Bought a couch here bout a year ago and it was great. More recently I bought a tv stand which was fair. It came in chipped so I ended up paying like nothing for it but in the end it all worked out. Overall I would say the service here is decent, not great but decent. I have to say that their furniture looks great and is very very cheap. If u go to bobs or jordans most of the stuff in there looks horrible, like it looks so bad I can't really even describe it. I am not sure who is buying this garbage but rest assured someone it because both of those companies do quite a bit of business and advertising. So my hat is off to Boston interiors for having nice looking furniture at great prices! Most times you can't find the two together. read more

I purchased a sectional with a chaise with custom upholstery. The furniture arrived in November and while I love the style, color and frame construction, the quality of the upholstery is poor. The stitching on the cushion covers bunches around the corners, the material used inside of the back cushions is flimsy and constantly needs to be fluffed. The seat cushion material is also inferior. there is an unsightly seam on top of the chaise cushion that I have complained about only to be told that there was nothing to be done. The couch doesn't look or feel like a new piece of furniture and I will most likely have to reupholster this in a year or two. Not in my plan... Don't think I will purchase another couch from BI.... read more

The furniture I ordered is nice but not worth the horrific customer service. They delivered the wrong bed to me after waiting over 10 weeks for its arrival. Then a temporary replacement bed was delivered and they wanted additional delivery fees. After another 8-10 weeks, and another ask for more delivery fees, the bed was finally delivered. All this meant multiple phone calls and time off of work. The Boston Interiors solution? Nothing. Not even $100 off or a story credit after ordering two beds, nightstand, and other pieces. The delivery window is also a joke -- call the night before with a three hour window. This necessitates, for most of us, taking the whole day off. When calling the delivery center, the staff was extraordinarily rude saying "that's the way all furniture stores work." No dear, they do not. read more

Ordered two very expensive custom fabric couches from the store. Immediately both couches started to pill. I called and dealt with customer service and they replaced all the Cushions on both couches.They first told me I should shave my couch and I was not happy with this response after spending so much money. While picking out fabric they never mention that certain fabrics whole pill and look like crap after a few months. Sure enough the new cushions pilled again after a few months. I called customer service again and they refuse to do anything about it saying the only replace the cushions once. I was thrilled to order the Mayer Sofa and Mayer Chair from the Stoughton Branch Boston Interiors on January 12th. The products were beautiful, comfortable, chic - really everything that I wanted. When I was told the sofa would take 6 weeks to come in and be delivered, I thought, perfect timing! I'll be on vacation during that week any way. I was told the sofa would arrive on February 20th, so being proactive, I called on the 20th to see if the merchandise had arrived. It had! We set up a delivery date for the following Saturday, that being the last day of my vacation. Eager for the furniture's arrival, I cleaned out my living room completely, shoveled a clear path to the front entrance to our house for easy access, and spent my day scouting out accent pillows and such at several department stores nearby. To my dismay, Tony at the Stoughton Branch Boston Interiors called me less than 24 hours before delivery stating that the items ordered were sent with two different colored fabrics; the chair being mink, and the sofa being olive green. Tony said, "the colors don't look that bad together if you'd like me to deliver both products." First of all, if I wanted two different colored items, I would have ordered two different colored items. With the price I paid for the merchandise, I would not settle for two different colored items! To wait 6 weeks, clear my living room completely, purchase accent accessories, etc. just to have a phone call only 24 hours before delivery stating that the wrong products were shipped from the factory, "our bad," is just absolutely unacceptable. For an upscale establishment, I am shocked that the items were not inspected prior to leaving the warehouse, I am shocked that the products were not inspected immediately upon arrival at the Stoughton Branch, and I am shocked that Tony provided no remedy to my dissatisfaction. I was looking forward to returning to Boston Interiors after my sofa and chair arrived to purchase coffee table, end tables, and ottomans, but after the experience today with no effort to correct the situation, I am sure I will not be returning. After this experience, I voiced my concerns to customer service. They too provided no remedy to the inconvenience they caused my husband and me. If I hadn't paid for the items in full, I would have canceled the order completely. After all was said and done, it took 8 weeks for my furniture to arrive. I will NEVER consider Boston Interiors again. Their customer service is pathetic. read more

