two New Visits At This Office With Dr. Sun and His Male Assistant Well, Were Very Disheartening and Disappointing. I Had Hip and Knee Xrays Compleated During These 2-Visits Prior To Seeing Dr. Sun and His Male Assistant. Dr. Sun's Male Assistant During Both of My Visits Here Seemed To Be In a Hurry To See His Next Patient and not Very Concerned About My Issues and Past History and Concerns With My Knees. Dr. Sun During My 2-Visits Here Never Reviewed, Explained, or Discussed My Current Xrays On the Computer or With Me Personally In this Office or His Concerns For My Future. My Previous Dr's I've had at This Location Always Took the Time and Patience To Explain, Review, and Discussed My Xrays In Person and Possible Future Appointments, and Procedures That Will Need To Be Done. But Not Dr Sun and His Male Assistant at This Location, Seemed Always In a Hurry, I Was Very Disappointed With Their Professionalism, and Huredly State of Which They Conducted Themselves With My Current Xrays, Concerns and Possible Procedures for My Future, Dr.Sun Just Gave Me Two Cortizone Shots, It Was Like Let's Get Him In and Out ASAP So That They Could Get On and See There Next Patient, Sorry I Was Very Disappointed By Both of These Supposed Medical Professionals During Both of My Visits at 30 New Crossing Road, Reading Ma. I Guess I Will Be Looking Elsewhere Close To My Living Location For a New Hip/Knee Dr. Who Is Concerned With Their Patients Welfare and Concerns With Their Medical Issues Without Having Do Drive In and Out of Boston Mass, and Traffic. Very Sorry About This BAD Review. I Have Delt With Allot of Professional Doctors That I Currently, and Constantly See Yearly Too Keep My Physical Health In Check, But Was Very Disappointed With Dr Sun and His Male Assistant During These 2-Visits at 30 New Crossing Road Reading, Ma.

I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so…read moreimpactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. I'm so grateful to have found her and truly can't recommend her enough.

My experience at Excell Orthopedics in Woburn was extremely disappointing…read more The office staff was friendly, welcoming, and I was seen right on time. My intake was completed, my medications were reviewed, and I was sent for X-rays before seeing the physician. The problem is that when I scheduled the appointment, I clearly explained the reason I needed to be seen, provided the testing that had already been completed, and filled out the online questionnaire detailing my symptoms and medical history. When the doctor entered the room, he asked why I was there. After I explained, he told me he does not treat that condition and would refer me to Neurology--even though Neurology was the specialty that referred me to him in the first place. I appreciate the doctor's honesty and that he did not attempt to treat something outside his area of expertise. However, it is frustrating that no one reviewed my referral, records, test results, or questionnaire beforehand. Had they done so, someone could have informed me that this provider does not treat my condition, saving me from leaving work, paying a specialist copay, undergoing unnecessary X-rays, and incurring additional insurance costs. The appointment lasted less than 10 minutes. The doctor reviewed EMG results I was already aware of and documented that my symptoms could be related to neuropathy, despite my explaining that my neuropathy affects my legs and feet, has significantly improved, and is not related to the shoulder and hand symptoms that began while taking a medication. I contacted a manager afterward, who acknowledged the issue and said she would educate the staff and get back to me. More than 24 hours later, I have not received a follow-up. While I appreciate the commitment to staff education, it does not address the time, money, and energy I lost, including the copays and additional imaging costs. Overall, this felt like a completely avoidable situation that should have been identified before I ever arrived for the appointment. My appointment was at 2:20 I checked in my receipt says 2:13, the women who checked me in was extremely kind and we chatted a few - I was brought back right at 2:20, went for xray at 2:30 after sitting going over my medications ect .. back to the room. The X-ray tech was very friendly also! I was back in my car at 2:43.

The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the scheduling assistant Eva they use over the phone. It's a robot that books your appointment and it didn't end up actually booking the appointment, but I was in the system despite never going to Excel before. However, the front desk staff were very apologetic and able to get me in despite the mix up. I appreciated their efforts and was able to get in with a doctor about 20 minutes after my originally scheduled appointment. I hope for the sake of the front desk staff they upgrade Eva or get rid of it entirely.
