I booked an ultrasound appointment for my son, provided all his information including his birthdate, and scheduled it for 7 AM specifically to avoid disrupting school and work. Do you know how hard it is to get a middle schooler up and ready that early? They even sent a confirmation message, so I assumed everything was in order. We arrived on time, only to be told they "don't do pediatrics." Are you kidding me? Why take the booking, confirm the appointment, and let us show up if you don't even provide the service? It was a complete waste of our time and shows a shocking lack of organization and professionalism. Patients deserve clarity and respect. Instead, this office wasted our effort, caused unnecessary stress, and left us scrambling to find another provider. If you value your time and your family's care, do not trust this office. read more

Oh my God I had the best experience there as always. I had to have biopsies done. Kaitlyn and Will and Bri were amazing. They kept me talking so I wasn't focused on what Will was doing to do the biopsies. They're great. I would highly recommend them highly super caring very sweet. Unbelievable. I got there fill out the forms and at 8:17am the tech came out asking for me and she was amazing! Super friendly and chatty it took her like 15min to do what she needed to do and off I was! The staff are nice and professional. My issue is with the medical records department. They have a problem with sending the results to the doctor who requested the tests. I went in for a test and received a notice when the results were in. I went to my doctor a month after the test, and they still have not received the results. had to log in to the patient portal to show the doctor. I went back to Rayus for a follow-up test, told them about the situation, and was informed they would make sure the doctor got the results. went back to the doctor and same thing. I have emailed them about this and have not gotten any reply. I have to get another test, but I will not be going to Rayus, as I shouldn't have to show the doctors the results for tests that he requested. read more

Long wait is my only complaint. I had an appointment and was seen almost an hour after it. They had me down for 1 scan instead of 3 so everyone after me was waiting forever too. Other than that, everyone was very nice and it was clean. I have a pretty serious condition that they were very curious about. Do not trust this facility. I always have my insurance advocate get an estimate for me before my procedure. RAYUS came in the least expensive so I went with them. I normally go with Advanced Imaging but they were higher than RAYUS this time on the estimate. When I went to my appointment, I tried to pay my co-pay at check in and the lady said they will bill. I asked to confirm the amount and she couldn't tell me. I then get my bill and it is more than 4 times what the estimate was!!! I can understand it being a little different but not 4 times higher. I called and my insurance advocate called as well. They would not come down on the bill. I emailed and no one responded. Train your staff to give accurate estimates! We came here to schedule an MRI on my ankle and the ladies at the front desk were so friendly and flexible. They even hooked my son up with some snacks while we waited. **Update - I had to go for a mammogram and x-ray and I chose to go to Advent Health Imaging at the recommendation of a family member. Wow - there is a difference. The mammogram at AHI was $30. At sandlake it was over $90. At AHI the mammogram machine was more advanced - a 360 Mammogram- they call it. It was significantly more comfortable. Overall, I'll go to AHI from now forward.** I found the receptionist, mammogram and MRI staff to be quick and friendly. I didn't know the MRI would require an IV for infusion of a contrast. I, having teenie tiny veins, would have benefit from this knowledge in advance as it requires me to super hydrate the day prior to ensure they can find a vein. read more

She kept asking me to repeat my name and how to spell it, after having trouble with other information I was providing and putting me on hold 3 times. Their radiology requested a change to my order, and they never followed up with my doctor to have it changed. They lied to me, and said they requested an updated order form, which I confirmed was never requested by my office. The incompetency my wife and I had to deal with day after day only to end up being turned away is something I'm not going to ever forget. I'm sure I'm not the only women who finds getting a mammogram to be stressful. Getting the procedure is certainly no fun but then there is the waiting when you have time to think about what if? I've been going to Sand Lake Imaging - Rayus now - in Maitland for quite a few years for my mammograms. This year my doctor also requested a dexa scan. The tech told me I should have the results in two to three days. So here I sit more than two weeks later with no results. I called, they said I should allow two to three days for the results to get to the doctor and then another 14 business days to get the results. I know that it's just another day at work for the employees here; another routine test that they do all day, but not for me. I know everyone is short staffed and behind these days but at the very least offer a realistic time frame of when to expect results and maybe some reassurance. read more