Their furniture is garbage. I bought a couch for $2100. After literally 2 weeks the material started to "pill" so around the 3 week mark I called and spoke to the salesperson in Saugus I was working with and she said they only have a 7 day return policy but I could upgrade the upholstery. I said no. She said you can try a lint roller or vacuum. So I have been doing that. Then after about 6 months I go to sit down and one of the wood beams breaks. Now I'm an average sized person. 5'7", weigh 150. I didn't jump on it. I just sat. I call again and they say you can bring it to the warehouse and they will fix it. Now this is a couch and the warehouse is in Stoughton and we live in revere. I'm not going to pay for a delivery service to bring a couch that is clearly faulty to get fixed. So my husband jimmied it by using some plywood. That's the couch. The table we bought is also falling apart and was since a month into owning it. It's distressed but got very splintery to the point that again my husband had to sand it and poly it. The chairs we bought have both broken. One from tipping backward onto the floor and one from who knows what. The top of it is splitting somehow. Just total crap and not cheap either. You get better stuff at ikea. Don't shop here if you want your furniture to last! read more

I recently bought a couch at Boston Interiors and had wonderful service, I left feeling confident and pleased. Within weeks of having my furniture in my home I was having a problem with it and contacted the store. I found the customer service to be responsive and helpful. Within days they sent out someone to inspect the furniture, realizing there was a manufacturing flaw they quickly replaced the piece. I was pleased and certainly satisfied with the outcome and how well they problem solved the issue. They stood by their product. I would certainly shop at Boston Interiors again and would recommend their product and services to others. read more

I worked with one salesperson to design a large family room which I was happy with. Purchased a complete room, 2 sofas, 2 chairs, 3 tables and a rug for a total just under 8,000 in the month of Jan. SURPRISE! SURPRISE! I purchased down feather furniture without being told. I have feathers constantly coming out and some of the cushions look half full. They have been to my house 5 TIMES and still have not got it right to replace the inside of the cushions. Also, one of the tables is falling apart. This happened in the first month. Will NEVER, EVER purchase here again. Consumers should be able to have a lemon law on everything, not just cars. Where are the consumers rights as a purchaser ???? Why do most retailers continue to sell consumers crap for moderate to high pricing and get away with it??? read more

We bought a sectional, chair with matching ottoman, a round ottoman, 2 end tables, an occasional table and a bookcase with doors back in Jan. of 2016. We used the design service and were happy with the way everything looked. This review is about the quality of the sectional couch. The fabric started pilling after about a year which was disappointing, but what really has me feeling disillusioned about purchasing furniture is this. My 9 year old son ran and jumped onto the couch. Shame on him and I don't really expect a couch to hold up to that. We heard a big crack and the couch started bowing and sagging in the middle. So we flipped it over and peeled back the black fabric to see what the damage was. When we opened it up we were surprised to see press board, CARDBOARD and short pieces of wood nailed together that provided no support. The main piece of wood that runs across the front of the sofa was a 1x4, which means the main support was a piece of wood that was about 1/2" thick and filled with knots which further weakened the wood. That piece had cracks running lengthwise all the way down. Now if I had bought this at Bob's furniture I wouldn't have been surprised, but I thought we were buying a bit better furniture than that. The price certainly led me to believe we were. Now I'm left feeling so unsure about purchasing furniture since the only way to see what you are getting is to pull off the fabric on the bottom the day you get it. I feel like they don't care how they build it because who's ever going to see. I feel cheated. read more

