I do not think I will be back to this facility for any imaging/ Xray services. My appointment was 1pm with in a check in at 12:30 pm. The front desk was not very friendly, I stood there for probably 15 minutes before someone actually acknowledged me and asked me to wait a little longer. After going through all the pages on the questionnaire and filling out the paperwork, I was asked to wait to be called in. I know there is always a wait when going to any kind of medical facility; but I waited approximately 1 hour, from the time I checked in, which was 1230 pm to the time I actually got my ultrasound. I have been getting this same ultrasound for years, this was the shortest amount of time taken to complete the ultrasound (approximately 15 minutes). In all honesty if I should have read the reviews before making the appointment because they are very accurate. To make matter worse, I just read an article about their diagnostic mammograms not meeting the FDA standards which is quite worrisome. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else. read more

My son had x-rays taken here twice within 3 weeks for what turned out to be pneumonia. The first time was 4 stars, in and out super fast. The tech was nice enough and even with a wiggly kid he got his shot in one try. The second time we waited and waited, eventually everyone else (even those who came in after us) had been called and still we sat. Finally when he were called back they apologized and mumbled something about the tech taking their lunch break. Great! To make up for it the lady that helped us got my son some stickers and both of us a lead vest to protect what wasn't being x-rayed. Oddly, we didn't get one to wear the last visit, hmmm... It took two tries this time to get the shot but I can't blame it on the tech but my 15 month old! The first visit there was some confusion about whether or not his results were called in to my doc. The doctor said they didn't get them, the lab said they sent them right away. No problems the second time with delivery because I hand delivered them. read more

I was dreading my first mammogram and was a nervous wreck ever since I made the appointment. The front desk ladies were not friendly at all but Jeanie made up for it. She made me feel comfortable and took her time. Very professional and I must say it didn't hurt one bit. I don't know if it was because I expected the worst pain or if it was Jeanie. I've already told my friends that have been too afraid to get a mammo to request Jeanie and get it done. I will be there every year and not put it off this long ever again. Jeanie said all the techs are great but.... Jeanie ROCKS!!! If it wasn't for her this review wouldn't be that great because of the front staff. I don't even care because Jeanie made it a better experience. I'm siked that I chose the right place and got the best tech. read more

Wow. What a horrible example of a medical facility. Absolutely no client communication. The front desk staff are un-compassionate, and seem disorganized. I've had a couple of instances where I needed to make an appointment for something and they never "received" my referral, after reaching out to my physicians office, it was initially sent. It's a constant back and fourth battle to even make a simple appointment, or get any information about your records. I will never be back to this facility again. read more

Ok, I really feel the need to write this in hopes someone can address the poor experience I have had here at Boston Diagnostic in Altamonte. Four windows to check in and one person checking people in. Yet if your there for something other than what that one person checks in for, you need to check each window for a descriptive and try and get their attention. I personally find that this system is ridiculous in that I have to show all those people waiting what I am there for. Then I have to verbally say why I'm here and discuss my situation........ . Not once but twice. Discussing why I need to get a repeat mammogram in front of the entire staff and waiting room of people is so unprofessional. After that embarrassment you need to turn and find a seat......EVERY SINGLE SEAT IS FILTHY! And no hand sanitizer. This place is very disorganized the staff are seemingly nice but brought professionalism to a lower standard. In fairness to the scan and my tech I will say everything went well and my tech was Very very nice. Actually I would say both Techs I had were great. I like the location of this place and would like to continue to use their services but untill some basic improvements are made I will look elsewhere. read more