I had an ultrasound appointment at Sand Lake Imaging Maitland October 27, 2020. Two weeks later when I went to my cardiologist for evaluation, my doctor told me that the ultrasound provided by Sand Lake was not what was ordered so it was of no use to them. My doctor contacted Jan Giles who is the facility administrator at Sand Lake and advised her of the issue. She refused to do anything about it. II had to schedule a new ultrasound at a different company in order for my doctor to diagnose my condition. Even though Sand Lake was aware that they had not performed the procedure ordered, they collected from my insurance company (and never refunded the amount to that insurance carrier, and have continued to pursue me for a co-pay of $26.01. Jan does not answer her phone, nor does her secretary, neither of them have responded to my messages over the past 5 months. No one at the company seems to know who Jan reports to, so I cannot get any action. the independent company that SLI uses for billing has threatened to send this to collections. They advised me that they have sent at least 2 emails to Jan and another unnamed person which have gone unanswered, asking for guidance based upon my conversations with them. They stated that Sand Lake has told them to proceed with collection. It is important to point our that the employees I've been able to speak with have been very professional and polite, but they do not know who to send me to other than Jan. I can't believe the lack of accountability and responsibility at this company! read more

Today I had a cardiac CT at Sand Lake Imaging in Maitland. As a retired critical care RN, I have to say this was a very, very pleasant experience. What made it so nice? The people!! From the nurse who stuck my IV and pushed my drugs, to the CT tech who cheerfully assisted me, and talked to me during my CT, to the girls at the front desk who greeted me cheerfully and walked me through the registration process. Kudos to everyone there today. They were exemplary employees, courteous and kind, and did an excellent job getting my cardiac CT accomplished. I cannot thank you all enough. I've been going to the Maitland location of Sand Lake Imaging for several years for mammograms and have found them to be friendly, professional and efficient. Several years ago I needed a follow up mammogram after an abnormal result. The radiologist reviewed the mammogram while I waited and I was immediately able to have a diagnostic ultrasound which ruled out any problems. It really meant a lot to have everything resolved in one visit instead of the waiting and stress of additional visits. Mammograms aren't fun and are even a little uncomfortable so it's nice to go somewhere where the staff is kind and they get you in and out quickly. read more

This location is much less congested than the Sand Lake location and for that alone I would make the trek out here! Scheduling was a breeze, and I was able to get a next day appointment even when I called at 5:20 the night before. All the staff were very nice and check in was very quick. This facility seems HUGE once you get past the front desk area, so it's hard to imagine that there would be any type of unreasonable wait. This location has a smaller waiting room, but a very calming feel. Darker tones, wood and stone. Hot tea seemed to be available in the inner waiting room, nothing fancy, but Lipton and green tea bags and honey were displayed. Yes, I had a mammogram. No, it was not horrible, it did not hurt, and was not embarrassing. Mammograms save lives. Just do it, because the life saved could be yours. read more

Worst experience possible. I had a mammogram there last August. I explained to the tech that I have scar tissue that causes severe pain when compressing my breast in the machine. She couldn't have cared less. When I cried out she curtly explained that what she was doing and how she was doing it was necessary. As if it wasn't bad enough, she did it twice. Saying she had to make sure she got a good image. I've never written a review on Yelp before. I'm writing this one because I had a mammogram at Advent Health Imaging in Altamonte last week. It was a breeze! The tech was quick, efficient and compassionate. The procedure was not at all painful, barely any discomfort. SLI should take a lesson from this. I have gone to them for 8-10 years. They have done mammograms, xrays, CT's, MRI's of just about every part of my body. So shocking to me when I go in for annual mammo and I ask if they will do comparison to previous ones and the tech says we have no records of ever doing any. I've been blessed with negative mammos. Can you imagine being told that if you have a history of problems? Something has changed drastically with SLI over the past year. Don't know that I'll be going back. The technicians flippant response to nothing on file. Duh, you had a system change last year. You worked there then. That should not have been your response to me. Very disappointing. read more