Had a great experience purchasing furniture for my new home. I attended the warehouse sale and scored an amazing deal on a sectional sofa. I ended up paying less than I would have at a discount store like Bob's for a better piece that will last much longer. Customer service was very attentive, helpful, and efficient. I chose to have my purchases delivered and I'm glad I did (the sofa is enormous). The delivery men showed up right on time, quickly and safely getting my giant pieces through my very narrow door. Ordered a table and chairs and was very excited (Marietta). Delivery was made during renovation so I did not have much time to really inspect the table. BIG MISTAKE! I couldn't help noticing at first that the distressed white legs looked dirty and smudged, not distressed. I actually tried to clean them up. No luck. I then noticed that the distressed top was extremely distressed with very little finish. Also there were huge knots that were about 1/2 inch deep. If liquid gets in I will never be able to get it clean, it would puddle. The ultimate deciding factor was when I ran my hand across the top and got a huge splinter. Someone could get really hurt not to mention ruining clothing. I called the store in Stoughton and was told there would be a pick up charge unless we brought it back ourselves, we had already paid a delivery charge. The ultimate insult was when I was told we could not get our money back and would be issued a store credit. They sold us a defective product and get around it by saying that tops vary, however the floor model was beautiful. The clerk actually said they had to replace it to make it more presentable. We are to receive a $150.00 rewards credit, a July promo, which I am still waiting for and it has been eight weeks since the purchase. Luckily we found another dining set that we really liked. However, it was back ordered until mid September. We got a call that it was in early two weeks ago but we could not get it until September 4 because they only come to our area once every two weeks and their truck was full on that Friday. There is an additional delivery charge of $99.00. Well I am cautiously excited and hope our new set is satisfactory, I will inspect it closely. Boston Interiors is a beautiful store, however, we feel that we were treated unfairly. Really inspect your delivery before the drivers leave. Reject any item you are not pleased with and send it back. A store credit will be issued if you accept it. A issue we did not fully understand. We will probably never return and have been treated far better elsewhere. read more

I enjoyed browsing as well as buying at Boston Interiors. I love their stylish furniture and the fact that they have a lot of inventory but it's not an overwhelmingly huge store. My husband and I worked with Kat, who was extremely knowledgable, had a fine sense of design, and was incredibly patient. She worked with us for a long time, gave us great suggestions, and I really recommend her. I went in one day to review some upholstery and even though Kat didn't work that day, another competent person generously gave me her time. My husband and I purchased a sofa with a chaise back in October. We had issues with it pilling/fraying not too long after the purchase. We had previously purchased two cottage beds and a large sectional sofa from Boston Interiors and several years later they are all still like new. I first called the store with my complaint and then Janice from Customer Service contacted me. A short time later, Paul came out to inspect the couch and he couldn't have been any nicer, he listened to my concerns and said someone would be back in touch with me. Janice called me back and made everything right with us. As someone who works in Customer Service, I know my job is to make customers happy with their ordering experience and we were very happy and pleased with all who helped us with our couch. Lisa from the Hanover store was very patient and went above and beyond helping us. Thank you Janice, Lisa, Paul and Darius and Bruno who delivered our new couch. Great Customer Service!! I special ordered a leather recliner. The chair itself is acceptable in spite of the fact that back, which pops up is out of alignment; there is a 1/2" gap on the back left side of the chair while it fits snuggly on the right side of the chair when it the closed position. A technician was sent out to look at it and he said it was perfectly fine as it was a moving part. I disagree. The hood of my car does not have a 1/2" gap on one side of the hood and not on the other. The store rep called and also said that the chair was fine, but agreed that she would not want an asymetrical gap on the hood of her car. Apparently, when it comes to a car (or maybe something they have purchased) they have a different standard of quality. This review is my recourse. Very disappointed. read more

Nice mid range furniture at great prices. Very good customer service, friendly delivery people. I had one of the worst customer experiences of my life at the Boston Interiors at Stoughton. I wanted to purchase two pieces of furniture that would total $1400. I was given wrong information as to the availability to see the product that I drove 35 minutes to see (one way) and when I was speaking with the sales person all she would say to me was that there was nothing she could do about it. It seemed the ownership of knowing that I would not have access to seeing the piece in question was on me....I should have known this was in an area of the store that I would not have access to in the evening....even though I had been in the same section of the store the eveing prior. I was told I could come back again if I wanted to before 5:00pm while this part of the store was open. It would be nice if I did not have to be at work at 5:00 earning the money that I wanted to spend in the store!! When I said that I felt devalued and the money that I wanted to spend in the store did not seem to be respected or appreciated at all....the sales person told me I was welcome to take my business elsewhere. BUYER BEWARE.........NO sense of customer appreciation, NO sense of respect for my money or my time......BAD sales person with no idea of how to take care of a customer. read more

