No sence of urgency and Unprofessional. I had a 8:00 a.m. appointment and arrived 30 mins before ( they clearly instruct you to be there 15 min before appointment) So that there is plenty of time for them to collect anypayment or missing DOCS. Door was locked untill exactly 8:00 a.m. Let me start by saying I have never received so many txt msg from a Doctors office before. I had done all the online paperwork and uploaded I.D. /Insurance card and Doctors Order. Come to find out all that time spent on submitting all DOCS was a waste of time because they neglected to verify the Doctors order and it so happens it was incorrect. I was told the technician reviews the order on the day of. Appointment was canceled and was told I would get txt but ...still waiting. read more

I made myself a little promise that I'll do 5 reviews when I get an ROTD ... so here goes #3, and it's SimonMed. I'll put it in as a tip as well, but know that, when you go east on 434, past the strip mall, as well as the next entrance which is 221, the Realty place, and you'll see a taller building where SimonMed is. I was there for an MRI. Wait was good - I was taken in about 15 minutes after completing the forms (Still bugs me to no end that we have fill out so many flipping forms - I mean, if my doctor referred me here, do you think it would make sense for them to pass ALL the information onto whomever I go next? Will that day come before my funeral? Talking about funereal experience, getting an MRI of your brain is kind of like that. Tech (Bruce is his name, I think) was very helpful. He kind of told me a little about what the procedure would be like, gave me the earplugs and headphone and into the chamber I went. What would have been even better is an estimate of how long it takes (he told me when I asked), as well as a preview of how the sounds and beeps work, so that you might not be surprised by what happens (or doesn't happen) next. Despite the noise, I had actually dozed off by the time Bruce said, it's done! And away I went, still wondering... they asked if I was claustrophobic? What if I were? The experience was really frustrating and terrible in this particular center, my Doctor/Primary Physician made a referral for images, a BILATERAL Diagnostic Mammogram (both breasts), the technician decided of his own free will , without consulting the patient or the primary doctor, perform only the image of the Left breast, ignoring and not doing the image of the right breast, even though my insurance had already pre-approved the payment for the BILATERAL image, and I explained that for the patient it was important that they be done on both breasts. However, he ignored the request. After being sent on a wild goose chase to find the Longwood office I finally arrived but had to look them up on line. The address was wrong on their website, After getting there I was able to get my MRI but was told their X-ray machine had been down over a week (even though they scheduled the X-ray). Had to go to a different location. Each location gave me a "DVD" of the MRI and X-ray My Doctor was unable to open or view any information on either DVD. I went back to the location and they said the info was on the disc and they could see it fine. They told me any laptop or computer with a disc reader would be able to access the data. I took the discs home and attempted to access them on both my laptop and my dvd reader and neither could open or read the info.' I looked at their FAQ section and found a section that said "Can't read data on disc". But when I opened that FAQ it said to contact their IT dept. Good luck on that. No where did I find a listing for their 'IT' dept. So here I sit with two unreadable disks that apparently only 'THEIR' software can open and my Doctor is without my readable scans. What a POOR outfit. FIND A DIFFERENT IMIGING COMPANY!!! read more

I live in Avalon but drive to Simon Med Longwood every year for two reasons- Sherita & Valika. Valika at the desk is thorough, funny & compassionate about the nervousness of a mammogram. Sherita, the tech, is amazing. She explains it all & is great about putting you at ease & keeping you distracted with conversation. I could save gas and go to a closer locale but fine driving longer for quality care. read more

I made an appointment that morning for an unexpected MRI and was pleasantly surprised that they had an opening. I checked in and filled out my paperwork and was promptly taken back. The front desk staff were friendly and my MRI tech was super helpful in providing me with a disc when I walked out to bring with me to my appointment with the orthopedic surgeon. She even offered to provide the previous MRI, but my name hadn't merged in their system yet from my maiden name to my married name so she was unable to do so. No biggie, I can pop back in and get that in the future. All in all, it was an easy and pleasant experience. read more

THE ADDRESS ON YELP IS WRONG! I ended up wasting a good 45 minutes driving around, trying to navigate from my phone, and calling the office for assistance. The actual location is not off Ronald Reagan like the map shows, it's further East down 434. Make sure you check the location on their website first. Not much to say about the place itself. It took them a long time to get to me but that may have had something to do with coming in late as mentioned above. read more

I had a great experience at this office. The staff was pleasant, the office was clean and the imaging tech that took my mammogram was very gentle. Sherita(the tech) was not only gentle, she has such a pleasant personality. By this being my first time at this office, she made me feel comfortable and at ease. My experience was negative, I contacted your customer service and spoke with a rep and a supervisor and still no one has gotten back to me. If I had a choice, I wouldn't use your facility again. You state that you value patients time yet you wasted my time in providing a faulty system that schedules visits during the staffs lunch period. That is terrible management on your part not theirs. It leads me to wonder how many errors can happen because you don't give a damn about the welfare of your employees and don't even allow them to properly step away and breathe or even eat. You are too concerned about making money by scheduling work back to back. You completely disrespected me by wasting my time. For your information, I had to extend my PTO because I needed that ultrasound, again I don't like my time and money being interfered with, your terrible management did both. I know I am not the first person to complain about this, but clearly you don't give a damn about your patients. I will be posting my experience on all social media platforms and with the BBB, so people are aware of your malfunctions and no interest in making it better. read more

This office is new, and i have to say, I am impressed. The front desk staff is friendly and professional and I was seen quickly despite the office being busy. The best part was the imaging tech, Sherita. I have never had such a pleasant mammogram experience. She was gentle (or as gentle as possible when you're having your soft parts smushed between metal plates) and her directions were clear, which meant I didn't feel flustered and awkward like I always have at other imaging centers. SimonMed Imaging-Longwood will obtain authorizations for MRI from your insurance company but when the billing is submitted your insurance company tells you that SimonMed Imaging-Longwood is out of network with Anthem BCBS POS but SimonMed Imaging Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs I & II, Oviedo, Waterford Lakes, and Winter Park ARE in-network. I looked at my EOB and they billed my insurance as "SimonMed Imaging Florida LLC". I've called SimonMed Imaging Longwood only to be referred to there Billing Department at some 800 number. It is frustrating and SimonMed Longwood doesn't want help with an appeal despite them reassuring me that they are contracted with my insurance and giving me auth#'s they obtained and basically told me to figure it out myself with Anthem BCBS POS while their billing department keeps sending me a bill for out-of-network benefit responsibility of $2855.14 when my in-network benefits responsibility is $55.47. I've never gone to a physician or diagnostic testing facility out-of-network. You would SimonMed Imagining Longwood would want to assist with sorting out if they truly are in-network with Anthem BCBC POS and resubmit the supporting information needed to get these claims paid as in-network. They don't even want to explore option of accepting in-network payments since they are adamant that they are in-network... they rather hold me responsible for 90% of what they billed Anthem. SimonMed Imaging-Longwood will give good customer service in the beginning but once the diagnostic testing is done they are done with you and pass you off to an outside company that does their billing. Their billing department quotes me what my insurance states on the EOB, but they need to resubmit the billing with auth#s SimonMed Imaging-Longwood obtained and verify the tax ID# they are using to bill Anthem BCBS because all the other SimonMed Imaging facilities are in-network with the exception of SimonMed Imaging-Longwood. read more