I took my 7 year old daughter for a scan and they were so kind and patient with her. This was our first experience with her outside of the children's hospital and without sedation and she did great with the kind help of the nurses and techs in the back. STILL terrible! I moved, and have been trying to get my records for the last two years. Emails, faxes, phone calls, and still NOTHING but empty promises from them. I even asked them to email me AND snail mail copies of my medical records to my house, just to confirm it wasn't my new doctor losing them- nope, nada, even though I was promised they sent it Fed Ex. So, I ask for tracking info, and get ""we don't have that available." Like, seriously?? FedEx ALWAYS gives you tracking info. That's kind of their WHOLE business! I swear, if I wind up with breast cancer that could have been caught earlier but wasn't because they keep TERRIBLE records (or none at all), I am totally suing!! Please do not go to Sand Lake Imaging, unless you enjoy having your time wasted. My doctor from Partners in Women's Healthcare wrote orders for me to have a mammo and ultrasound. When I called SLI they said the orders were wrong, so they contacted my dr who faxed the correct orders over. I had a scheduling conflict, so I called to reschedule and was given the same run around about the scrip. I went to the appointment 30 minutes early but ended up waiting for hours. So my appt was for 2pm- they finally gave me a mammogram at 3:45 but then I was put back in the waiting room again. I told the lady at the desk twice that I needed to pick up my children- I couldn't wait much longer. Finally I just left without ever seeing the doctor or getting the ultrasound I was supposed to get for a suspicious lump. 2.5 hours of wasted time. I feel like an idiot for even waiting that long. I give the place 1 star because there is no option available for LESS than a star. read more

When I Checked In I Was Greated By A Smiling Face And After Filling Out A Form I Was Quickly Brought Back By Courtney. After Sitting With Her And Going Over All Necessary Paperwork And Questionairs I Was Told In Detail What To Expect. After Being Given The Details I Became A Little Nauseas Due To My Needle Phobia. Rhonda And Courtney Came To The Rescue With Cold Packs, A Fan, Juice, And Crackers. I Finally Calmed Down And Got To Meet The P.A. Patricia Which Was Fabulous And Her Sense Of Humor Helped Ease My Nerves As Well. When I Was Finally Brought Into The Room Courtney Was By My Side The Whole Step of The Way Literally Holding My Hand. Rhonda Was Checking In On Me And The Awesome Girl With The Pretty Auburn Hair Did An Amazing Job As Well Taking Precise Images. After My Biopsy Was Done We Laughed About How Quick It Was And They Brought Be Into The Recovery Room And Made Me As Comfortable As Possible. They Checked Up On Me More Often Then They Needed To, But It Made Me Feel Super Secure And Comfortable. Great Team Work Ladies! On Friday I went for a mamo and had a great deal of anxiety bc of my horrible experience I had at Sand Lake Imaging a few years back. I had gone to SLI for a stereotactic breast biopsy. The tech over compressed my breast when she put it in the machine and I was almost crying tellng her that I was in really bad pain. She did nothing and walked out to get the doctor and did not come back till approx 5 minutes. I had pulled my breast out of the device and the doctor walked in and screamed at me and said we are not doing this. I was relieved to be out of there that day but now I am experiencing anxiety when having my mamos. I also had other techs in this facility over compress my breasts. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. read more

Went in on April 2nd for an ultra sound. Everything went fine. Office and patient areas were very clean and staff was both professional and some what friendly. i was informed it would take 2-3 business days to get the results, At which time they would be sent to my Urologist for my next appointment. Well took 2 weeks to hear anything and in fact I did not hear from San Lake Imaging. it took multiple calls from myself and my primary doctor to get in touch with anyone. Apparently my images were just sitting on someone's desk or some file somewhere waiting for someday when someone would get around to evaluating them. You know for a 900 dollar image I expect better service. Customer service is just as important on the back end as it is the front end. Sand Lake Imaging is all friendly and welcoming when you need to make an appointment but God forbid you need anything after service is rendered. I went there over last few years only because I was referred there. this last time I went in Oct/Nov 2017. I got a dx mammogram and MRI. The mammogram had to done 3 times over. Hurt so so very BAD. I was crying. Pulled / twisted/ and smashed ...yes twisted/rolled (she called it). On my gosh, never again. I have hurt for all this year. Will never go back. And guess what to top it off, I paid (as they have you pay for your service before testing) and just today they reported me to Collection for 725.00...Can't believe it and there was NEVER any bill sent or call made to me to tell me I owed extra, which I should not have owed a dime..but nothing not even a notice to collection???!!! Now I have to dispute it and get it removed....they are terrible on all ends from testing to billing..Never again. read more