I purchased 2 pieces from BI and it was my first time shopping with them. The TV console arrived and after it was delivered I noticed a series of chips on the front, small but noticeable that had been colored in so that one might not notice right away. They were small enough that not being a terribly picky person I let it go, although I was not entirely happy, I would rather not say anything than go through the hassle of a pick up and re-delivery. The second piece arrived in a custom color and this took longer, long story short the handles did not arrive as described, I then decided to call in about both pieces as I was dissatisfied with both now. In their defense they offered to take action on the console but the dresser they said I would have to pay. 30% re-stocking fee to get fixed even though the sales person admitted to me on the phone that she did not explain what I would be getting clearly to me. I then decided to escalate it to the national sales manager, left her a message, have yet to hear back and its been over a week. I will never do business with this company again, their standards are very low, To color in a piece that I paid full price for and then not to be clear with clients denotes shady business practices. I got several other pieces from Room and Board the same day, always perfect always great service from them. read more

I first purchased a desk here in the 1990's, and it has lasted forever, built like a tank. So recently (2014) I purchased a bed, and though it's attractive and has some semblance of being well-constructed, a support spine under the bed just fell out, leaving no center weight-bearing for the box spring. That piece is ridiculously flimsy, 3/4 of an inch thick, and held in by only three screws for the length of the entire bed. It appears to be a design after-thought, made out of the simplest boards. The slats too, appear cheap -- two were cracked when the bed was delivered. To repair the bed, I was told, would require having a local repair person do the work (find them yourself) -- and would involve taking the entire bed apart. This, on top of a price quote dispute that was never resolved, and as others have described, customer service that cheerfully tells you to pound sand. I'm going to the AG's office. We purchased the Solano sleeper sofa with a chaise lounge from Boston Interiors in January 2015. It was delivered in mid February. Within a week we started to notice the poor quality of the couch. The chaise lounge portion of the couch had a floating ottoman and long cushion that made it into a chaise lounge. Within only a couple weeks of delivery, the cushion started bending where the floating ottoman met the couch, making it lumpy and uncomfortable to sit on. We reported the problem to Boston Interiors and they offered a replacement cushion and sent a technician out to look at the problem. We accepted the replacement cushion, but it took weeks to arrive and while we were waiting the two other seat cushions became lumpy, as if they had the same split in the interior stuffing. Despite rotating the cushions frequently, they looked terrible and felt uncomfortable to sit on. Besides these issues, the fabric started excessively piling. The technician wrote out a report with all the problems that was seemingly ignored by customer service. An expensive sofa we had owned for less than three months looked as if we had owned it for 10 years. The two small seat cushions were flat and lumpy with a break in the stuffing vertically. Boston Interiors customer service was unhelpful and frustrating throughout the process. They accused us of not properly taking care of the couch and insisted that a fabric shaver would solve all of our problems (the technician had admitted to me that it would take me hours to use the fabric shaver to make the fabric look good again). Customer service insisted that this happens to every couch and we kept reminding them that these problems should not happen to a sofa less than 3 months old! Finally, they made the process so difficult that we settled on a partial refund because it was so time consuming. We bought a cheap Ikea sofa and are more pleased with the quality than the sofa we bought for four times the price from Boston Interiors. Plus Ikea has a much friendlier and lengthier warranty than Boston Interiors. Boston Interiors told us they will resell our sofa at a discounted price. I wish I could warn all buyers of the problems we had. read more