Must find another location for x-ray and yearly mammogram, unfortunately Insurance does not give me much choices. Front Desk staff was rude and unfriendly. Walked in and requested to set up an appointment, the rude young lady looked up with an attitude and continue to address me to take a seat and she will call me when ready to schedule an appointment. I was taken back by her demeanor I thought I will let it pass waited 15 minutes and she continued to ignore me. I then approached one of the staff and asked what was their procedure for an appointment she pointed to the young lady and said you can speak to her there is no waiting time. I proceeded to explain what occurred the staff member brought the supervisor from the back office which she apologized for the poor behavior and would address this issue with the young lady. Supervisor mentioned they would be able to take the x-ray today would I like to wait and she would take the file to the technician. I filled out all the paper work ( time 3:48PM), 5PM supervisor came to the front desk and surprised I still was not attended to, immediately after that incident I finally got my x-ray. The worst ....very disorganized. Went in for a mammogram, the next week received a letter saying they wanted to do a follow up ultrasound, so I scheduled the appointment, when I got there they told me they couldn't do the exam because they didn't have my previous films, even though they had stated they had sent for the films. So the next day I go to my previous provider only to find out that the films had been delivered the prior week! In the meantime I get a 2nd letter telling me I needed to do a follow up mammogram in fhe next 6 months, but no mention of ultrasound! When I called up to ask them what exactly they wanted me to do they stated that 1st I needed to come in for a mammogram...which I had just had,,,they then went on to tell me that they didn't have me on file for having had a mammogram there. I mentioned the letters that I had just received and their next question was; "Are you sure the letter is from us." At that point I simply asked them to return my films to my previous provider as I was going to return to them! read more

The negative reviews of others here surprise me. I always go to the facility in Altamonte. The check-in staff has always been courteous, if a little unsmiling. Yes, sometimes waiting seats are scarce. The staff actually performing the procedures are excellent. I've never had a bad experience with them. We've been walk-ins more then once for x-rays for potential broken bones, and never had to wait very long. They're now known as Orlando Health Imaging Center. I've always been satisfied and NEVER experienced the long wait times others have mentioned. I like the place. read more

I didn't mind so much when the attending technician yanked out the IV for my iodine contrast, "you're done, now. you can leave", and left me to walk out of the room with my arm bleeding and not so much as an afterthought about what he or I was doing there. That was a little unsanitary. And I was quite patient enough not to complain about waiting over an hour for my scheduled MRI, even after I arrived early. But I got inside a powerful "Telsa 3" MRI machine, lots of heavy metal banging and clanging with not much sound protection. Since 2014 I've been thru 4-6 'open' MRIs which had fractional Telsa ratings, but you have a comfort factor there which isn't as possible in the other machine, so I had somewhat uncomfortable experience dealing with it at Boston Diagnostics. After receiving some concilatory remarks by Phyllis S., who works in a supervisory capacity for Boston Diagnostics, I felt much more placated after the uncomfortable experience with my recent MRI. Bottom line: you may need to be prepared for Telsa 3 MRIs, you're possibly going to be feeling like you're buried alive in a coffin while the ear-splitting equivalent of some lousy heavy metal rock music isn't your cup of tea, and the 30 minutes in there will be an eternity for you. Hopefully a little AC or fan ventilation will keep you cool while in there. I'm not recommending that you drink any wine or alcohol prior to that event, but you really got be as relaxed as possible to handle this powerful machine. It can be that rough! read more

I had 2 experiences with Boston Diagnostics. First was a mammo/'ultrasound due to a lump in my breast. Mammo was quick and then I was moved into a cold closet (tiny dark waiting room in my napkin top) and waited for over 45 mins. The ultrasound tech says, "yeah, we are double booked today." How is that now my problem? It took 2.5 hours total. Then the radiologist suggests an MRI for more info. What? So I schedule it. It takes 2 weeks for my appointment. I get a call the day before my appt and they say it is going to cost $682 for my co-pay. I say I can't pay that. She says since I will be self pay it will cost $250. I drive to Altamonte Springs at 7:30am for my appt and the lady at the desk tells me it is $500 and when I say I can't do that and share the convo I had the day before, she says it is $500 and never offers me a payment plan option. Most people there don't like their job, or perhaps the company they work for. I will take my money and breasts elsewhere- to a company who has compassion and cares for their patients. Don't waste your time in your delicate situation of needing accurate info and kind staff. read more

Do not go Boston Diagnostic for mammogram. I just received letter that their machines are not up to standards. So the diagnostic mammogram did not meet standards that I had last year. They are awful about making you wait for results too. I had to wait days for my results when the information was available that day! read more

I called /21 twice to get ankle MRI price. To my surprise after calling 10 places they were most reasonable @$250. Today I call them and there new price is $405 due to medicare making them raise their price. The good news is there is a reputable company called Drew Medical (407)788-888 - cost is $350. Per Boston receptionist price raise due to medicare demands per manager Christine receptionist just guesssing. Nice way to run a business. Go anywhere but here for MRI. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I was on the website looking for Orlando Health Imaging's (formerly called Boston Diagnostics) phone #. Over the past 3 years (early 2014 to current) I've had numerous dopplers, cat scans, mammograms, you name it, they've done it. My last visit I remember telling the front desk staff "Well, you officially have a picture of every inch of me from the bottom of my feet to the top of my head". They have ALWAYS been friendly and as quick as possible when I arrived. The one thing I'll never forget was when I was there for some procedures (I don't remember but I think it was a doppler) on both of my legs, upper and lower, within 3 hrs. my Dr. called and said that Boston had discovered a DVT blood clot. DV standing for deep vein. and told me to get to the emergency room at the hospital immediately, they already had my name and were waiting on me. The clot was deep in my groin and could move to my heart, lungs or brain at any time. BOSTON DIAGNOSTICS AND MY DR. SAVED MY LIFE. I've had days in drs. offices when I felt overlooked and downright ignored but you can say something and say it nice to see if you can get some help. It could save your life!! read more

I visited this facility on Sept. 19th to have my daughter evaluated for a wrist injury (by referral). We had a late appt. (5pm) & was one of the last patients to leave. I've used this facility for their services before & never had the experience I encountered with my daughter like I did on this day. The imaging rep that assisted my daughter (for x-ray work) was "Andrea". I sensed, as my daughter & I was waiting to be seen, that the whole staff there was "antsy" about closing up & finishing business for the day (including "Andrea"). Her assistance was very poor - no kind of courtesy or being informative of what's going on with my daughter's wrist. I'm still, to this day, not sure what my daughter could be suffering from (contusion or fracture). She was rushy throughout the whole experience there & she had me & my daughter literally "hanging around" after the xray was done - when I could of left. IF ONLY I WAS INFORMED OF THE INFO I NEEDED TO KNOW OF MY KID'S INJURY - I wouldn't feel as if I had to wait for her to assist any further. And she just looks at me & my daughter as if we were crazy or something as she was leaving the facility. The whole staff was just focused on packing their stuff up to go (that's how I knew we wasted our time thinking these bitches was not about doing their jobs thouroughly & properly. I advise whomever considers booking xray services here - be aware of how they run their service there. I heard lots of complaints (just sitting in their waiting room) by other patients that their equipments are always malfunctioning when they have a visit there & it takes too much time to get results back from them to their primary providers (probably due to that). read more

Normally I have had good experiences with this location. But this time was a little to be desired. I needed an xray of my nose, nasal cavity and face to see if I had a broken nose and/or damage to the nasal passages/sinuses. Xray's are first come first serve beginning at 8am. I arrived at 8:03am and still sat there for an hour. Then when I went back to my doctor for the results, they came back inclusive because the pictures that were taken were not the right ones. Not being aware of any different tests, my doctor called them. The manager pulled my scripted and said the tech only took the facial pictures not the nose and nasal pictures as my doctor requested. She told my doctor to tell me to come back (free of charge) to have them redone and to ask for her. I went straight there, asked for the manager and again waited for an hour. I never saw the manager, no apologies or anything. And then when I was finally called back, it was the same tech as before and she didn't nothing but blame other people and also said it was the same pictures she was taking again just closer. Come to find out I do have a broken nose. Needless to say I am very disappointed with the way I was treated this time. read more