My husband and I purchased a new home and have lots of products we need to buy. We usually shop at Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn in Burlington or Jordan's. We decided to check out Boston Interiors in Burlington. Wonderful store and very helpful staff. We purchased two items and chose to opt out of delivery and drive the distance to pick-up in Stoughton since the items - not heavy or too large - were easily put in the back of our KIA. The weather happened to be very poor - bad rain and heavy winds. My husband suggested I continue to shop around the Stoughton store while he went back to the warehouse for pick-up. It was a busy Saturday. The packaging appeared very sturdy, wrapped in cardboard and heavy shrink-wrap, and the other item, a lamp, was completely boxed. The staff quickly helped him load it into the car and he came back to the showroom to get me. There are several other items - pictures, small table we are also looking to get from them. We got home finally and spent quite a bit of time just unwrapping, removing the thin white foam topping off the leather top of the bench and we see that the leather has been damaged with many firm indents, as well as raised bumps and 2-3 distinct scratches that stand out as very unique compared to the weathered/distressed look of the rest of the leather. The problem with the packaging is that the top leather part was not protected by any cardboard at all, just the thin white piece on top covered by shrink-wrap. Obviously, in storage, something had been leaning into the bench causing the indentations in the leather and possibly the scratching. I call Burlington and they tell me to take it back to Stoughton or pay delivery charge of $59 and they'll come out and replace it. I ask why they won't pay the delivery charge since it is obviously damaged (not by us). I explain that if we had paid for delivery of this item, they still would have had to come back with another item at their own expense, so how is this different exactly? Since it will involve another 3-4 hour trip for us, this is a bit of a big deal! Anyway, she very nicely refers me to customer service telling me that they are very nice to deal with. WRONG! They honestly don't understand what the term "customer service" means. First they ask me to take pictures and document damage and send them email. I do all of that but don't end up getting any further service than I did with sales associate at Burlington store. I ask them why they had me do all of that if they are just going to quote the same thing over and over to me and not have a real conversation about this problem. Customer service should involve listening to the customer without interrupting and over-talking them, and sometimes it should involve sucking up what they then say is a $69 delivery charge for a customer with damaged product who has spent over $1000 and is looking to spend more with you. It does not mean answering every question I ask by saying over and over again..."our policy states...". Customer Service does not include offering to replace the item at customer expense as if this is doing the customer a favor when they are legally obligated to replace the damaged item. I went all the way, eventually, to the management and was told that it was my responsibility and that I should have insisted they unwrap it at the warehouse. Huh? We weren't asked if we wanted them to do that and it was never given as an option in paperwork. It wouldn't have even occurred to us that it would be necessary to do that and it was a bit of a deal to unwrap it, let alone the cost it would take of then re-wrapping it. I would have felt like I was going a little over the top to demand this, let alone the time, etc. (What does all that heavy shrink wrap cost exactly?) I said, nobody ever even suggested that we could ask for that to be done and it is not stated in their customer pick-up sheet - just that items will be given to you in factory sealed boxes. I feel pretty strongly that they should ask us if we want to unwrap and inspect - that would be customer service, rather than this don't-ask-don't-tell policy! They will now have to sell this piece in their warehouse sale at significant price discount or send back to manufacturer - all company expenses that could easily be avoided by their assuming a $59 delivery fee. That would go a long way in avoiding problems like this. For customer service they could even offer me a warehouse discount but that would be more than $59. They could also have allowed us to return it to Burlington - way easier for us, but they wouldn't budge. Bottom line, they don't care if you are upset over defects with product. We will have to suck up the 3-4 hour drive to now return both items. Even though we love the furniture we purchased, this whole experience has left us feeling that we won't enjoy having these things in our home, and unfortunately we have to be done with Boston Interiors. read more

boston interiors furniture store in mashpee, i recently purchased a couch from them, its called the ginger sofa, looked nice enough on the floor, sat in it and it seemed nice, most of all i liked the style of it, it also is made by carlylei believe and is a material called sunbrella...delivery date was 10-10 -16..four months later sitting on it felt like i was in a sink hole and was very uncomfortable, i reported this to a donna packy in the complaint dept. she was very good in getting back to me, i sent her pictures of the seams that were not alliened, cushions that were gathered with what looked like cotton batter, and later sent her pictures of the seating minus the cushions which clearly showed the springs and material gathering around them.. her supervisor said the couch looked fine , just like the floor model and for this reason she would not consider any resolution!! but donna did say she would send me new cushions, i thanked her..but later realized it was the springs of the frame, today a tech. came out and took pictures of the inside of this couch. i could clearly see right through this material also noted that the wooden frame was thinner than the baseboard around the floor... poorly made.. the lack of concern for there customers is appaulling!! the tech just said every thing in regards to the foundation looks good!! hello its the springs.....waiting for a response... becareful when buying from them and do an inspection of your own before purchasing.... very disgusted. kim herrera read more
